Ah that's a good and simple system! What about the 5s and the 6s tho? XD
Honestly life would be so much easier if we were all like that. Kudos to you sis <3

omg bahahah, your comment gave me so much life!
Omg girl YAS. Was that book a roller coaster or what? Since, I'm a huge dark thriller lover, I know never to trust the narrator and I predicted that she's the killer in the first few chapters but then the author convinced me otherwise and so when my prediction actually came true, I wasn't even like "Ha! yes I guessed it" cause well D:

What's your favorite book of all time? I so agree about being a rating Nazi when it comes to books. I rarely give anything more than a 3.5 and now, if I don't like the first few chapters and the writing, I just drop instead of sticking with it. Whereas I hate doing the same to dramas so I usually end up even finishing dramas I really don't like. halp

Also, I've been on Goodreads since 2011 too but weirdly, I can't seem to keep my lists updated like in MDL. I've read so many books but never logged them in and now I'm too much of a lazy ass to rectify that.

P.S I tried to stalk you too but girl, you're a mystery

That's so interesting! I love that you rate your dramas according to the school plan. A friend of mine had made…
I wonder what a drama that got a lower score than 5 or 4 should consider itself lucky for? xD

Holy hell. I have the DISEASE, y'all. Quarantine your lists, lock your reviews, save yourselves before you catch…
omg bahahah, your comment gave me so much life! <3

Girl ugh I feel you. I've been on Goodreads since forever too now but surprisingly I'm much more surer of my book ratings than the dramas because like you said, here that one precise decimal number just HAS TO BE RIGHT. xDDD sksksksk

I personally think dramas don't have to be 100%ly logical for you to enjoy them. Of course, the plot should make…
Yeah true that definitely should be the case. If I'm oblivious to the flaws it means the drama must've worked for me and that's what a personal rating should tell .

"Unless it's BOF" XD Deadeded

Thankyou!! Same. I think the easiest rating I can give out is an 8.5. For me the tens and 9s are also really debatable.…
No I haven't! What's the alternate ending? I think initially I felt a little giddy with that little tease too but when I thought about it, it didn't seem too in line with his character y'know? Like he has his girl, his doona, basically his loved ones devastated over him and the police force that he really wanted to join so he would never be able to leave it all and go somewhere else and live with a different identity. Not when he's had to live undercover, hiding his true self almost all of his life. But maybe I'm reading too much into this xD

But you are right, I was actually more or less in peace with the ending too. At least he got his justice and the recognition from the people who mattered to him.

Just Between Lovers: Omg shit, that was exactly what I was thinking. What's with dramas literally taking a 360 turn into another direction just so they could create some emotional impact? I couldn't agree more. But yes, Junho was great here and I really enjoyed the female lead too. Except in the last bits like what was that noble idiocy? "I hurt you too much in the past so I'm going to make up for it by hurting you more" X"D dafaq?

Save Me: I did feel like Save Me's ending was too rushed. I was also just about to smack Taecyon lol and at the end the cult still lived so it felt like then the whole journey to finish it was kind of pointless? But Idk honestly, I enjoyed that drama too much regardless. I actually liked the ending bit with Sang Mi's whacko father too lol

CT: Ugh agree. Honestly, the second half of CT as a whole was just so meh for me.

Btw OMG I ACTUALLY LITERALLY FORGOT THE ENDING X"D

I had to go back and check the synopsis to remember what happened xD Now I'm really wondering about that 8.5 rating I gave it. xD Regardless, the first half was just too good so I guess it's somewhat justified.

This was a fun article to read. I think I went through the stage of newbie rating, but I believe I went back and…
Thanks girl! I get so much where you're coming from. I guess watching dramas when you are a newbie is actually the best experience because you expect nothing and everything is so foreign that you're more effected by all the happenings.

