No the cp does not have a wife yet. You might be confusing it with the other yi san drama where he did have a wife but not this one. Deok ro’s sister can only be a concubine. They don’t have the kind of noble power that is needed for her to be queen.
Remember the conversation he had with his mother while he didn’t know Deok im was there.
His only kinda influence he has is that of a crown Prince playmate then tutor, that’s it.

I agree 💯. This has a mature content. Not your run of the mill boy loves girl idol drama type. Fl is 40, she built her career from scratch so of course she won’t be willing to go into a relationship that could ruin everything unless she is sure she could handle any fall out. This is grown folks stuff!
I am enjoying it very much not only for the relationship but also how she deals with her work.

I’m curious, is Deok Im the same as person portrayed as sung song ye on in the old drama detailing the reign of yi san. I think only the beginning is not the same as song yeon and yi san met as childhood friends just before the death of crown Prince sado. I wonder in history what name she is, everything else with their story is the same.

You said it SMLis like a brother to her, she has no feelings towards him and that’s ok. Did you notice how she is with the other guy, even though he is childish and silly, she is herself with him, no pressure at all. Also SML IMO is manipulative, in order to make her stay he tried to convince her they were only friends and he understood, that was a lie just to get her to work in the same company. The other guy makes her laugh, listens to her and what makes her sad and what achievements she wants for life without telling her what do and how to do it.
I prefer him to the SML. She is more of a street food kinda girl instead of high class restaurants.
