Idol worship is on another level over there. Love and hate are two sides of the same coin. But Korea is known as the suicide capital of the world at this point. And thats partially because of the way they decide to treat those labeled as damaged or outcast. If you're getting picked on you're expected to just deal with it. They dont even offer school counselors. No one seems to treat the bully as a sinner. Parents gang up to cover for their abusive children who act the same way as them. So instead the lonely victim gets blamed and shamed for being too weak to stand up to them. Or leaving themselves vulnerable to attack. Sulli is a famous girl that this happened to. But this kind of thing happens to the average kids in school too. Apparently they even had to pass a law to cut back on bullying in the workplace as well. So maybe its a culture clash with the old conservative society and maybe its just an ingrain sort of classism. But its definitely not just the stars that experience this sort of mob like shaming. RIP Sulli. I hope your death really made a difference in the lives of those suffering from the same kind of fate.

I was loving this drama until they started focusing on the psychotically jealous women. Seems like thats the main conflict for the second half of the show. And the ml became less attractive with every move the writers made to entangle him with other women. I might have to skip to the end too at this point.

Is this a remake of prince of wolf? That show turned into a melodramatic mess half way thru. Looks like this one does too. Someone should tell these writers that its not entertaining when they turn a sweet romance into a marathon of pain, manipulation, betrayal and rejection.

Im on ep 27 and the insane female bff love triangle is ruining the entertainment value of this for me big time. Its an over used plot device in china, makes me wanna drop this drama. This was supposed to be a magical medical love story. Now it feels like a melodramatic lakorn. She probably wont have to pay for what shes done, or get out of the way until the last minute of the last episode.

No one cares if he was punished for being in breach of contract. The point is that the asian entertainment Industries view of what is dirty is extremely conservative. The rest of the world would laugh this off right along with me. If there really is a sex tape out there of him that would be different. But theres not. Make out sessions dont count..
He is still working obviously. Just saw him in go go squid. This outcry was mostly about those heart broken little girls who want their idols to live like monks. Its not that I dont understand. I just find the criticism and worship of young celebs over there to be even more extreme than it is here in the west. But I guess he could always move to hollywood some day instead if they cant get over it.

This drama was hilarious. Short but sweet too. Think the best part was when the robotic ML suddenly popped up onstage to do a badass performance with a kpop group. Fl just stood there with frozen with disbelief.lol

I dont think it took a big leap in logic to assume what they did in this drama. And writers for shows like this love to complicate plots with miscommunications. Its to be expected tbh. The only thing that didn't really make sense to me at first was the MLs reaction to a one night stand. But then I realized it was because of his ma. So all in all I thought it was pretty good. Sexy and funny. Even you enjoyed it.lol

Thats probably one of the sexiest korean dramas Ive ever seen. I loved it. And it managed to be light hearted and funny too!

Maybe so. But a short breakup isn't usually how it goes in cdrama land. Even the rom coms have been turning into lakorns halfway through lately.

Of course there wasnt. It ruins the mood, and most people would have been honest about their SO's parents telling them to back off. Am really hoping there wont be more than 2-3 episodes coming up of him making nian nian cry. But it still looks like the fallout will last til 25-26 to me.

Maybe shes just making him chase her a bit this time. He gets pretty mean for a while after all.

Thank Goodness! I just assumed when saw him sitting down at a meeting with a woman eyeballing him, then that marriage dialogue translated elsewhere. Im so so happy to hear they minimized the angst. :) I was seriously thinking of shelving it, if it took a turn for the worse.

He backs off and withdrawals from conflicts with friends and family. Never defends himself or his career, even with his own grandpa. So now he's even wimping out on nian nian because of his low self esteem. Seems like he would rather run than fight for her this time.

I peeked at some previews. Seems like they are broken up till ep 26 at least. And he even goes to a marriage meeting with someone else then rubs it in her face. So if this drags on this way... Lets just say im over it if he brings that random woman to his step moms wedding.

I saw that part today. Was wondering how far they were going to go down that road.

I thought this was gonna be a sweet feel good drama. If they break up because he refused to prove himself to her momma untill the end of the show....I dont think I want to watch them date other people and basically make me wanna cry for like 20 more episodes... Someone let me know just how melodramatic this is gonna get please.

myself about whether or not this is just happening in her head. If its vr gear that brought her there, does that mean none of these people are really alive? Reminds me of wizard of oz.

I recommend go go squid if you liked that one. My only complaint about it so far is that there are too many flashbacks

Tbh I dont think its worth trippin about if a new male celebrity ends up sleeping with a few skanks. Blackmailing, framing and shaming celebs for the things other people do without comment is a well known tool to take out the competition now. And even if he really was the one talking crap on that audio, who doesn't do that a bit when they think they are with someone they trust?

Try something like the brightest star in the sky, love 020, well intended love, accidentally in love, I hear you, and pretty li hui zhen. They all have a modern setting, its good entertainment without a lot of drag. If you want to go for some good costume drama try 10 miles of peach blossoms, princess agents, ashes of love, an oriental odyssey
or the eternal love.
Theres a few fantasy/historical comedies that were pretty good too. Like oh my emperor, oh my general and lets shake it.
