This episode has very sweet interactions with both of our favorite couples. When Gu Yu understood from Lin Yuan’s phone chat that Su ChengCheng had been kissed first, he was more than happy to up his game so Lin Yuan would have more to tell. 😂 The photoshoot for the campaign had a major glitch and the bracelet saves the day with Tang Qi and Su ChengCheng becoming the younger versions of their famous actress. Gu Yu may need some time to recover watching his friend turn into a woman😂 There is a celebratory dinner and Tang Qi and Su ChengCheng announce they are a couple to the surprise of their colleagues. There is a sweet drunken scene and here Tan Jian Ci and Li Landi again prove how well they act together. This drama brings all the fluffy feels of first love and these two do not disappoint.

I have definitely underestimated GY’s strategic abilities in helping himself and the company. His contract deal with LY backfires on her. He warned her repeatedly and she opted to skim the fine print. So now enter QST in the mix. I am glad GY is honorable and has offered his assistance with contracts in future. LY is in desperate need of the help. He makes a call to WY and the result is an excellent plan to utilize LY’s comics to appeal to the entire age spectrum. It was genius. LY is all apologetic to SCC but it is handled well and they make plans to head to the location. Once there they learn of the room arrangements putting SCC and LY together as well as QST and TQ. LY worries about the situation but SCC is determined for everything to go well. SCC mentions that TQ has eye problems and she didn’t want anything else messed up. As QST she discovers that he is now colorblind. TQ is receiving all the disguise images in his head and is noting their similarities in mannerisms. He knows he is correct, but there is no logical reason for this to be so. While SCC is being a boy 🤣 LY goes and checks on her displays to be sure everything is perfect for the event. She runs into GY and they discover that one prop has the wrong type of makeup so GY makes a call to get it corrected. Grateful that mischief is managed LY asks GY directly about TQ’s eyes and GY tells her he is colorblind and there is no physical reason for this to be so. Unfortunately mean girl overhears and makes a deal with the competition. I really want karma to slap her hard. 😤 After QST makes his escape LY fills her in with GY’s info about TQ. So now that she is aware early next morning she makes tags for all the garments so that TQ will be able to see what colors they are. He appreciated the time she took to make them and understood why. Everyone is rehearsing for the event when some representatives show up from Vandai wanting color master TQ to make a lipstick for them. His friend tries to put them off but TQ knows that is not a good strategy so he agrees and tries to contact SCC so he can see. GY tells him that SCC knows of his condition not realizing that HIS overheard conversation is the one that threw TQ under the bus. I am really hoping mean girl does not find a way for this to be SCC’s fault and annoyed that LY has again caused SCC grief unknowingly. TQ et al are making their way to a makeup display as the episode ends.

Wow. LY’S mean girl might just be superior to SCC’s.😝QST comes to save the day and mean girl is all fake adoration. She is just eww and annoying on a grand scale. Her rich fiancé probably deserves her. GY puts himself on the line and I get annoyed with LY threatening their friendship if he LIKES her in an intimate way. He backs down but he is cut deep that she can’t even envision him as a devoted suitor capable of loving one person exclusively. TQ enters the scene and the ladies have even more to chat about later with LY surrounded by three handsome men🤣 He asks QST to go outside for a chat because he wants to test his hypothesis by getting QST and SCC together at same time. His plan fails but he doesn’t give up the experiment. SCC now knows GY likes LY and the looks QST gave her with thumbs up at luncheon is hilarious. These actors are a close knit group and it is evident by how they can mimic each other with great accuracy. This is truly a gifted bunch and it’s a shame that people not even watching this drama are deliberately sabotaging the rating scale. It deserves a much larger audience. LY rebuts her assessment by saying TQ likes SCC. They are queens of denial. The men and their alcohol therapy.🤣 This time GY snags the bottle and shares minimally. As messed up as this method of problem solving is….they are actually closer to the truth of things than the ladies are. The subway scene gives TQ more data but it comes with serious side effects. 🤣But again the way the color exchange is shown really indicates a mental interfacing between the two. The bracelet tech is taking these two to places angels fear to tread.🤣SCC is so linked now that she knows not only that his vision is impaired, she has surmised that it’s not his eyesight but his mental condition that is causing the ailment. These two are freakishly bonded😄 She bandages him up and chides him to give her warning before further experimenting. Mean girl strikes again at the office. She is a piece of work and this time chastising WY for working with SCC. WY is long past her initial disappointment with SCC and knows that their combined efforts will go much further than anything mean girl can come up with. The friendship developing between WY and SCC is fun to watch.

