Yes, why would he voluntarily send her out when he just wants to stay with MTH!! My guess is either of these reasons:

1. He's the master of the sect STX is, and, may or may not he know that STX is bringing them antidote (could be because STX doesn't know her master's identity? but he knows ofc?), so he wanted to confront or talk to her.
2. He's suspicious of her that how did she suddenly obtain a cure right on time and wants to bait her into telling the truth.