That's so awesome. I'm training myself to develop the same mindset! Ratings don't matter, your own enjoyment does. That should be a motto

I always think that I might to nice, since pretty much every drama I finish get at the lowest, a score of 6...…
Haha I think 6 is a good rating to give a bad drama without being too lenient or too strict but I tend to rate dramas 6 if they had potential but they messed it up in some way.

I totally get you though. Sometimes after I give out a 1 rating, I wonder why did I keep watching it in the first place? But that's a dilemma for another day. :D

Ahh I'm envious. I'm usually sure about my rating too but some of these buggers just keep me thinking back and forth Dx

Lol then I guess I should go through your watchlist and put all the dramas you rated low into 'Never gonna watch this shiz' list xD

Thankyou so much!

Hahah lool it's sad that there are still reviews like that.

Same I personally don't get effected by the shows rating and reviews before watching either except if it has extraordinary hype then my expectations raise a bit.

I think the reason some of us are a little anal about the rating is because we want to find the perfect number to express exactly how we felt about a particular drama and that's when complications arise. XD

Hey there :')You know what they say: when you assume you make an ass of you and me.Infact I always rate my shows…

I tend to give courtesy to every single comment here and reply in detail to avoid misunderstandings but I guess some miserable souls are just not worth it.

Anyway so about disscussing endings:
I actually had mixed feelings for both the dramas.

In Cruel City, he really already had it so tough and for him to just die in an uncelebrated manner like that wasn't too great. Especially, when it seemed like it could be easily avoidable. (Why did he lower his gun?!?!) but at the same time, the drama was dark from the start and I knew that the Doctor's Son was in too deep to get out in a fairytale fashion. I actually thought that the tragedy was a good way to go. I would've just liked it better if they executed it more nicely.

Also, what was that ridiculous moment in the end where they indicate that he could still be alive in a different country? 'Cause no. That just doesn't make sense Dx but I still loved the drama to bits though so I guess, anything is fair game. Plus, I was just happy that he got recognition for all the shit he had to face and all the good things he did so that's something.

As far as Just Between Lovers go, I could've really done without the last few episodes actually. That whole 'liver problem' was so unnecessary. They completely glossed over his PTSD and then just randomly hashed out this whole melodramatic bs. Then on top of it, he gets miraculously cured out of nowhere too. Lmao. So ridiculous. But I still liked the show a lot and was happy that they got a happy ending, just not exactly in the way I would've wanted it to be.

What are your thoughts?

Ah yeah... good old rating-induced anxiety. I sometimes get it and so I created some criteria to stay at least…
Lmaaaaaaao girl I relate so much. Your comment is literally my favorite here.

Omg @ the list updates xD Like you can't even be sneaky because it exposes so good xD. How about you lower a rating and then add dramas to your watchlist like crazy to hide the crime xDDD

Also same with the stars. When I give my list a cursory glance, I'm like why are the stars always so full even though I literally rated all across the scoreboard.

I guess we'd just have to slowly but surely fight this disease from taking over our sanity. XD

Honestly sister I feel you. I try to be as objective as possible but the final rating always depends on my personal enjoyment xD

I don't think I have a base score yet honestly. But 7 and above for me are shows I enjoyed and anything below that were problematic in some way xD

Ah, Lee Jong Suk I actually used to like him too but then I realized that maybe I've forced myself into liking him because of the hype so then I sat back and carefully watched his shows to see how he worked. The problem with LJS with me has always been that he doesn't make me feel. I'm always so detached from his character, it's like I'm staring but seeing nothing.

I still haven't watched Doctor Stranger though, so I plan to reseve judgent a little more.

Yes pleaaase. I really wanted to disscuss those endings with you too so I'll post my thoughts on them in another comment with a spoiler tag. ^~^

Awww girl. Don't worry, if somebody judges you judge them right back xD

Haha jk. But like I said, we all needta realize that these things are just subjective and there's no shame in rating a certain way.

But tbh if it was a feat for me to finish a drama, I'mma rate it low, low, low. XD

Ugh the struggle is real. Have you ever rewatched a drama and not loved the second time around?
