Another Saturday without "Recipe for Love" I feel empty, I really miss this drama and the cast so bad!š I still can't move on until now because it's been so long since I watched a family drama, and now that I finally got to watch a very heartwarming, optimistic, and beautiful family drama like "Recipe for Love", it's so hard to move on yet.
But out of curiousity I tried watching "Spooky in Love" and thankfully I did enjoy the first two episodes, but I really miss following "Recipe for Love" every weekend. I hope there will be more dramas like this that are good to watch..

For 50 episodes right now there aren't any yet, but back then there were also optimistic family dramas like "Recipe for Love", they are "Once Again" and "My Father Is Strange"
I'm so happy that my dream came true of Jin Se Yeon being in a great drama after "Bad Memory Eraser", and after so many years of waiting. It's really good word of mouth. Such beautiful blessings happened this year with Jin Se Yeon's return to drama.
The story of "Recipe for Love" is so beautiful, really heartwarming. There are so many lessons to learn from it. It has good love story and it's truly about family. This is really the true family drama with heart.

We may have different opinions about this drama, but sorry I don't agree with you saying that this drama is average. It may have flaws and some dragging parts, but the story was still written well because it has lessons. It's very heartwarming, there aren't many villains, no love triangle or love square, and this drama still has heart, then none of the main characters died. They're all alive and happy in the ending of the story.
And about your list, not all of them are my cup of tea. Only two that I liked from what you mentioned: "Once Again" and "My Father Is Strange"
I don't think this drama is average. Other family dramas are even more average after Once Again, so I almost dropped those dramas because some of them are heavy or have that 'makjang' vibe, then unrealistic. There are a lot of frustrated characters and it's boring.
Although we all have our own opinions, for me "Recipe for Love" has still heart, good romance family drama and you can really feel the real family here. The family dynamics are good, it's very light hearted & heartwarming, and there aren't many villains. No love triangle or love square, and the chemistry of the cast is great.

Me too. The only thing that got me back into family dramas was "Recipe for Love." If it werenāt for this drama, Iād probably still be in a slump with family dramas. The last time I seriously watched one was "Once Again", and I ended up dropping the others because their storylines and the cast chemistry just werenāt my cup of tea.

Iāve noticed a lot of commenters here are looking for Minseo. I want to see her again too, but she was only a guest role so I guess that was the extent of her contract.
As for the leads, Iām seeing commenters criticizing them, saying it was a ādisasterā and constantly criticizing Ju Aās character. Wow, this only happens here. We all know the nonsense on MDL. On other SNS platforms theyāre getting nothing but appreciation, especially on IG because they faithfully love each other.
And the best part ā even though they broke up, there was no annoying love triangle, love square, ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend in their relationship. Their relationship may not have been perfect because of the breakup, but it was so pure, so cute, and so loyal.
Thatās why compared to other main couples in family dramas, I still prefer the love story of Ju A and Hyeon Bin. The others are just more frustrating.
Whatās clear in "Recipe for Love" is that it shows the weaknesses, strengths, and different personalities of every character, so it's clear that their love story isnāt bad at all. It wasnāt perfect because of the obstacles, but at least they grew and they still chose to fight for their love.
I rewatched episode 50 and now I understand even more the real message and lessons of this drama. Thanks to the writer and director for doing justice to this family drama story. And I think the story didnāt go downhill because the ending was still reasonable.
