He was SO good in that show. I've noticed it's a lot harder for an actor to be charismatic and memorable as a happy, sweet male character (versus his brooding/harsh alter ego type) but he was just sooo lovely and charming as Ji Hwan

Not everyone shows their emotions easily, and people cope with their sadness and trauma in different ways. She is someone who uses anger to not have to feel the full weight of her grief and sadness, so it's really easy to see outwardly since it's so big and violent, but he is one of those types that uses toxic positivity and pretends to be doing fine while burying the pain very deep. But if you pay close attention you can see there is deep pain in his eyes at times, and I guarantee you we are going to have many scenes of him breaking completely down once that happy facade is stripped away. Isn't that much more interesting than them both being depressed and unhappy and angry and showing everything they feel all the time? I think so.

People said the same exact thing for a year or two after he made a big splash in Extraordinary You saying he didn't really take advantage of the attention and wasn't in anything really big, and then BAM, AOS blew up and he was an even bigger name. The man can't be in a huge viral hit show every year

The original description from months ago mentioned something like that, I think it was that the two brothers were pretending to be each other and that's when Do Young died, so the FL thought Do Ha died but it was really Do Young that died while pretending to be Do Ha, and then the actual Do Ha felt responsible because of it. Or something similar.

I wanna see Jae Wook move away from romance dramas for a bit, he's amazing in them but he can do so much more, would love to see him in a thriller or crime drama w/o romantic angle

OMg it's almost here! It's been so long since Jae Wook has graced our screens because I refused to watch whatever trash that last show was.

Even if you hated Hong Rang LJW performance was superb so at least it had that going for it lol. He picked so many great projects in a row idk what he's thinking later, i pray this one is better

Writing matters much more than direction IMO. Radio Romance was OK, but not great, so I am also worried, but the writer hasn't done a project in a while so this may be one she has been working on for a long time and perfected? Imma pretend

You should watch Search WWW, he is an absolute puppy in that, but still as charismatic.

How did I not realize my beloved Kim Young Dae was in this until this moment?! I love this for him. they're gonna have really amazing chemistry. So excited to watch now.

He's a supporting lead but please, lord, trust me, him and yoo ah in steal the show. They have a lot of scenes and are a big part of the show.

This drama has made me tear up so often without being super over the top. Every deep moment feels really earned, there is so much humanity in this drama.

It's insanely refreshing to see a drama where you feel like the writer has carefully planned out every interaction, scene, and storyline. The episodes build on each other, with the stakes raising higher and higher in an exciting way, characters motivations are SO clear, characters grow in real ways, none of the characters are perfect. Even the fluffy fun scenes serve some subplot in some way, no time is wasted. Every episode has surprised me, every episode ends with some sort of new revelation or twist that adds to the tension. THIS is how to write a drama.

I also feel like the director does a really amazing job with action scenes esp, doing really cool long takes and framing everything so you can really see what's going on.

This was one of the best historical I've seen up until halfway through. The writer makes a decision that takes away the most interesting character of the show and leaves us with just the ML who is the ultimate Gary Stu, he is super pure and good to the most boring way imaginable. He always chooses the righteous thing, it's so unbelievable and flat. All the built-in tension brought by that other character for the first eight episodes evaporates, and the writer has the annoying habit of introducing some big problem or issue only to solve it in the next scene, so again, we are left with little tension or interest. The love story is bland as well. Watch until episode 8 and pretend that is the end of the drama, and this will be one of the best shows you've ever seen.

It's because the Clown and the King were foils for each other. Once they killed the King there wasn't enough tension in the story, and the Clown's story arc meandered and lost its depth. They should have kept the king in the story and shown him becoming more like the clown and vice versa.

I realized I haven't seen him in a while and see that he hasn't been in a drama in years! But if he needed a break, good for him. He's good enough that he can return when he wants, I feel like he probably still has lots of scripts coming his way that he is turning down. I'd love to see him in another historical soon, no one plays a king quite like him tbh. Maybe more of a tyrant type, he does sooo well in darker roles. And I still have the dream of him and reuniting with Yoojung in a drama as leads! Moon Embracing the Sun was the first drama I ever saw and so Jin Goo was the first ML I ever saw and he really made an impression on me then, he has a really special place in my heart. Hope he rests well and comes back with another amazing performance soon

Girl. You need to go touch some grass. You're obsessing over some dude who has no idea who you are and never will, and whatever he did or didn't do is clearly not a great guy. Go live your life for yourself, you deserve that way more than whatever para-social weirdness this is.
