Eagle and phoenix are symbolized as noble and good luck, the phoenix is a bird of fire that reborns and cleanse the bad and bring fortune. Theres a saying in Chinese culture called 万物有灵论 I think its animism in English thats the belief that all creature wether plants or animal on earth have emotion/ feelings rooted from their soul. Bro I just notice another major plot hole. Gu Jin’s sword is link to the owner’s emotion, we saw this when the peacock was flirting with Gu Jin, the sword sense Gu Jin’s repulse so it got between them so technically the sword would have stop as soon as Gu Jin heard, maybe even sooner then he realized if you get what i mean. Doesn’t make sense. Especially since his emotions were so strong and his powers were already awoken, theres no reason for him not to have been able to control it.

I think I saw someone say the peacock will brag to the phoenix feng yin that no one saw you expect me and you died that day so no one will believe you and Gu Jin overheard so he figure everything out.
