Okay so personally, I feel like she has one foot on both sides of the line. We know she had an abortion but ofcourse we are not sure WHY? Like you said, there seems to be a reason behind that too.
As for her lying. The way she lies to her best friend, telling her how her husband tried to rape and frame her is not what good girls do xD She then also lies to her husband about everything that happened with Kevin Lee.
I don't think her husband and her friend believe in her because they believe her good intentions. Her friend thinks she never murdered anyone because it was too sloppy and Go Hye Ran is too meticulous for that. And her husband seems a bit on the naive side with his unconditional love. Although, in the teaser of the next episode him and Eun Joo seem to be working closely so hmmm,, I wonderwhat is that about xD
I personally think that she's not someone who pretends to be bad but is good because she's always been very unapologetic about the kind of person she is- sharp, unrelenting and vicious when it comes to getting what she wants. And I love that about her.
However this is just my own theory and take on things. You definitely have raised a good point and I also think you're on to something with this!