The women are getting smarter in their plotting. SQL used her connections to borrow a friend’s office space to show FJ has been healed. However the sunglasses disguise for the cameras is terrible. 😝 SCC is realizing she is responsible for the consequences of her disguises and this time is being carefully observant. She has guilt for the effects on TQ, but not enough to confess the cause of his discomfort. I can’t even imagine the shock of going from an extra spectrum of color to having only shades of grey. TQ’s only color vision is SCC and whatever item she’s touching. The way they showed him losing his color vision is the way SCC’s bracelet scans in reverse. It is like they are cosmically linked and are mentally interfacing via the tech of the bracelet. Since neither of them communicate directly, the tech itself seems to be trying to guide them along. The tacit understanding between them during that meal was nicely done. LY and GY again have a sweet scene and find themselves at TQ’s place. When the girls enter the car, TQ confirms he can only see SCC in color. I think the only thing that has kept TQ sane with this mental onset of color blindness is his fathomless quest for data. The condition itself is secondary to his quest to understand why. During the meal at his parents house I am curious if he mirrors dad to organize his food correctly or if they are that similar in habits. 🧐 I also saw that he is still wearing SCC’s hairband as a bracelet. While he is analyzing this verbally with GY He sees QST walking down the street in vivid color …..WHY?!Wow also noting a gruesome twosome has lowballed every episode til the end before it’s even been broadcast. Too bad they can’t be permanently banned from their idol they think they’re supporting with these mean antics.😝 But I do wonder why MDL allows ratings to be possible prior to release 🧐🙄

LY and GY have chicken soup😂 This was very cute but poor GY ……he is completely friend zoned. He has been nothing but sweet and she is just so oblivious. I am wishing him massive turtle luck. 🐢 It was a bit mean how SCC handled the date at the tennis court but I am giving her a pass because TQ was an ass about the flowers. He started that farce to protect her from mean girl colleague and he owed SCC a heads up that they were cancelled. Especially when she was the one buying them. He could have ended that on a better note to let her save face. All the psychoanalysis TQ did worked well for the ladies to get FJ out of the picture for him. The rainbow stairs scene was perfection. All the comments about Li Landi not doing much acting….she gave it in spades in this scene. I have no idea how this author is gonna get these two together, but if this is any indication of the potential between them…there is not gonna be any lack of chemistry. This scene was absolutely beautiful.

FJ is trying so hard to make her friend happy and it’s so not working. SQL and LY mean well but they are causing so much added pressure. For the first time ever SCC confidently tells her sis to step aside because she has no clue how to handle the situation. She enters the room and asks FJ what makes her comfortable. Something her good friend never bothered to ask😝 she gets FJ to agree by letting her present herself as she is. She has earned her credentials and has worked very hard to establish her business. SCC lets her know she is good enough as she is with no fake trappings required. I love how SCC as FJ completely rearranges things for FJ to be comfortable on the air. She confidently gets everything organized with FJ’s comfort in mind and she expertly has the product displayed. The meeting of SQL and TQ outside shows the assumptions SQL makes for both of them. He hands her a piece of chocolate and heads inside. 😂 The press conference is a success and FJ has taken a big step in restoring her confidence and moving forward. I give SCC full marks for that. She is so unsure of herself but she saw FJ quite clearly. She is outside still trapped in FJ disguise but she is watching on her phone and very pleased. TQ comes out and funny how he makes a beeline right for her. 😁His heart already knows. He sits down by her and she points out a rainbow. He starts spewing data of how it is made and she points out the spectrum of colors and how THAT is what makes it beautiful. She further goes on to say that pearls and fancy clothes make women appear beautiful but so do lab coats and other everyday things. That all of these different qualities is what makes women beautiful. TQ is completely entranced and declares his love for her on the spot. She runs off to not face him. As he’s heading up the stairs he runs into the real FJ and the conversation reveals it is not the same woman he talked to. When the ladies are together again and SCC tells FJ that TQ is in love with her, she is quite surprised. But she has the clearest view. She reminds SCC that she wasn’t the one that spent time with him. She concluded that he really loves SCC. They all toss that idea and here is where I get annoyed at how obtuse SQL and LY are with things of the heart. They just really don’t see the obvious. I think deep down SCC has an inkling of the truth, but she is scared to hope. TQ still doesn’t see her for who she is…..but she is also equally blind towards him. It is very interesting to see how with the important things they are very similar, and their opposites are very complementary when they get their preconceived interpretations out of the way and really pay attention to the intent of the other. This story is frustrating as hell😝 but all the characters whether you like them or not are there for a reason. They make you feel something and the spectrum of emotions this cast successfully conveys truly leaves a lasting impression. You have to chuckle at the guy version of this……alcohol therapy🤣 SCC’s bracelet is charged and LY is most happy with it’s newest feature.🤣

