Oh that's great, we'll both be looking forward "Spooky in Love" 😊 I'll miss the other commenters here too, especially the ones who were fair in their comments, except @InspectorMegre and his minions..
I’m not really familiar with the FL of the new drama replacing Recipe for Love either, but I saw Park Ki Woong’s…
I like Chocolate even though the story is heavy, but I don't like the ending of Uncontrollably Fond because the ending is sad 🥲 Spoiler: the ML's dies so this series is really heavier. That's why I'm hesitant to watch Love on the Menu because the writer of this only writes melodrama, and also I'm not ready for dramatic or heavy drama yet so I want to try Spooky in Love first. which is comedy romantic, horror. Actually I want to see you and sis @MinaM again in another drama comment section but it looks like we won't be watching the same thing after Recipe for Love.
Huh! I saw @InspectorMegre the bot again because he have nothing better to do so he keep hanging around in this comment section and saying more negative stuff. Honestly, this person is more frustrating than the drama, which isn’t even that heavy.
What drama doesn’t have flaws? Almost all dramas don’t always have perfect situations, especially family dramas, because they’re about the strengths, weaknesses, and different personalities of each family member. So naturally every scene has problems.
@InspectorMegre’s criticism is really over the top. he already dropped this drama but still keep saying all sorts of things. It feels like he's the real villain, and Mi Hyang is his sibling. This person is scary.
Like I said, Recipe for Love isn’t perfect, but what’s great about this drama is that even if the families aren’t perfect, they still care for each other. Like Ju A’s grandpa helping with her sewing, Woo Jae helping Eunbin find a job, Hyeon Bin helping Ju A from Mi Hyang’s craziness, and Seong Mi helping Ju A’s grandpa get his memories back a little. This drama doesn’t always have flaws. The family values are still there. The problems aren’t solved yet, but that doesn’t mean everything happening is totally bad. Problems do come to families, but the heartwarming moments are still part of it, so it’s not a makjang that deserves harsh criticism. Comments really need to be balanced, not just unfair overcriticism. You should be fair in every comment because Recipe for Love isn’t a bad drama that deserves to be torn down.
To those MDL readers, just a guide — the comments on this site can be confusing because everyone has different opinions. But if you want a legit opinion, feel for yourself who actually has a legit take and don’t immediately believe in the negative opinions.
But if you really want to know the story, just watch the drama yourself, at least you’ll find out if you like the drama or not. After all, we all have different preferences when watching dramas. But don’t let yourselves be fooled or immediately believe in negative comments. Otherwise if you only listen to pure negative comments, you might end up missing out on all the good dramas. So let’s pay attention and really feel it out—who’s speaking the truth and who is not.
Maybe we don’t share the same perspective on this drama, but if you’re talking about the comedic or chaotic…
I already mentioned my thanks in my comment. I'm thankful because at least you still keep watching the drama even though we have different perspectives.
I’m not really familiar with the FL of the new drama replacing Recipe for Love either, but I saw Park Ki Woong’s…
It was aired on TV Chosun so the quality isn't considered that high, but the colorful hanboks are beautiful. And what's really great about Grand Prince is the love story, the loyalty, and the happy ending. For me, it depends on the ending if I'll like a drama or not. Unfortunately I didn't really enjoy the ending of Queen For Seven Days because it's a given that it's a sad ending even though it's historically accurate. We may have different perspectives on Grand Prince and Queen For Seven Days, but the important thing is you enjoyed Queen For Seven Days and I enjoyed Grand Prince, so there's no problem about it 😊
Actress Kim Mi Sook as FL's grandma posted on her IG with actors Kim Seung Soo as Jung Han and Choi Dae Chul as Dae Han, Gong Family are so cute! 😍😍😍 Jin Se Yeon as Ju A and Yoon Seo Ah as Eunbin are showing full support by liking Kim Mi Sook posts. Aww! the princesses are so sweet 🥰🥰 The friendship of the Recipe for Love family is really inspiring and so beautiful. They really support each other. That's why I salute this cast so much because their bonding is so beautiful, and their chemistry as coworkers is really good too. Their acting and interactions feel so natural, like they're a real family. So among all the family dramas, they're one of my favorite casts. They're very friendly and heartwarming.
