I love this movie but it's def overrated, like most violent Korean movies in which a shit ton of scenes are only there for shock value (and maybe, sometimes, because the director is a sadist himself? idk)
I don't understand this rating. It's a masterpiece itself, deserved 9-10 easily! I think that some ratings are…
It was definitely rated badly by the people who didn't watch it or dropped it because of the type of couple (age gap + adultery). My mother hated the drama (she hates older women/younger men stories) but she still says it's a 10 because that's the best directing and acting she'd ever seen in a Kdrama. Lmao I'm so mad my fellow Yoo Ah In's younger fangirls ruined the ratings :'(
That was a really depressing movie with unlovable characters (both main and supporting). I have seen other depressing movies with shitty characters but this one was special because I somehow felt bad for the (horrible) main girl.
Aww Kang Sora dropped and she's replaced by the one actress whose acting I never liked... Will still try to watch it though because I like this type of story.
I found this movie very scary. One of the creepiest I've seen. I'm scared easily though, even after all the horror…
Charlotte's last scenes (with Ji-Hyun and then that naked guy) were so scary, the tension and the silence killed me. My sister and I did laugh at Ji-Hyun's possession though, it was both scary and funny/ridiculous
Nice movie, especially if the possession theme scares you (one of my friends believes in god/the devil/exorcism/etc and she was scared as hell). It's the type of horror theme I find the least scary (most of the time I just laugh tbh) and I didn't like the acting but I'm a fan of found-footage style and I do like curses so I was able to enjoy it a little. No useless jump scares too, thank you director. The length of the movie didn't bother me and imo it was important to build up the right atmosphere.
I found this movie very scary. One of the creepiest I've seen. I'm scared easily though, even after all the horror movies I've watched. After watching it I was recommended other scarier movies but I had already seen them and found them laughable (like Noroi: The curse). Dark closed spaces + forest at night + found-footage style + ghosts must be a combo that scares the hell out of me I guess. I recommend watching it alone at night of course :)
I barely watch J-dramas because the acting often sucks and they have all those moral lessons moments that I can’t stand. But this one has none of that and the actors are good.
Also I’m sure I’m not the only one (no one will dare say it lol) but I don’t hate the female lead? I know cheating is bad but I can understand the fact she’s attracted to the first guy she’s ever loved and who’s been her obsession for years. Marriage can’t stop feelings.
I actually like all the characters except for... Arishima?!! Man, he’s so evil. He doesn’t even like Mitsu, it’s pure lust for him, he’s taking advantage of her feelings and is the one who first brought her to hotel rooms (without even asking) he has a BABY jfc.
As for the ending, I’m glad Ryota divorced Mitsu because obviously she never really loved him and only married him because she thought she could never find her first love and should start a new life. But I really hate the fact the worst character faces no consequences.
Yeah I agree but it still pisses me off, I understand his pain, it's just that I don't like lonely sad kids who disrespect their parents for attention and the guy's acting.
In the animal kingdom it is almost always the man who is the most beautiful, (Peacocks, dogs, lions and many type…
This is kind of true. I've read a paper recently, saying that humans are the only species where it's the females' role to "advertise" themselves. But since we're humans, it's only cultural and cultures change all the time, so there's no such thing as "sane people want this, sane people want that".
Still wondering why Tanokura likes Hanae. Anyone that reads the manga know?
I hope both guys do have their reasons for liking Hanae, since Hanae has her own reasons for Yuuto and I understand them. I hope it's not another "let's just do a story where the hot and cool guys all fall for the plain girl" drama. The drama's quality will depend on this.
Some of them can look sooo freaking young! Here are some other significant off-screens age gaps different from the characters' (supposed) ages:
- 7th Grade Civil Servant (10 years)
- Hi! School Love On (all play high school students but boys born 1991 and girl 2000)
- Adolescence medley (both play high school student but boy born 1997 and girl 1992)
- Missing You (Yoo Seung Ho was only 19 years old, so 9 years apart with YEH)
- Me too, Flower (8 years)
- Obsessed (movie) (14 years)
I was expecting a mediocre rom-com but it's actually really good
Same here, I expected Ayase Haruka as the typical annoying "modern woman" writers love so much or the totally outcast "otaku" type, but she is lovable and down to earth (for the moment) and it's convincing. Though, after watching ep2 and preview of ep3, I'm not sure I love the direction it's taking.
Lol yeah the poster is misleading, if I had not read the synopsis and the genre, I would probably not have watched it since I like none of the actors/actresses. But now I watched the first ep, there is no way I won't watch the rest!
At the end of the movie, when you're in tears and devastated after 2 hours of suspense and nightmare, they make you listen to that scumbag's voice. And your sadness transforms into anger/frustration/hate when you learn he's never been and will never be arrested.
There is no way I'd say "this movie is bad": it was real events, why would I judge if a ruined family's story was entertaining enough or not?
