Mostly the 180° personality switch from those who had no mercy before. And the audacity of Ming’s dad to pull…
Exactly. I don’t think it’s a series I’ll watch again because of the ending.

It was fun. But the last scene spoiled it for me so much. Why do they have to suggest something in a laughable…
I know. Bro had an allergy attack because no way was that scene believable as an NC scene. All that wasted time doing this redemption arc for Tong and Ming’s toxic parents could have been spent on this nc scene and giving us a little more of Mike and Secretary Jim.

“The nc scenes that weren’t” describes this series. I was entertained, but for KinnPorche fans, the expectation was higher for some real hot nc scenes plus more karma for the bad guys after the announcement of the writer/director. Oh well.

Title My Stand-In: Uncut Spoiler
Episode 12 was full of WTF moments for me…
Mostly the 180° personality switch from those who had no mercy before. And the audacity of Ming’s dad to pull out a gun and threaten Joe’s life then tell him to promise not to disappear from Ming’s life again is crazy af. Bro stepped in front of a bullet for your son! Ming’s mom was malicious but suddenly they’re all friendly and eating and drinking together? And Tong? He needed the karma he deserved. Wiuld have been WAY more satisfying if he was left to the loan shark after the entertainment industry turned its back on him. AND have his wife find someone new. But everyone just let’s all that toxicity go. Even how Joe’s mom just sits there without anger… woman! That fam did your son so damn dirty. As a mom, I would never let the idea of my kid being mad at me keep me from their bedside after they almost died…ESPECIALLY a second time!

And that “nc” ending? I forgive the NC scenes not being near the level of KinnPorche despite the writer and director, but this last one was unnecessary. Just leave it at kissing.

This series started to lose its luster a few episodes back. But I did enjoy it. I really want to see Mine and Secretary Jim get some more screen time because I think they’d light it up.

I kinda get where he’s coming from. I can see both sides. I think YJ is the type to not hide his feelings easily,…
who is this directed to?

The unresolved issues between YJ and MK… That was hella intense. Feels like MK had some serious feelings towards…
I can’t see any of them as red flags. I know editing is being done so we feel one way or another. Drama sells and all that.

I agree. It takes two in every relationship. And YJ also said he left because he wasn’t hearing the answer he “wanted.” He was getting an answer, just not one that resolved it in the way he could sit with. It kind of feels like both could still be a smidgen interested in each other, otherwise they wouldn’t be so affected by each other. It’s a thin like and all that. I think most people would feel like that about their ex, though, when it comes to sleeping. I think YJ meant it as he doesn’t get to sleep with Hanmin anymore so he doesn’t want them together either. I think it’s more on what he doesn’t get than actually seeing MK and Minseon together- because they had suggested the bed partner switch the night before anyway.

I am loving this season this is how a dating show should be because of this we are getting to know the real nature…
I think MKs actions pushed him farther than his personality can handle. YJ is a planner and thinker. MK is more reserved. If you recall, YJ said that was one main reason he gave up in the past with MK. And MK is still not being open about how he feels with YJ. maybes and yeahs and okays and do whatever. Too flippant for his passive aggressive actions/comments. He was clearly hurt by being ghosted by YJ. YJ was clearly turned off by his reserved approach to their relationship. Both need to talk away from the house and calmly. I’m sure they can resolve it cleanly once they’ve calmed down.

Goddamn...yj is a red flag to the extreme
I kinda get where he’s coming from. I can see both sides. I think YJ is the type to not hide his feelings easily, especially in this environment. MK is the opposite. Both were impacted by their past together in different ways. I don’t think either are red flags. I think it’s as Hanmin discerned and shared with Minseon and SM. That all the feelings of stress and frustration are boiling over. I’m hopeful that the trailer for the next episodes will show YJ and MK resolving this tension after the events of episode 8 have sat overnight. YJ is otherwise a carefree and happy sort, from what we’ve seen.

Title His Man Season 3 Spoiler
After Episode 8…wow.
The unresolved issues between YJ and MK… That was hella intense. Feels like MK had some serious feelings towards YJ. But then YJ said if MK still likes him, he’d consider it?! WHAT?! I had to pause for a while because my brain. I honestly think that if they resolve their issues, they could end up together. I’m kind of impressed with Hanmin and Minseon for not losing interest after the intense chats and discussion. I don’t think YJ is wrong in feeling attacked and targeted by MK because he really did say all those passive aggressive things. I’m sure it’s because of how things ended and his possible lingering feelings. I get the vibe based on how often he contacted and stayed connected to YJ even when it was one sided, plus how he always seems to put himself near YJ (based on editing) that those feelings haven’t left yet. Yet I can see how he is taken aback by YJ’s confrontational attitude. He’s definitely trying to keep his heart closer to his chest after how things went with YJ in the past. I don’t think either are red flags. That’s to simple for a relationship between two people we see edited snippets of.

in the end, I really hope the two of them settled it nicely with the few days they had left.

As far as SM ans Hwi, I think SM is doing what the show is for and keeping his options open and feeling out his interests. Hwi is young and not as discerning I think. Jaeseung is cautious but still interested in SM. I caught how he said “was” Hwi when asked who his other interest is. Seungjin is misunderstanding because of how Jaeseung didn’t want SM to be burdened so he threw a number out. I don’t think Jaeseung is interested in Hwi at all anymore. They’re just rivals now. Kinda sad, tbh.

And, of course, my #1 Seungjin being forgotten through all of it. No one even considers him really, though he’s there for others. No one joins his chat. No one calls. No one wants to date him. None of the others are able to see his value. I fervently wish the director had casted more open-minded people who would be romantically drawn to Seungjin. He deserves love.

I like this show but I don't like it THAT much as you guys do. I need someone to walk me trough some deeper analysis…
No worries. I think for the most part this is the main thorn/issue that drives much of the story. Amagi is super cute and Takara is sprung on him. But Amagi was abandoned as a child so he’s got a lot of issues to overcome. The character growth for Takara isn’t that high. He’s crazy patient and so cute in his lowkey reactions to Amagi’s.

For me it’s the dialogue and over the top reactions from Amagi. Also, the issues he has with believing that someone truly likes him because of his broken relationship with his parents and his childhood experiences touch my heart because he’s trying but keeps twisting himself into knots. It’s lighthearted but also touched on the psychological struggles a teen may go through after being pretty much abandoned by his parents and left with grandparents. There are a couple J-BLs or so that touch on this parent abandonment issue in different ways.

There’s another?!
I feel like Ryoto is headed to that role. Especially if he doesn’t see Gensei in a romantic way Usak may be as well, mostly because of his demanding lifestyle- that may be a deterrent

I’m so curious to see who Kazuto is interested in frfr. I’m firmly on the DaiShun boat but I am glancing at…
So true
