This is a high quality production from iQiyi.Its pretty enjoyable story about two bitter gourds healing each other.The costumes and props are exquisite.Of course both the leads are highly seasoned actors.Lan bo is as good as ever in his ancient attire.I am not used to seeing this FL in pitiful roles but she did a decent job here.She is oppressed but resilient and fights back with wisdom.It mainly focuses on the romantic development of the leads.The plot is not outstanding but reasonable without any twists or turns.Overall,Highly recommended.
Ancient version of the Prince of Beijing circle script.So the plot is nothing new but the leads are both stunning and Shen Hao Nan's styling is pretty good in this one. Much better than their first collaboration.The FL actually kissed in this drama.I have never seen her really kiss in any of her past dramas.And there are quite a number of kisses about 15 or so , definitely an upgrade from her fake kissing.The performances are decent and the visual quality is excellent.Overall,worth a watch. This came out on YouTube the day of release but I only saw this on one channel and it was deleted within minutes.There doesn't seem to be any links as of now.
Ancient version of Crimson too deep or that script in general but much better with three dimensional characters.Even the 2ML is not your typical jerk neither are the leads purely good characters. Lan bo and Han yutong have also filmed a version and I am hoping it could even surpass this already great version.

It's not all bad of course.The push and pull between the leads is enjoyable to watch and there many good kisses.Its just that I had high hopes for this pairing after watching their first collaboration but the endless verbal attacks just gave me a headache and knowing that these vertical dramas rarely come up with a second season left me with a bad taste when I completed it.So to hope for a second season is just a dead end.

Kind of.But there is no plot progression at all so it's just incomplete.There is a verbal argument going on ,the ML suddenly comes and carries the FL away by force and it abruptly ends.Its supposed to be a revenge drama but no one has been punished and nothing is resolved.There are numerous pointless arguments which do not drive the plot at all and ML forcing kisses on the FL every now and then.Even after three hours of kissing,there's no actual emotional development between the leads.If there is no second season,then there's no point in watching. Of course, if you don't really care about plot but just want to watch the leads you can give it a look.

The best of the four versions so far.The plot is complete and the leads have excellent chemistry and acting skills.This version perfectly potrays the emotional development of the leads.Except for the secondary characters causing a bit of trouble in the early stages,it is a very high quality drama.Worth watching multiple times!
