Solo Leveling anime version season 1&2 so we'll made, I'm rooting for this adaptation so it can go well. Woo Seok will never disappoint his potential of performance.
I'm still in ep. 28 and for some reason I feel like Nan rui the crown prince involved in an evil scheme to plan for gui the idiotic against the ML (cuz since his mom died decade ago, he fully took secret revenge by acting like a dumb prince towards the ML, it make sense). Whereas ML uncle involve in the death of Nan rui mom.
I got no problem with the FL, she's gorgeous and funny and ML is okay too... The storyline however just full of fan service without proper establishment it's too dull to watch
Only FL and ML centers in this drama as the only characters so fun to watch apart from them all are 1 dimensional characters since they just need to present inside a script... especially Chu Gui and the emperor was definitely a dumb and stupid character. The FL comedy performance so adorable, the ML is awesome with his balancing the dual character's and the 2nd FL so cute yet she's too smart for her own good. Also i pity Nan Rui, he looks like a grown up character that was born prematurely.
i'm still at ep.10... this drama is so phenomenal in its own right, i mean i'm surprised to see a cdrama within a cdrama... in paper i'd say this will probably fail but boy oh boy, it did work spectacularly especially Li Yitong performance, she's so good and for some reason i feel the same vibe as BAI LU when i see her face... too similar as if she's BAI LU little sister. can't wait to continue this one. The BGM works so good even though it was add modern musical .
i praised this drama for its showing of Brotherhood, Trust & Revenge. The ML character so well invest and i like it, The FL is fine too... the petty villain and the main villain (so annoying yet very reasonable as fck) has two different ways of goals but similar chaos. The existing of the drama itself solely depends on the plot twist... this drama has so many plot twist with very complex reason... also many are exaggerate & overestimate, some are far fetch, most its very interesting and others just plain plot-hole. its not THE Good drama outthere imo but it still hold up as one of the entertained drama outthere. The romance itself couldn't flow smoothly since this drama is full on Mysteries genre type... where the investigation so serious in it. And i think the Female characters in here dress as men like in some other drama usually look too obvious as women but maybe because its purely intent for us the viewers or else it doesn't make sense.
The only thing i watch this drama cuz i want to see Go Min Si Performance, i like her. She's so different in this drama, she's matured & responsible also kind & humble. But when compare to her other drama she can be a very rebel & wild character also can be very psychopath. Hope she cannot be CANCELLED in the kdrama industry. LDH is cool too, he delivered his performance pretty well. I feel like this drama and SNOWDROP so similar, both release in 2021, historical story in the 80s and both has the ending the viewers didn't expect but still became one of the best in 2021, the only different between them was that SNOWDROP focus more on espionage,politics & thriller then romance but this drama focus more on the ML FL dealing the hardship in their lives and their romance chemistry was very well written then came the political issues within the plot (that's why i dropped SD). The fact that GMS & LDH really done so good in this drama, the plot along with its screenplay couldn't made this drama the BEST, but at least its entertained filled with emotional thriller experience.

God.Lee!!! The drama with its badass op ML and supersmart FL so common in most cdrama and whats new for me was that the ML already has his own harem which begs the question, How they'll pull out the smooth romance on this, since it's not easy to make smooth/good romance in this kind of condition, whether it work or not, I find it not very strong plot in a character development of ML FL.
But for now I'll wait till mid 15 episodes, and if it still couldn't break the tension of the romance... I'd say this drama going no where
I like Julia as the FL... Even though she was just 20 at the time of this drama and the ML was 8 years older than her, the chemistry so beautifully well done, I try this drama since I saw her in one of the best fantasy cdrama LOVE OF THE DEVINE TREE. Julia definitely one of the greatest young actress in cdrama industry.
The drama has some ups and down , even though the concept of time travel so well written it's so good, especially that particular episode where the FL reset her romantic encounter so genius decision. The problem was the story itself, it's good but it's not flawless like for eg. Jirong marriage issues so dumb and empty, I don't like them at all. The villain ? Meeh, just mediocre. The fact that the past ML only experience mentally and the future ML experience physically...damn! That's pretty neat indeed & the most important thing in the drama was the BGM, so amazing ❤️.
I got some issue after watching this drama... the story is a fictional imagination within a fictional story telling during historical era, that's the second cdrama plot ive ever seen and it always didn't end satisfaction though this drama doesn't have disappointed ending and the ML is okay but i'm not a fan... we don't know who he was in his original version and got jeopardize the character development of his historical version which is too over-exaggerate AF! though the comedy is there and Geng Hu Yuan ended up like his character in "Prisoner of Beauty", the FL act as a supporting character helping the ML to upper his level within the plot. The only thing i vastly praise this drama because of it's supporting role Female Characters, they all beautiful for some reason which captivate my attention. Like Sun Tan'Er (ML Wife) , she's gorgeous, smart, humble & kind. Lou Shu Wan (Sun Tan'Er Childhood friend) , she's very pretty,smart, matured & kind. Shao Xian Ying (Bandit leader Wife), she's a kind, calm & considerate. Nie Yun Zhu (ML friend), she's determine, kind & can adapt easily during difficult time. Yuan Jin'er (Nie Yun Zhu young sister), she's naive, hardworking & kind. Lu Hongti (Assassin), she's strong, attractive & very loyal. Lin Xi Gua (Bandit Leader adoptive daughter), she's innocent, Wild, gorgeous & kind. There's some unexplained sequences and some pivotal characters were never mentioned again. Over all its a good and entertaining drama. Even though Season 2 is in development, i'm not that hype at all.