The acting is phenomenal in this series. FJ’s character switching from survivor to enforcer was well done. The conversation back and forth from thanking for help to I’ll kick his butt showed how well Li Landi’s fighting stance and attitude was projected. The court case sent everything in FJ’s favor and a deal was made with TQ’s company. What I did not like was SQL pushing FJ to do a press conference and even less in those clothes. Here I think she should have given FJ encouragement but let the decisions of when and how to FJ. GY and LY are so damn cute and his cue being jazz rather than heartbeat is fun. He is so lost and she has no clue. I’m still curious about SCC’S background. How did she get from kickboxer to interested in cosmetics as a career move? She is self conscious about her looks because of her sister but she really doesn’t experiment much with different looks or styles so it’s puzzling how she got here. Her first interview was in this field before sister’s help so this is her choice. I just really wanna know why? Her conversation with FJ shows she is intelligent in finding problems with cosmetic items and this is how she complements both FJ and TQ. They work better together than separately. TQ is a drunken mess trying to figure out why there are two FJ’s lol and it is interesting that the one most like him is the one he doesn’t like. 😂so GY is trying to be helpful and pushes him towards FJ so TQ goes to her lab and the wax figure is born. 🤣 I wonder how long it took them to shoot that without laughing and with frozen faces. The end conversation amongst the women I get the same vibes as them talking to SCC about TQ’s lack of feelings or no need to worry. They are trying to be encouraging to FJ, but you can tell by SCC’s silence she doesn’t agree. I did appreciate SQL’s sharing of first court case nerves. I think that is a new concept for SCC to hear because I don’t think she really sees her sis having vulnerabilities. But SCC’s question of do we have to overcome all our insecurities to live a better life? Is a damn good one.

TQ is so conflicted. He has no clue why he is attracted to FJ and even GY thinks he is fickle. This episode has very sweet moments and all the while I want it to be with the girl not the disguise. Neither are ready yet so it’s waiting to see how fate plays it out for them. GY and LY are more sigh worthy. She so lovingly signed all those books, GY is falling faster than TQ😂 Mean girl is still causing grief at the office. Sun Wukong has a staff all ready to thump her with 😝 I hope the author has karma in store because she is getting on my nerves.

This episode 😝 I enjoyed the sweet interactions of GY and LY. They make me smile. Many viewers had a good laugh with this episode so I am a minority opinion. I watched a second time to see if I still felt the same and I do. I am beyond disappointed at the women in this episode in killing off SM. It was not in the fake death. TQ was too determined and he would have gone to the ends of the earth if she just disappeared. What really disgusted me was the complete lack of regard for the impact this had on TQ. SCC got piss poor advice and assurances from her jaded divorce attorney sis and her best friend. That fake boo hoo session at the wake made me want to smack them. Once SCC saw how upset he was she should have checked up on TQ and showed some sympathy even if just through his friend. I will admit that I wanted to drop this series because I was beyond fed up with the entire lot of the women. 😝 what I can say to others more of my mindset is I have watched through ep 17 and the story is worth it. But this episode ….😝🙄 I rated it 8 because I am tired of fans downgrading JCT’s works but this for me is truly 2 stars for the sweetness of GY and LY. Those two made me continue watching.

