Dramas can have deeper meaning and symbolism and all of that fancy stuff without it being pointedly shoved in your face. The devices used in Navillera and Move To Heaven display a format that many K dramas that name themselves as tearjerkers employ. There's a difference between having one scene and using instruments to make it sad or emo and there's a difference when your entire show is littered with it. It felt orchestrated emotion to me. However, if you didn't feel that way and were able to enjoy it and felt a deeper connection with it, that's excellent. I don't understand why we need to have this long winded discussion. I am not trying to make you change your opinion so you shouldn't do that as well. After all, it's just an entertainment production sent out in the world so people can see it through different lenses and there's nothing wrong with that. I enjoyed reading your comment because it offers an interesting perspective. Personally I did feel like the dramas tried to be sentimental because of some of the instruments used: the deliberately deep dialogues and the music (violin mostly) that didn't feel organic to me. There's this familiarity to these instruments because they are used very often in K dramas when the makers want the watcher to feel a certain type of way during an emotional scene.
