I don't really understand people that don't enjoy these type of Weekend Family Dramas
They are actually demanding and they don’t want to face the reality of life.
They want the situation to be perfect. Where can you find a perfect family and love life in real life? There’s no such thing as a perfect relationship. This drama is just based on what really happens in life. We’re not saints so we can’t be perfect. This drama is actually great if you really understand it. It shows all the different behavior, strengths and weaknesses of each person. It’s not that unrealistic 'everything is always perfect' because there’s no such thing as a perfect situation even in real life. That’s why I love how realistic this drama is because honestly, life isn’t always a rainbow. We also face problems, weaknesses, and trials. If you notice the story of other family dramas are even worse because aside from their situation being heavy, their story feels vague, dragged out, and kind of unrealistic.
Just don’t mind the complainers anymore. What’s important is we just enjoy this drama..
Did I not paid attention didn't ML initiated the break up? Why are they saying that the ML was more invested than…
Yeah, I rewatched the drama. Hyeon Bin was the first one who broke up with Ju A because he understood that Ju A’s mom was sick and Ju A’s grandma stopped them, so even Ju A weakened and her perspective changed because of their breakup. Honestly, both of them weakened because of the obstacles. Good thing Ju A had a friend who made her understand and fight for her love for Hyeon Bin.
Some commenters here are really unfair harsh criticizing Ju A. Yeah, she has weaknesses but she still stayed loyal to Hyeon Bin until now even though their relationship wasn’t perfect because of so many obstacles. We should be thankful that despite how long this drama ran, there was no third wheel in the story even when the leads broke up. Ju A may not be perfect but she still stood by her relationship with Hyeon Bin and they got back together. I hope we won’t just focus on the characters’ weaknesses and also look at the positive things they did. I really admire the leads because despite the hardships in their relationship, they stayed faithful to each other and didn’t love anyone else. This drama shows the different kinds of relationships every couple has. Honestly, both leads weakened when they were separated, although the FL's weakened first because she only saw the negative side. But I’m happy that Ju A also realized her true love for Hyeon Bin. Still, Ju A and Hyeon Bin are not a letdown for me. No matter what obstacles, it’s still them. Some people here love to compare, but the other couples here didn’t go through as much as the leads did. I’m amazed at how loyal the leads were to each other. This is where you see real love — despite any weakness, they’re still the ones who truly love each other. Actually after Grand Prince and Queen: Love And War this is also one of the love stories I like that Jin Se Yeon ended up in. "Faithful when it comes to love" So I’m really thankful to the writer that she didn’t add a third-wheel/ love triangle or love square to it.
I hope before we share our opinion, we first understand what each story is really trying to convey, and lets not just look at the negative side. I hope you don’t copy @InspectorMegre who just overcriticizes the drama like he thinks what his saying is always valid but it's not.
The truth is, no one has a perfect behavior, and at least this drama shows the different personalities of each person and shows the advantages and disadvantages of every mistake and situation. Honestly, this drama also has lessons that I really admire. I hope there will be more dramas like this.
If you only knew the sadness I’m feeling right now because this drama is about to end. Finally, after so long without watching a family drama, Recipe for Love came along and it’s one of the things that made me happy and became a blessing to me. Now I don’t know when I’ll be able to watch another family drama because the next family dramas coming out just don’t seem like my cup of tea.
I hope I can at least see fair opinions here that are direct to the point. You can share both positive and negative opinions but in a proper way, and understand why each character has weaknesses and strengths because it’s not always weaknesses that are shown here — positive things happen too. That’s why I love this drama because it has a lot of realistic parts and stories that I can relate to.
47 and 48 were really good. I can’t believe next week is the end!!!
Me too sis, I can’t believe it — time flies so fast. 'Recipe for Love' is end this week. We followed this drama for 6 months. Back then I was just waiting for this drama, and now it’s ending this week. Honestly I'm not ready to let go of this drama yet, I’m really going to miss the whole cast and this drama because it gave me hope to watch family drama again. Thanks, and I’m glad you liked episodes 47 and 48 too.
Wow! @InspectorMegre is still here, he already dropped this drama, so what is this crazy person still doing in the comment section? Looks like Jo Mi Hyang possessed him. Damn, this person is so disappointing. He have the nerve to still comment here and all his comments are just negative spam insulting and rudeness This crazy person is so ridiculous and inhumane!!!
This person doesn't deserve to be in any MDL comment section, he is a mood killer!!! 🤬
Although we each have our own opinion about episode 47 regarding Ju A and Hyeon Bin’s relationship, like I said, this drama shows the weaknesses, strengths, and different personalities or behavior of each character, and also problems never go away because they’re part of life too. If the situation has no flaws, then it’s not realistic anymore, because honestly family life and love life is not always perfect. It also comes with trials/tests. At this point, Ju A may have weaknesses in the relationship, but the good thing is she keeps following Hyeon Bin and doesn’t look for someone else just to forget him. What’s nice about this story is there really isn’t a third wheel — Jun Hyeok is always supporting Ju A and Hyeon Bin’s relationship. As for the wedding, there are also lead couples who get married near the end of the drama. It really depends on the situation and the story.
