The abuse is indeed excessive.The actors of this version with the plot of the 1st version would be a better drama as Cheng Cheng/Huang Yun Yun look more visually pleasing than the leads in the 1st version and actually have great chemistry.

Both the leads are exceptional and did what they were supposed to do.Its definitely due to the writers that their efforts got wasted.They could have easily replaced those countless verbal attacks with something substantial.Zhao Zhendong barely saves the show.
