Probably the most disappointing romcom (edit: romance drama, there is no comedy) I’ve ever seen. Not sure what the writer did with this one, it had SO MUCH potential but the development made no sense. Oh and one male character is a literal villain (rapist and serial cheater) but is treated like a good guy. Imo this ruined the entire drama because you can’t empathize with a character like this and as a result you don't like the others who support/love him. Other than that : loved the directing, the natural acting of the FL (a rarity in Jdramas imo) and the cute romance between Rika and Kanchi in the first half. Maybe they should have made it more 21th century friendly?

[ENG SUB!] I tried to sub for the first time, so it takes me much more time I expected. Don't mind to correct…
You're literally an angel! <3 I really enjoyed the drama, it was super sweet! Thank you!

Parasite will always be one of a kind, but you don't seriously expect its actors to always star in oscar-worthy…
Of course Korean dramas will never be Oscar-worthy but there are actors who have stopped starring in average dramas once they became recognized with a very good movie. But I do like that she remains humble and still accepts normal dramas. I don’t find this one particularly unique but I admit I rarely find K-dramas unique.

This should have a horror tag and maybe a "pornography" tag (I guess that's what "extreme sexual content" means). I didn't think the (sexual) torture would last that long. It's very graphic, not for everyone.
I won't rate it because it's not my type of movie so I can't judge properly but it's a low-budget movie so don't expect anything great...

Is there another Asian gay-themed movie as good as this one? This one has everything, directing, plot, characters, and acting-wise. I'm SO glad Park Sung Woong accepted the role (and I really respect him for that) because the acting of a talented veteran actor really saves a movie or drama. I find that most Asian gay movies and dramas are generally ruined by either the mediocre acting of the third-rate actors or the bad directing because of a low budget.

Instead of uselessly spending all their money on those mediocre and lengthy rom-coms that get shitty viewer ratings, maybe Korean producers should consider hiring better writers and casting actual actors (instead of idols and failed models), so we can get proper romance dramas like this one again.

I can't believe I really enjoyed this drama when it was first released (I often listen to the OST) but am only now fully realizing that the male lead was a high school student??? Wow, I was really young back then lol!
Korean drama producers really didn't give a **** before 2015, they did these controversial age gap stories and people barely cared? Imagine the outrage if they did this nowadays lmao.

I don't find this drama more boring than your average kdrama lol, not sure why so many people find it bad. I just watched a bit for Ji Soo.
I gotta say, though, I'm sad both my favorite young actors (Ji Soo and Seo Ji Hoon) have picked dramas I really can't enjoy (this one and To All The Guys).

Sad... Not sure how I should rate this though. The male lead's acting was not really good, so I found it hard to actually feel for his character. Some scenes were a bit exaggerated and cringy. The whole thing was a bit awkward too; are these 30+ years old actors supposed to be high school students lmao???

I know this is a manga adaptation but they should have made a movie instead. I wanted to like iit because I like twisted stories like this, but it was too slow, I didn't really like any of the characters and I cringed too much because everybody kissed all the time for no reason lol. The acting wasn't bad though.

A waste of excellent actors and a waste of a good plot. This could have been done so much better but the director just HAD to go the pretentious route.

I had dropped the drama when it first came out because I found it boring... Just watched it again two years later and??? Why did I even drop it, it’s so good! I loved all the characters and I really identified with Akira.
I do think Hijiri’s character was lacking something: it’s normal for a teenager to fall in love easily but it doesn’t really make sense for a normal adult to fall for a teenager so easily. Maybe she should have had a backstory or something? Still liked her though.

I'd like to watch this because of Ji Soo but the comments are making me hesitate lol
I'm watching for Ji Soo and this role really suits him! But yeah, he's like the only good thing in the drama lol. But who knows, maybe you could enjoy the drama? I say give it a try, Ji Soo deserves it lol!

Fast forwarded the 8th episode and I'm finally dropping the drama. I don't see the need for this ridiculous love triangle and I like NONE of the characters (which is a first for me). The worst: this drama's comedy is WHACK, it feels like one of those cringy Korean sitcoms with 50/100+ episodes, same old tired childish Kdrama jokes.
I feel bad for SJH but I really can't watch this anymore. I'll just watch his cuts on KBS's youtube channel lmfao

This is one of my favorite dramas. The comedy and the supporting characters definitely are the main reason why I love it. It was the time when Korean cable channels gave us "different" romantic comedies. The directing and filming are much better than most dramas, and the dialogues are quick (there aren't 10 seconds of unnecessary silence and awkward acting between each character's lines lol)

I think you will only enjoy this show if you don't take it too seriously and if you don't expect a dramatic and too typical Korean romance. You also can't be annoyed by the main actress obviously, lol. Her acting is... well, exaggerated, to say the least. I was lucky enough to not be bothered by it and I even found it funny and more natural than your average Korean comedy drama.

I'm fairly sure the atmosphere on set was good and relaxed because the acting in this drama never seems forced, by any actor. Seo In Guk is the best in comedies; loved him in Reply 1997 too. As for Lee Soo Hyuk, it's the first time I think he doesn't seem awkward; he was probably comfortable and this role suits him well! All the other actors seemed comfortable too.

About the plot and the romance:
- The love triangle is hard to believe at first because she's a dork lol, but then you kind of understand the 3 characters' loneliness and it can make sense I guess (literally every K-drama love triangle is unbelievable anyway). The romance scenes are all funny and cute, so I enjoyed it.
- I didn't care for the age gap and I think the comedy and the "suspense" wouldn't have been the same if he was a uni student.
- The whole thing about his brother is useless but I guess it was necessary to create this story lol. I didn't care for it much and you shouldn't watch this drama if you think this will be an important part of the plot.
