Watching alot of donghua as well. Alot to catch up on. Perfect world, Swallow Star, a Wills Eternal, Renegade Immortal, Big Brother, World of Immortals, Battle Through The Heavens, Soul Land 2, Throne of Seal, Demon Hunter.
The only thingy I dislike is the action scenes r too slow pace like the wire work camera movement etc. Beside that i like this new cast as well.
And they need the dubbers from donghua and say their techniques Thats what made it iconic.and the flower n ghost guy just acts normal they dont play their parts that well.
People r rating n dropping it bc probably fans from previous series didn't like the change in cast. But this cast is actually better just wished they had the director from blood of youth and dashing youth make this instead. So far its pretth good follow donghua but action n cgi kinda looks oudated. Still better then battle through the heavens season 2.

I dont think so just slimming probably losing baby fat n i heard he also got hurt filming this series. Like how people try saying stuff about zhao lusi.

No. Hero is back is based off donghua Rakasha Street. There was old live action with Jiro Wang i believe.
Land of Warrior's is live action Soul Land donghua or Douluo Continent with Xiao Zhan but with new cast . It takes place right after and hopefully follows the donghua more and have better fight scenes.

This looks good so far after ep 1. Like both main leada and the cinematography. Snow actually fall on their heads clothes weapons etc.

Its pretty good reminds me of older wuxia series. Slow pace romance but alot of interesting characters.

You probablu wont be lost but it helps since the first one establish alot of the characters background story abilities etc.
