This article sums up what I had in 2023. 😄 Last year I suffered from severe drama slump for a couple months. Some short dramas helped me get back on track. Those were Mental Tsuyome Bijo Shirakawa-san, Koi to Dangan, Tokyo Airport, 49 Days With a Merman and To The Moon and Back. Oh No! Here Comes Trouble was also a good one.
Oh my gosh... I didn't know it was you! What happened to Moonchild??? You changed names and pfp.
Yeah, someone here used the exact same name and I didn't feel comfortable with that for a reason. My profile picture changed a while ago, but I thought about changing it back. :)
1. 18 dramas completed; 26 dropped2. Korea exclusively3. Drama, mystery, thriller4. Not listed5. Kidnapping Day…
I feel the same way about the violence. I feel like the aim is to show the most disturbing, graphic ways to torture or kill someone. The entire hype about Squid Game for example scared me, because apparently some students found this "cool" and started acting it out in schools in real life minus the death penalty (instead they went for beating the "loser" up). How messed up must someone's thinking be, to like how people "play" against each other in a death game? I only watched one movie that had a death game theme and that was enough to make me stay away from anything else like this.
So happy to see you back with a new article, dear. 🤗
1. How many 2023-release dramas did you watch? Only 5, I tried to clear my PTW list from dramas of previous years 😅
2. What country did you watch the most in 2023? South Korea 🇰🇷
3. What genre(s) do you usually watch? My Top 3 are: 1. Comedy 😂 2. Drama 😮 3. Romance 💗
4. What is your top drama listed in this article? My personal top is not listed in the article. In the article my Top drama is Oh No! Here Comes Trouble. I still need to watch Moving, Hidden Love, I Fell You Linger In the Air Uncut and others 👻
5. What is your top drama NOT listed in this article? My top drama last year was The First Responders Season 1 & 2, it was really well made, with lots of action, humor and great characters and a catchy OST. Another top was my first lakorn To The Moon and Back. I loved it. 🚑 🌙
6. How was your drama journey in 2023? Quite good. I haven't watched many titles of the year but I look forward to watch them. I have high expectations for most of them. 😁
7. What is your wish or plan in dramaland in 2024? My plan: I'm looking forward to the movie "Ikoku Nikki" with Aragaki Yui and the drama "Perfect Propose". When they get eng subs in 2024 I'll watch them. ^.^ My wish: I hope that the dramas Queen Woo, The Legend of Jewelry and The Miracle will air this year. 😍 The ultimate wish would be that China stops the ban on BL adaptions and produces them again, like they did in the era of The Untamed and Word of Honor. I know who am I kidding but I can still dream, right? 😝

I feel you. I never got to watch Hotel del Luna, it's been sitting on my PTW list since its release and last year I gave up and removed it from my list. I was always interested to watch it but somehow I never ended up actually watching it. Maybe someday. xD

I still consider Luo Fusheng as one of my favorite characters too. My most loved characters by Yilong are Shen Wei, because that was my first and Wu Xie because he was my favorite Wu Xie as well.
My recommendations are: - Do Hwan in It's Okay to Be Sensitive (If I remember correctly he was very understanding and considerate of the FL) - Kurosawa Yuichi in Cherry Magic (the drama) (he's kind and considerate) - Kim Do Yoon in Birthcare Center (he's not perfect, but that makes him even better) - Han Shuo in The Romance of Tiger and Rose (the kind of partner a strong female lead needs) - Lan Wang Ji in The Untamed (he stands to his man, no matter what others say and lets him be even when he doesn't share the same opinion) - "Pennueng" Purim in To the Moon and Back (protective in the right way)
One more recommendation that I watched recently: Tsuiraku JK to Haijin Kyoshi. ^^