In this scene, it’s good that Ju A made Seri realize the golf incident from before, and Ju A showed she can stand her ground here.
Honestly in real life, a couple’s relationship isn’t always perfect. They also fight for many reasons, so I can relate to Ju A and Hyeon Bin’s relationship because I know someone with the same situation as theirs. That’s why this drama feels realistic — it happens to other couples too. But still, Hyeon Bin and Ju A do fix their relationship. Not immediately, but at the right time.
Just look at how Ju A wouldn’t be weakened in the relationship when there are so many obstacles in their relationship. Part of her weakening is also what their mothers say or the interference of Hyeon Bin’s grandfather.
However though Seri was also one of the obstacles in Ju A and Hyeon Bin’s relationship, but even if Seri can be forgiven, what’s important is that Ju A still calls her out and doesn’t let herself lose to Seri’s snide remarks.
Don’t you notice guys, the writer’s style of how she writes the drama episodes? Even if there’s a problem in every situation, it still comes with a solution, so there’s a possibility this drama will also end on a happy note..
Hyeon Bin prepared a presentation to express his true feelings for Ju A about their wedding plan but of course Seri is still kind of an obstacle, I'm kinda curious about today's episode. I'm thinking about how Ju A and Hyeon Bin will convince their families to make someone agree about their marriage plan?
Recipe for Love made it to the top 5 list of the top 20 " Drama Brand Reputation Rankings" again this July. With so many heavy-hitter rival dramas, Recipe for Love still managed to stay in the top 5. K-viewers really love this drama because aside from having a heartwarming story, the drama is still interesting, but this will end next week with a total 50 episodes. I’m definitely going to miss this drama and the cast 🥹😘
Congratulations! again to the whole Recipe for Love team. I hope we get more family dramas like this 🙏🥰
Honestly there are so many beautiful moments from this drama that I’ll never forget. Yes it has flaws, but those flaws serve as lessons to fix mistakes. The drama was written so beautifully. When the FL’s grandpa came into the Gong Family’s life, he gave such important advice and he’s so wise even though his memory isn’t fully intact yet. His character is so positive. Then the characters of VP and Jun Hyeok, the half siblings, are also great — they’re really supportive of the leads Ju A and Hyeon Bin’s relationship. They never became a love square or an obstacle in the story, the love story of the leads in this drama is refreshing. And no matter what evil Jo Mi Hyang did, she didn’t kill anyone from the Gong Family. Plus, Ju A’s coworkers never abandoned each other — they’re all loyal no matter what. Even when Director Baek was doing stuff, Jun Hyeok and Hyeon Bin pretended first just to get him out of the company.
And uncle Dae Han is also a cheerful/cheery character, Ji Hu is also a good son, and Woo Jae was supportive and helpful to Eun Bin, and Eun Bin never gives up at work even when it’s hard. Minseo didn’t become an obstacle for Eun Bin and Woo Jae. And Seong Mi may not be a perfect mom, but she knows how to give advice for problems. And even though the leads broke up and bickered, what’s beautiful is they stayed loyal to each other — they never looked for someone else. And the best part, there was no love triangle or love square in their relationship. They still chose their love even though their situation was hard. And thank goodness Mi Hyang got caught and her scary scenes didn’t drag on. If it was a different writer, the story might’ve gotten more complicated.
Even with flaws in some parts, I’m grateful that writer Park Ji Sook kept the story positive and beautiful, and things actually get resolved. I love that every situation in this drama has a lesson. I’m thankful this drama exists this year because it’s one of those dramas with heart, and every situation comes with a heartwarming moment. This might be my #1 for this year, especially if the ending is good. Kudos to the writer — she still made the story great in episodes 45 and 46. No wonder people say The Tale of Lady Ok is good, because this writer is really talented. Even with problems or flaws in every situation, she still writes the story with a solution for every problem, without making the events turn ugly.
