The story fell flat because they made everything about Baili Dongjun, so many layers to Ye dingzhi character but not enough screen time, they made the strong female lead in the beginning to become a powerless sidekick to him, in “the blood of youth” the story somehow revolved around the 3 main leads even if it was mostly about Xiao se, but here everyone is a sidekick to Dongjun’s growth

If they’re carrying the show as you claim their characters daily ratings should be higher than the main leads, but guess what they’re not, and if you paid any attention to the drama when it started airing, you would see that they’re scheduled appearance/commentary everyday since it started airing

Be for real, the ML X FL, still has full control over the show, and the emperor and princess scenes are so irritating that I now prefer seeing Xia jingshi over them