This episode starts with SM in hospital with a fractured leg. This means that SCC’s work presentation will be by her colleague (mean girl😝) LY will get her later after showing her publisher her new characters. TQ visits and SM delivers a crushing rejection of his confession. She is hoping this will make him give up and move on. So the work presentation goes well but mean girl took 99% of the credit. She relinquished the 1% when TQ directly questioned her about the data. There is a very funny interaction between LY and GY which involves a meltdown, lots of egg shells and a Lost You Forever Xiang Liu doll 🤣 GY inadvertently clues in big sis that SCC has been missing work due to illness. TQ visits SM again to catch her before she hits the floor trying to sneak out of hospital. Tan Jian Ci easily lifted dance partners so his old man act is quite funny. SM sends him out to get takeout for her. Her bracelet is just about upgraded so she tries again to get out of the room before TQ comes back. She was not successful but was rescued by LY and her sis while TQ heads to SM’s room. SQL gives them a deal they can’t refuse so they are going to explain when they get to LY’s place. When TQ gets to the room it is of course empty but the nurse hands him SCC’s laptop that she had left behind. He is recognizing that there are too many similarities between SM and SCC but he can’t figure out why. He also heads to LY’s place to get an explanation about the work laptop that was left in the hospital. SCC has a very good time demonstrating being pretty to her sister and telling her about the upgrades. TQ arrives and hears her so makes his way in to return laptop. There is a fun time of moving decorations and eventually SCC shows up to apologize about laptop. That evening she has SM txt TQ apologizing for being so mean and to make plans for the weekend. I was saddened by his playing her hateful words in his head while he is making such a beautiful sketch of her. He has high hopes for the weekend and it is not going to end well. SQL joins LY and SCC to help remove SM from the picture permanently. SCC goes to work and greets colleague with a gift for helping her. She then finds out what really happened. So mean girl got a visit from Sun Wukong warning her to change her ways 😂 mean girl then admits everything and apologizes with TQ overhearing. I find myself not really looking forward to their weekend plan while acknowledging SM has to go.

In this episode SCC’s bracelet is glitching which means she never knows which face she is presenting. She runs into TQ and gives him even more mixed signals as he doesn’t know why Su Miao is in the building and hugging him in the dark. She knocks him out and runs to her best friend’s place. There she is horrified to find GY and literally sends him flying. 😂 TQ wakes up from an interesting dream and has a chat with his friend. He can’t make any determination about SM and wants advice. SCC and LY have learned that that the bracelet is upgrading and the process is very slow. So of course she has to request working from home and this continues to reflect poorly on her with colleagues and flipped the good opinion TQ was starting to make of her work effort. She finds herself invited to dinner with TQ with no escape. There is a project due at work and her partner refuses to help so SCC must get the data from TQ directly. She is annoyed at the lack of response so she and LY try testing with a txt from SM. When TQ promptly responds they are annoyed and out for more revenge. What they don’t know is the internet was down and he could not comply with the request until then. It put him in a bad light but this time he wasn’t guilty. After completing her work project she goes to dinner as SM to find that TQ had a very fancy dinner cruise arranged where he confesses. He looks across the table to see her jumping out of the window🤣 what is more surprising he jumps out to follow her😂 when SCC gets to her friend’s car she slaps on the window looking like a creature from the swamp and LY screams in shock and terror. This was another good laugh from me. This drama is just so fun in all the right ways. SCC and LY are enjoying takeout when a soaked TQ show up at the door. While TQ and LY are arguing at the door, the episode ends with SCC sprawled out on the stairs in a botched attempt to escape the scene.