Someone posted a heartwarming scene from Recipe for Love on IG, but it looks like there's a problem with her reels - it's lagging, so I can't repost her post. One of the things her posted was the beautiful interaction between Gong Ju A and her grandpa Gong Gi Cheol, the grandfather and granddaughter moments plus the sweet part of the family dynamics.
You know, even though this drama's story has flaws and the families aren't perfect, what's beautiful about this drama is how natural the interaction is between each family. There are parts where they're caring and the heartwarming parts really warm your heart. That's one factor why other viewers still really enjoy this drama - because it's not over the top. Even with obstacles, it's not the typical makjang with crazy slapping and killing. Mi Hyang is the only really dangerous one here. Although Seri has a bad attitude, you can't really call her a super villain because she still gets scolded by most people. So even though the drama isn't perfect, the family values, caring, and warm scenes are what make the story feel lighter. The triple in-laws interfering also happens in other families, not just in South Korea, because of being conservative. And we know Korean culture is still very strict today, especially about their children's relationships. So even though this part has flaws, it's still realistic and very relatable.
My most favorite part in the last week episode is the scene with Ju A and her grandpa, it's so cute and heartwarming 💕
To those saying the leads' love story lacks, maybe didn't utilize more their love line well because of all the obstacles in their relationship. And the plot itself shows it's like Romeo and Juliet, so it's considered that they'll really struggle with sweet interactions. But that doesn't mean they have no chemistry. Even with their bickering they're cute to look at, and even when they're apart they're always together. The advantage of the drama with its long episodes is there's no third wheel causing major trouble. So the love story is still okay - what we're just waiting for is how they'll get back together..
That comparison to other family dramas' love stories - if you notice, the situations of the love stories aren't the same. Each one has its own story. Ju A and Hyeon Bin's situation is really difficult compared to other family drama couples whose relationships don't go through that much hardship. So hopefully before we compare, let's look at each couple's situation in the drama first, because not every story happens the same way.
In this video, even with their bickering, their chemistry is still so strong and cute. So even without that many sweet scenes, just the good chemistry alone already gives you the swoon for their pairing..
I’m not really familiar with the FL of the new drama replacing Recipe for Love either, but I saw Park Ki Woong’s…
Queen For Seven Days was good too but I didn’t like the ending. What I love about Grand Prince is that through hard times and good times, the main couple’s relationship stayed solid — they were so loyal to each other. That’s why I still enjoyed Grand Prince way more than Queen For Seven Days.
I’m not really familiar with the FL of the new drama replacing Recipe for Love either, but I saw Park Ki Woong’s…
Yoo Shi Yoon is also being co actor of Jin Se Yeon in "Grand Prince" and I liked that drama too because even though the plot had a love triangle, Jin Se Yeon stayed loyal to Yoo Shi Yoon in that story, so you don’t really feel the love triangle. And what I liked is that JSY and YSY’s love story there is really good..
I’m not really familiar with the FL of the new drama replacing Recipe for Love either, but I saw Park Ki Woong’s…
Actually we’re the same about that, I don’t really trust MDL reviews either because sometimes the comments on MDL are confusing too, everyone has different opinions and some of them are super toxic. So what I do is I just watch the drama directly. At least that way I’ll know if I’ll enjoy it or not. Why don’t you try watching that drama too? who knows you might end up liking the story.
I understand everyone’s comments on this drama because we all have different opinions. Yes, Recipe for Love may not be perfect in some aspects, but it can't be denied that it’s still more enjoyable and still has heartwarming parts compared to other dramas after Once Again. Because right after Once Again, I lost the motivation to watch anything else since their storylines weren’t my cup of tea. But because I was really curious about Recipe for Love, good thing I watched it and I don’t regret it no matter how the story goes, because I’ve still enjoyed it from the beginning until now. And to be honest, after Once Again this is also one of my favorite dramas. So no matter what happens in the next episodes, I’ll still keep watching this drama because I haven’t gotten bored with the story.