I also want to see her in a lot of projects, but it depends on her agency because after her dramas Born Again and Bad Memory Eraser she was on hiatus for a long time. Good thing the great project Recipe for Love came to her, and I’m really happy I’m enjoying this drama and her reunion with Park Ki Woong as a couple. I really hope there’s a miracle with her agency and she gets a lot of good projects 🙏
Jin Se Yeon posted on her IG about her selfie as Gong Ju A, I love her pictures, she looks beautiful here 😍❤️ And it's nice to see that her former co stars like Han Chae Ah from "Bridal Mask" Kim Jae Joong from "Bad Memory Eraser" and her Queen: Love And War co stars are still supportive until now and they liked her post and even her Recipe for Love family are supportive too, I'm happy because a lot of Jin Se Yeon's co-workers love her, proof that she's a good person and friend 🥰
And they showed the whole thing about actor Kim Seung Soo’s food truck support from the Recipe for Love set the other day. The cast is really so heartwarming and friendly - they’re like a real family. That’s why, among all the co-stars of Jin Se Yeon and Park Ki Woong, they’re also one of my favorite actors and actresses that I admire. And it's nice to see such a beautiful atmosphere on the set of Recipe for Love. The cast really love each other 💕
The confrontation between veteran actresses Kim Mi Sook as Ju A's Grandma and Jo Mi Hyang. Although I’m really annoyed at Jo Mi Hyang in this scene, both her and actress Kim Mi Sook are amazing. Their acting is so effective. Kim Mi Sook’s performance here truly deserves the Daesang Award. The director did a great job too - the actresses are all very believable.
I really love episode 46. It has lessons and warm moments in the story, and my favorite scenes are Ju A and Hyeon Bin getting back together, plus the strengthening words from Ju A's grandpa and many more. Recipe for Love is really one of my comfort dramas. I love this drama and the wonderful cast so much. I'm thankful this great drama went to Jin Se Yeon and Park Ki Woong - it was really meant for them 🥰🥰
But it's just sad that only four episodes are left for this great drama and it will end next week. No matter what flaws or problems happened, this drama is beautiful -other things get resolved and there's always a heartwarming and good situation, so I still admire the writer and director. I'm also really impressed by the acting performance of the cast. All of them are believable and it feels like they're really a family because their chemistry is great and their interactions are natural. I don't know when I'll be able to watch a family drama again? because I really can't move on from Recipe for Love until now, after Once Again this drama is the one that gave me a reason to watch family dramas again, so this will be memorable for me.
This drama doesn't deserve a low rating. I didn't have any problem with the original 8.0 rating because I'm aware that there are many haters on this site, but a 7.6 rating is not really deserved by this drama. To be honest, ratings or sometimes reviews on MDL aren't always trustworthy because there are many bots here..
If this drama has a satisfying ending, I'll definitely recommend it to my acquaintances. The rating here is totally unbelievable.
I really really love this scene. It's obvious Jun Hyeok had a Plan B from the start to expose Director Baek. Finally the siblings and friends made up 😊❤️ And Ju A is so beautiful in her outfit and hairstyle this look really suits her. Her stylist did a great job on this drama 👍
Another my favorite outfit for Ju A is her black outfit. She really slayed the black outfit, she looks incredibly gorgeous! 😍🖤💖 And even though Ju A and Hyeon Bin are always bickering, they’re still so cute and fun to watch. They’re like a real married couple already. Their chemistry is really amazing! 🥰🥰
"This part is funny despite the misunderstanding because of Jun Hyeok’s secret plan. Ju A and the VP don’t know how to apologize, and the VP’s actions/movements are hilarious."😂
I love this scene of Ju A’s grandma and grandpa so much. Their chemistry is perfect too. Such amazing actor and actress. You really get drawn into their scene. They’re really the right cast as Ju A’s grandma and grandpa 😍😍
And of course, lastly, Ju A and Hyeon Bin finally confessed their true feelings in this scene, but it really reminded me of their characters in Bridal Mask, Mok Dan and Shunji Kimura. They reunited here and I couldn't help imagining Joo Won's reaction as Lee Kang To. I really don't like love triangles and love squares, but if we're talking plot twist, I want Joo Won and Han Chae Ah to cameo. And for a unique ending, Joo Won as Lee Kang To gets Ju A back from Park Ki Woong as Hyeon Bin, and Han Chae Ah and Park Ki Woong end up together in the last episode. I thought it was just a cameo in my head, but they actually got Jin Se Yeon and Park Ki Woong back in the end. I really miss this Bridal Mask squad 🥹🥹
It looks like there's always a problem in the previews, but the actual story is good — there's still a lot of beautiful and happy things happening in the situation.
You know what’s great about this drama: even when problems come up or there are flaws in the situation, there are still scenes that get fixed, it’s warm and happy, so it’s really enjoyable to watch. Before, I didn’t want an extension for this drama because I was afraid it would ruin the story more, but now it feels like it really needs an extension because every story is getting more exciting. So no matter what others say, the great chemistry of the family dynamics really came through, the cute love story of the leads with no love triangle up to now, and the heartwarming and comedy parts of this drama. And it's so good too. So this is also one of my favorite family dramas after Once Again. And episodes 45 and 46 are also one of the best episodes in this drama..
Ep 45...Glad the kidnapper lady was caught...let's hope she doesn't have the chance to cause any more harm. The…
The kiss feels awkward, through bickering but even like that they’re still cute and funny to watch. Don't worry, there are lots of good and fun parts in episode 46 😊
