This Drama is definitely my best wuxia drama of the year. I like the fact that the ml is strong and formidable.
The romance was very straight with strong fl and no misunderstanding and annoying fl.
The fl herself did a great job, she haven't disappoint in all her drama I watched.

She's one among the few actress that act in romance drama flawlessly

Just don't get me wrong, my view has nothing to do with western type. Go watch ancient love poetry which is Xuanhuan and legend of zu 2015 which is xianxia and you will understand. My view of demon is simple.

Demon or god are celestial being and mortal human can't see or precide over them unless possessed with celestial power. Is that hard to understand?

Yes I'm talking about everything. From what you explained, you are talking about super great humans who achieved a certain glorious feets and gets glorified or worship by people. There are many legends like that in history and none of this humans have seen God or demon, they archived their meticulous deeds through human powers and not some sort of godly of demon powers.

But this drama is totally different, this drama is talking about the doctrine of human and celestial being which begs the questions of why would a mare mortal being have the ability to see or subdue demon if not possessed by celestial power??
Why would realm of demon be the same as humans? These is why the theory of men and immortal being in this drama makes no sense.

Yes the same definition of Demon applies in chinese culture too but unfortunately these new writers and directors are changing the theories to sometimes scientifical perspective with morden terms.

Yeah you may as well watch one of these Xuanhuan and xianxia drama I listed above and you will get a clear picture of my whole point or you can just watch the most recent iconic Xuanhuan drama called "Ancient love poetry"

If the wilderness aren't a parallel world of the demons then the sane logic in this drama even get worse.
If the wilderness aren't a separate realm of the demons then the theory of all demon characters here makes no sense because which part of the world do the actual demon lives haha. Was it in Europe, Asia or Africa haha.

Nope, this aren't western standard, this is general standard. Or have you by any chance favored by a demon before lol? As a mortal being have you seen demon or god with your naked eyes hahaha.

Xianxia are indeed fantasy mythological inspired stories, but a fantasy story that contains parallel world of different realms and different celestial beings are Xuanhuan story.

This drama is obviously xianxia and celestial being here aren't well executed. I disagree to any stories that humans have a direct contact or precide over celestial being unless possessed by supernatural power too.

I Understood all you have written, but believe me everything could make more sense if ZYZ was originally born human and then got possessed by demon power then all his struggle for benevolent will be understandable.

Many Cdrama is written that way and that's logically correct. For me I just can't accept a different definition of Demon, God or human.

Also, from logical sense, there is no way humans can see a supernatural being with a mortal eyes talk to more of having the ability to subdue them unless they got possessed by celestial being too.

Example of such xianxia drama that defines my point very well are.
Legend of 2015 or Noble aspirations. These are all xianxia dramas that doesn't contradict with Xuanhuan

Sorry if my definition makes anyone uncomfortable, but I watch dramas from logical sense. Which is why i gave example earlier about what I accepted as logical fantasy Xuanhuan dramas which includes: Ash of love, ten thousand miles of peach blossom, three lives three world or eternal love. The parallel world of different realms was well executed.

Notice that in these dramas, all living beings of different creatures were well defined and aren't contradicted.

In summary, these drama couldn't differentiate the difference between xianxia and Xuanhuan drama, and the differences between mortal and celestial being.

Maybe I have different taste but I watch dramas from real life perspective and logics. I don't approve any ability that is beyond human in real life. More so a demon character should be portrayed as demon, God as God and human as human.

But remember no one force him to become a sacrificial lamb for someone else while neglecting his own safety. It just yet another Cdrama with this boring trope.. Hero that save the world lol. I'm tired if such trope because non of you here in real life can sacrifice for the whole world lol. I approve of a benevolence character but not at the cost of himself or someone else. What makes it even funny is that ZYZ is a demon character and not even a Devine God, so in this case I expect him to be absolutely gray character or do chinese have a different definition of demon?

And also since this is xianxia fantasy drama as you explained above, my point was that mortal abilities in subduction of demon were over used. At least it could make more sense if any mortal who has the ability to subdue a supernatural being is possed by a supernatural being like God, for example, in the case of the fl who has the power possession of God is understandable, but what about the 2nd fl peisijing? How can she a mare mortal subdue a supernatural being with a Bow lol? And the other entire bureau of demon hunt. But even mortal with a supernatural weapon shouldn't have that much abilities to subdue demon unless they are possed by god.

Yes i like when the possibilities are in the same category while the impossibilities are in the same category. Just like in real life, there is no way a mortal can command the gods and demons. But yes I know is a drama and the impossibilities can be possible. But our quest for impossibilities can also be achieved without mixing up and contradicting all the drama categories like wuxia, xianxia and Xuanhuan at same pace. For example the drama: "Three lives three world" has all the drama categories but they are all well put while achieving real life impossibilities. The gods, the demons and mortals was never contradicted and their limits and abilities are well implemented that it will make you feel like you are experiencing life after death.