Anyway even if we have different opinions, But I’m still thankful to you all because, like me, you’re still continuing to follow this drama.
Is anyone looking forward to the drama replacing recipe for love? what are ya'll's thoughts? The cast looks good,…
I’m not really familiar with the FL of the new drama replacing Recipe for Love either, but I saw Park Ki Woong’s profile info and he also worked with that FL in a drama "You Raise Me Up" with Yoon Shi Yoon.
Unfortunately, this family weekend drama has much more potential compared to what we are witnessing right now…
Maybe we don’t share the same perspective on this drama, but if you’re talking about the comedic or chaotic side, I don’t see a lack of it at all because I still laugh at that part of the scene. And about what you’re saying regarding the slow pacing — yeah, the story dragged a bit, but there’s still no problem with the pacing for me. Because the other parts of the story are so light, I don’t really feel the slowness. But thanks anyway, at least you’re still continuing to watch this drama 😊
jaybeen Don't you understand even the most basic rules of civility? You’re the only one in this discussion forum…
You said that to yourself. Who do you think you are, the manager of MDL? Who are you?
Can’t you see that not all comments are balanced? There are other commenters like @InspectorMegre who insult characters and harshly criticize the drama and even spam, then you’re still defending him.
Look at the other people commenting — whether they say something positive or negative about the drama, at least what they say is reliable and still makes sense. But @InspectorMegre is just spamming and his comments are super weird. And you’re just gonna let a commenter like that who spams the comment section?
Hey, let me tell you — I’m not insulting commenters and I'm not the internet police either. If a commenter is obvious, I’m just saying what I really notice about them, I'm just honest. And I’m noticing that you keep repeating the same thing but using different usernames. Aren’t you obviously bots? At this point, you use different usernames but you’re saying the exact same thing.
Awww when Hyun Bin hugged Ju Ah when she was scared I got teary eyed. I miss their cuteness. Yeah, their snarky…
Yeah, I agree with the weakness of the police and how long it’s taking before they catch Mi Hyang, but who knows, in the next episodes maybe she'll get caught already..
If you mean a main character dying is the ML's grandfather or Doctor Han, there’s a reason if Hyeon Bin's Grandpa dies because he hurt his wife and he’s also blocking the main couple’s relationship. As for Seong Mi’s illness who knows she might not die in the ending because that kind of illness is survival, if you notice the writer isn’t into killing main characters. Look, Ju A and her father, uncle, and grandmother all survived from Mi Hyang’s bad accomplice.
in addition to my own opinion, I'd also like to quote and paraphrase other commenters' views:Over the past month…
Yes, we have the right to comment on how we feel about the drama, but to over-criticize and act like there’s nothing positive left in the drama, then it even insult the characters, that's not good anymore. You can already express every opinion in the right way, and not through harsh criticism.
I keep seeing this kind of post or comment over and over with tons of unfair likes then they use different account names. Is this a dummy account? Because whenever @InspectorMegre is noticed, there’s also a post like this. Are you guys are connected? It's already suspicious! 🤔
They're entitled to their opinion, and I just wanted to share my perspective because their comment felt overly…
Yeah you’re right. Even if this drama has weaknesses, it’s not right for him to criticize it that harshly because it’s not that bad to the point of trashing it so badly. Yes the story has flaws, but there are also light and heartwarming moments in the situation that you can still learn from. Honestly, perfect dramas are rare — almost all of them have flaws in their story too. But look at how bitter @InspectorMegre is. He’s even spamming repeated hate like he’s a dummy account that won’t stop. He’s actually more frustrating than this drama, which isn’t even that heavy.
Episode 44 may have flaws, but honestly I still enjoyed other scenes because Ju A and Hyeon Bin’s bickering was funny, and I also laughed at VP taking pictures of them. Ju A’s grandpa is cute too — he’s helping his granddaughter with sewing and he’s so happy with Hyeon Bin. At least there are scenes for Eun Bin and Woo Jae too. There might also flaws in this week’s episode, but maybe there will still be some light scenes that happen.
