Here,FL stands for the decision she made despite many hardships and protects him,while,ML,though suspicious of her identity,still trusts her and listens to her.These things were beautifully portrayed.Trust and support is what a relationship basically requires.

Definitely as you said "depth in relationships"is what been missing in some of the dramas nowadays,not even to mention the word*artistic"
And also there should be either a powerful,inspiring or a meaningful message that really needs to be conveyed to the audience.

Because slow burn love is always based on one's personality and attitude rather than hasty love where imho one doesn't get a full understanding of the other.
But sadly these kind of dramas have either remained as underrated gems nor do not gather much attention.People feel them to be long boring talks while in real life we claim clarity in everything.

Yes and the bond between the main couple has been developed slowly over a course of time through observations of attitudes and characters,facing life and death situations together and undeterring trust.
These kind of dramas really convey a simple yet powerful message of life.
But I seriously don't understand why slow burn romance dramas are not appreciated by a larger section of audience.

Rarely in xianxia dramas,we see the inner emotions and thoughts of the characters being portrayed.And this is one of them imo

Yeah truly.I still wonder why people couldnt understand this drama.Some say it is slow,some say it is boring.But for me this has been the best xianxia drama without any reincarnation or rebirths.

An underlying subtle romantic track but not one that can be counted as mainstream.
Romance takes a backseat.
It is full of schems, twists,turns and politics .

Intriguing drama!!The plot is very good.The whole drama manages to keep you engaged till the end with good number of twists and turns.Liu Shishi and Shawn Dou were excellent in their roles.Overall an excellent series with good pace!!
