I want SML to like SFL back đ„șThey look so good together!
I kinda hate their interactions right now because it's not like there is some underlying tension or feelings, the 2FL is blackmailing the 2ML to get him to spend time with her while he clearly doesn't even wanna be there and is obsessively thinking about FL instead. They were cute at first but I've lost interest in their romance cause it's not even a romance it's just uncomfortable and sad
I'm glad JH at least said something to HY but he honestly needs to find out the truth soon. I also don't think…
I don't think he will either--but I can totally understand why he is acting how he's been acting when he's getting crazy mixed signals from darim and thinks her husband is a cheating liar and that she's in the hospital from the stress of her marriage falling apart.
I appreciate that besides the two couples having amazing chemistry, they donât forget about the work aspect.…
It's nice that the 2FL is honest, but she ignored him saying he wasn't interested and is still aggressively chasing him and is BLACKMAILING him, threatening to reveal his secret if he doesn't spend time with her. Her character arc went from an ambitious young woman who has zero support but still was trying to create her own art gallery, to her entire personality being her delusional love for the 2ML. It's so cliche and not refreshing to me at all
Tbh, I was skeptical about how the future episodes would turn out after the first two episodes (wc I loved) but…
I actually stopped watching after the first ep cause I was like there is no way they can keep the momentum going but decided to watch after reading more comments on here and I agree on all your points! The writer does a good job of weaving all the romance and angst into scenes that actually move the plot along, so it feels really organic
Am I the only one who dislikes the SML? I get that he didnât act on his feelings because he didnât want to…
Yeah it's bad writing to me--there was zero indication of him being interested in her, and then overnight he's acting like he has some rightful claim to her? And he's taking advantage of her vulnerable position and need for him to be her "husband" so he can push boundaries and be close to her in a way she wouldn't be comfortable with if she actually knew his feelings. 2FL is right, 2ML doesn't love her--that's not what love looks like.
Jihyeok actually loves her. Him turning her away from the 2nd leads kissing didn't benefit him AT ALL, he could have used that to drive a wedge between them and try to get them to divorce but he was only concerned with causing her pain. istg if 2ML was in his place he'd have shown her and used it to try and break them up.
This show would be so much better and funnier if 2ML was legit just a very close protective but misguided friend who was going all in on the ruse to help his childhood friend. Like he is part of a love triangle and doesn't even realize it. 2ML mistakes ML's interest in FL as him suspecting she's faking it and so is aggressively cutesy and forward with his "wife" to help her keep her job, Darim can't tell him to back down because she doesn't want to admit she has feelings for ML, and ML is just as oblivious and sees it all as real. It would be so easy to keep the misunderstanding going and that would be sooo funny to watch play out and we'd still get essentially all the same plot and stories and all the angst from our ML and FL.
And 2ML's hesitation with the 2FL could instead be because of his past trauma with his baby mama who left him, or worries about dating as a single father, that would be so much more interesting. I get soooo tired of the trope 2FL who has no self respect and throws herself at someone who doesn't even like her. Waste of a character it's just a boring and lazy complication.
Also the vibe b/t FL and 2ML was so brother/sister at the beginning, he even casually mentioned that she should get a new boyfriend in the 1st ep and it was a totally platonic vibe, so it's weird that he went from 0-100 for no real reason? I mean they've been friends since they were kids and FL dated that loser guy in the past and that didn't awaken his feelings, so why now?
I am enjoying the show because the ML/FL and side mom characters are great, but both the 2ML and 2FL who started out so good have become cringe and cliche the last couple eps.
Reading everything you wrote was surprising. The female lead is obviously the central figure of the story, and…
idk why all these commenters this are being so aggressive with your fair criticism, because it's actually a literary/storytelling device that is called having a foil. The most compelling stories create tension by having two opposing characters who can "match" eachother on some superior level. Sherlock has Moriarty, Batman has Joker, Lizzy has Darcy, etc etc. People just cannot handle someone having a different opinion about a show, I guess
a person with bon appetit your majesty as their pfp calling a drama overrated
Why are you dragging another drama for no reason? Idk if anyone has told you this but you're allowed to like a drama other people don't like, you can just say "well that's your opinion" and go on watching and enjoying it. You don't have to prove your drama is good by shit talking other dramas
I don't get the point of the body swap, it has absolutely nothing to do with the plot. Other than some superficial hijinks it doesn't help either of them discover anything about the mystery or even really grow as people, and so far it hasn't really done them too much harm, either. They could have done everything they did as their own selves, and that bothers me a lot, feels like super bad writing. I think them acting as each other is funny and it was fun for a bit but after ep 6 the plot has started to drag and suffer because of it and it's hard to be invested in their romance when they're kissing themselves instead of each other, and I don't feel as invested in the show. I hope they swap back ASAP, I actually really just enjoyed the show as a sageuk
I can't understand why the sister hates himLiterally what? I'm not blaming her for anything but if anything she…
I mean she is the product of an affair, her mom died when she was young and the day she came to her new home the stepmom had a mental breakdown and shunned her. It was clear she wasn't wanted and she probably resents her brother for being the golden child who got to have a mother when she didn't. I saw her taking the candy as a way to cope and distract herself from that awful situation. All she has is the father, and has worked hard to prove herself to him, only to have the golden child son strut in and threaten the place she worked hard for. What she's doing is not fair but she had it pretty rough so maybe we need to have compassion for her since she was also a victim in all this. The father is the one to blame for all of their family's issues.
I just binged all the eps OMG this show is so good! I had no idea jang ki yong was so good at comedy! The scene where he finds out she is married with a kid had me laughing so hard I woke up my roommate. And I love ahn eun jin in this role, I usually hate the "too good" poor girl FLs but you feel like she's not a pushover as much as she's just gotten so used to being disappointed by life and all those around her, I love every time she rises to the occasion. And I love shows where the ML falls HARD and FAST while the FL is just going about her life doing her thing. I also feel like they have a lot of facets to the story so the plot won't get stale. So fun and hitting solid emotional beats too. Glad I decided to watch
I thought I was the only one couldnât get past the eyebrows đI canât help but notice them every time he…
He naturally has brown hair but they spray/dye it black for this role (u can see his roots in the outside scene where they do the married couple competition) and he also has more honey colored brown eyes, so he naturally has lighter brows too. I think he'd look weird with darker eyebrows cause it wouldn't match his natural coloring, he's always kept his brows pretty light his whole career.
I wanna watch this but I can't ever tell if JCW dramas are actually good or if it's just fangirls/boys hyping it up cause I know he's got a rabid fanbase.
I'm not a huge fan of Kim So Hyun, kinda could take or leave her, but idk why this pairing feels sooo right? I think they'll have a lot of chemistry. Also I think director Ahn Pan Seok will bring out a new side of Choo Young Woo, who has already shown a ton of promise. APS only works with young actors he respects and sees potential in.
