On Nice to Not Meet You Nov 28, 2025
Im glad this drama has 16 episodes even though there are those who prefer that this one had 12 but I just love the pace here. There´s actually a lot going on if you really pay attention and I like that they´re really taking the time with the leads. Its just nice when a drama is not looking to hurry itself because so much of content today including kdramas have unfortunately reduced its length to like 10-12 episodes and it can sometimes feel like the storyline is incomplete or unsatisfied. But this drama feels like dramas before where so much is happening and I get to just take my time knowing I have 8 weeks to enjoy it. I have been very disappointed with the lack of 16-episode dramas this year because its been very very few, the other one I can think of is typhoon family. But that´s what makes kdramas so special because you have one season with often this length. Now I am not saying every drama needs to be 16 episodes like how it often was before but its what made kdramas so special and unique couple with good and engaging storytelling. I also really like how messy our main leads are, like they´re flawed and frustrating but have their own struggles and background too. I just love LJY because she´s such a fantastic actress, such a chameleon as someone mentioned here. Im not crazy about the romantic aspect between her character and LJJ´s but I love their bickering here and these are such seasoned actors which makes me having so much fun watching the show. I don´t really care for the second leads storyline because it doesn´t hold up to our main and its a very typical cliche story in terms of their past together but I think its still unfolding so it could be different that what I expected. But I do very much luv SJH and very happy to see her and also KJH. It would have been great if their storyline was a lot more fun, unique and developed on par with the leads and not having KJH´s character being interested in the FL. But we can never seem to escape love-triangles or ish which is unfortunate because imagine what kind of engaging plot you can have for the second leads independent of the main.

Kang tae ohs overacting of dal is so cringee, I cant wait for this body swap saga to end or at least they figure…
Have to unfortunately agree with that. His understanding of Dal I´s personality is quite off and dare I say too "girly". I don´t see her expressions reflected well from his performance. Sejeong on the other hand is doing a phenomenal job capturing CP. It could be that it is harder to capture her bright and big personality and mannerism without leaning towards exaggerating and avoid it being messy.

Title EXchange Season 4 Spoiler
Thoughts from ep 10:
Both BH and HJ having memes being made out of their crying scenes is so funny to me. JY just nonchalantly walking around with WK´s shirt and JH seeing that💀. If this was just a normal dating show I wouldn´t care even if it didn´t seem like WK was 100% on lending his shirt to JY. However, what makes this so weird watching is that this is a program where there´s exes involved. Evn YN felt like it wasn´t right to keep YS shirt but that was because she didnt have any feelings for YS but I also think maybe lowkey probably thought it would be very inappropriate. And imagine if MK saw that, girl would be crashing out more than she already does and the resentment would just continue to build up.
Guys, you might think im shallow but when HJ was balling her eyes out all I could think about was how great her style looked💀💀💀I needed to lock out from the wailing since it was kinda getting uncomfortable...It´s like I needed the producers to just stop the filming and move on because it was getting a bit too much...

I actually really enjoyed that meaningful convo JH and Jaehyung had in the terrace. In a way they´re both kind of similar in terms of being ambitious and not wanting to settle for a predictable career trajectory. I think it helps that Jaehyung is also really young unlike WK and can afford to explore his dreams without having to worry about being limited by age atp in his life. I know that JH showing growing interest in Jaehyung might be perceived as showing WK that her pride is on the line and vice versa + YS not reciprocating the same feelings towards her but I also would like to hope that now after that convo she has someone else to consider or get to know.

After all this is the point of the show and I do like that most of the people in the house have feelings for different people so its not necessarily overlapping. Like whatever cheekiness that is going on with BH and YN, im here for that.

I wish we saw a girls night scene with the ladies! I also wish we saw more interactions with everyone and not being constantly interrupted by messages because its getting kinda repetitive and preventing them from getting to know each other more.

yeah her acting suc@@
She reminds me of Liu Hao Cun, that Chinese actress if you know about her. She got a lot of crap in Be passionately in love because of her poor acting skills (and another reason) and when you act beside someone like Wang Anyu the contrast is just too obvious.

Man, I wish we had a better actress who played U Hui. That scene with Yi Un where he says “the one who loved you is dead” in latest ep I wished we saw a better emoting of heartbreak and regret from her reaction. Good acting requires good skills but also that flows from the heart and not just in words and especially in historical dramas where this is especially crucial. I do love Suzu’s tone here playing her character which fits with the genre of sageuk but I feel that her facial expressions continues to hold back in the acting lane. I know she’s supposed to be cold here but you can play a conniving and cold character without necessarily being stiff or stern as you would see from other actors in historical dramas where we can always expect some dynamic and nuances.

Sanghyeon really needs to stop being so shy. He should’ve at least tried to interact with Yeong Gyeong. I genuinely…
Exactly. He literally signed up for this show knowing he would have to go on dates and talk to women. If you´re here to find a partner then its not enough to look good and gather confidence before interacting with the ladies but also on the actual dates. Its the respect you should have for the person you´re on a date with. If you want to be perceived in a confident way then you have to go out of your comfort zone and not just avoid eye-contact all throughout the date because thats just not good manners. Hopefully, he stops with his frustrating shyness if he wants to be perceived well but based on the teaser for next ep it seems he continues to lack self-confidence.

Generally in romance dramas I prefer it when the leads have lots of scenes together and we can see them interact…
Since there´s 16 episodes I think they will eventually develop genuine feelings for one another as they see each other more and not just because of those reasons that you mentioned. I kinda like that because with so many dramas lately with 12 episodes the leads immediately see each other and we get so many scenes with them together so it becomes quite predictable. But because here the leads are so different and they´re both kind of immature in their own ways I think it makes sense that it takes time for them to fall in love- kinda like a enemies to lovers trope. I hope that that´s the case so that we can see more scenes of them together.

I guess the love triangle in AHM disappointed quite a lot of people, as they’re fed up with that trope etc
I think the issue was we were hoping for a fresh take on a friendship between two women that wouldn´t give into a love triangle but we were all fooled. I had stupid high expectations but I think that as long as you feature a male love-interest and knowing Kdrama screenwriters tend to do follow each other instead of going out of the box, we´re just going to continue with this mess...

Shin Yeeun is such a fantastic and versatile actress and I only hope she will continue to get more bigger and meaningful projects to show her great acting. She´s grown so much since her A-teen days. Love that her hard work continues to be paid off. It was pretty cool to watch her in these two dramas at the same time.

AHM was quite disappointing but I only pressed on for Yeeun lol

Yes. That ate me up too. They really were good friends during their Cheong Ah days. With how the story unfolded,…
Yeah, exactly. Its the fact that they already had an opinion of her and took a clear stand with YR without knowing the details which is just so odd consider their past friendship. I think that´s why it felt so hard to watch in such an odd and strange way.

That´s such a great point. What happened to the bravery and strength of Yeong Rye who even orchestrated a labor…
Yup, its like the tone of the drama completely shifted post time-skip and contradicted those premises from the beginning.

Felt the same the other way around but I blame it on the writer for reducing the drama into "who do you stan…
Hey, I blame this on the writer for making this into such a divisive drama in the end. I have such soft spot for both and it is not Yeong Rye´s fault for the way the writer wrote Jong Hui´s character. I think the lack of balance between both characters and in terms of the weak writing of Jong Hui´s character arc and just the lack of clarity of what this plot is really about are where the true problems are. I don´t know why but I have felt such strong sense of emotions after watching this drama but have been careful not contribute to the negative and hatred comments we´ve seen here from both sides because the real problem here is the writer lol. But yk to each their own.
