So there are bits of facts here and there. I sincerely hope they continue to keep it light. If you want to watch a more factual based drama of yi san’s life, you can watch it on dramacool, it is intense and has 70+ episodes so be prepared!! Oh and just so you know it is more political based than romance but the romance is really endearing.

He is definitely the villain here, I don’t think he has feelings for her more like he feels threatened by her. He is concerned that she would be more important to the cp than he is. In the original drama which is more factual, the tutor’s sister was a concubine and that didn’t last long. This drama is said to be less factual with events although slightly based on the life of yi san. ( it says so in the opening credits) so I think much of it is based on romance and probably fiction.