This episode starts with everybody celebrating a very successful photo shoot. While Su Miao worked very hard to make this success and SCC is smiling because she was the contributor, nobody else is aware of this. SCC is not being celebrated by her work colleagues tho the pretense is made at the after work party. There is a humorous adventure of the best friends getting acquainted. 😂 this was second belly laugh because the battle over the car ride was well done. SCC finds herself left with TQ and her picking him up by the collar was hilarious. Their mutual disdain is made abundantly clear but the underlying attraction between them is palpable. This makes them resent each other even more. 😝 so while the besties are settling their travel disputes, SCC and TQ find themselves at his place. The unceremonial tossing him on the floor and crawling into his bed is very funny. She wakes up to discover they have literally slept together. 😱🙄 she almost makes her escape but is not quite successful. She turns herself into Su Miao and tells him to eat a good breakfast. Now had she been thinking she would have recalled that Su Miao hadn’t gone to the party so what else could TQ assume when he sees her at the door. His friend’s response “You slept with a woman?!” is priceless The exchange in the elevator between TQ and SCC keeps the misunderstandings going. She notes her hair tie on his wrist and considers him shallow and he reminds her she smells like bbq. Her calling him scum makes me smile because he really does deserve it in his treatment of SCC. While they all are trying to sort their after party experiences SCC is trying to make amends with her colleagues. She is not received well when they hire her and she overhears their reaction as she is bringing in cakes and coffee. She exits and has a pity party with her best friend, but in this instance I am not feeling compassion. She did work her butt off as Su Miao, but SCC has done damn little to deserve an actual job hiring. So when the mean girl of the coworkers drops a boxful of files for her to go through SCC accepts her fate and digs in. She is working late and TQ finds her stuff at a desk and as a master of observation, he notes a hardworking person and that something isn’t adding up with the slacker she has appeared to be. At the end of the episode SCC is noting a bracelet glitch and things are taking a turn for the worse.

To find out only a birthmark away from the throne😝 Han had reason to be angry. But for him the bloodiest path was always his first choice. He went to great lengths to feign heroics to cover his cold blooded murder of Huai. Being treated like a hero for taking a vengeful act on an unarmed man is the epitome of irony. The Empress has nothing left to lose so she is teaming up with the less blind Prince to raise a coup against the murderer of her husband and son. Missed it by ‘that’ much on the leader of cult. Takes a blind guy to lead blind obedience in this crowd. Minister Li is still part of it but not the leader I expected. Yan Li and Sui are locked in the palace when all hell breaks loose. This is Deja vu for poor Sui, but on a much grander scale. Wan and Chi have made it inside the castle and things are getting ugly quick. Imperial guards are killed by cultists disguised as guards. They are getting ready to go toe to toe with local radicals. The blind prince should have made more effort to work with Wan and Chi. This could have been dealt with on a legal front. Having said that, considering how well the legal system worked for Jin he had every reason to not. Jin’s resigned laugh at the opulent wine decanter with poison just for him. The evidence is coming together but there is going to be a literal royal bloodbath first. That smiling eunuch that did all the dirty work finally had enough. He is more than ready to see the fake emperor die for his crimes. I’m all for that but want Yan Li and Sui out of the building first. Alive.

It had to be a most difficult thing for Prince Chi to find out how his father died and for his beloved to be the messenger. The Emperor probably thought he had sped things up enough that the truth of his murder wouldn’t be uncovered. The irony of those closest to you betraying you hits hardest. The traitor knew how Bedouins would have treated the corpse and they did not behead. He at least wanted the body left intact and figured his position secure enough to not worry about any investigations. There is a vast difference in interrogating techniques between Cheng and Prince Chi. The empress had bodyguard let out for a reason. Was she trying to save him and hide him? Or wanted him silenced and buried where no one should find him? It is disgusting that Cheng is conducting the case but minister Li holds his own. Whether it’s to help find or cover up the truth remains to be seen. Xiang is such a foolish girl. She proudly confesses her liaison with the prince and chooses to go. I can understand her hard feelings towards her aunt, she had them coming. But her uncle had only been kind to her. His reaction to her pride at illicit affair should have carried some weight. That she only held them in contempt proves there was no saving herself from her own ambition and spite. She now has no family to back her and better hope Cheng finds her useful without it. I’m sure she envisions herself on par with Yu and Wan. She doesn’t realize she has just made herself Feng girl’s maid in the house. The honor and respect she thinks coming her way is soon going to be proven a pipe dream and if she doesn’t have a male heir quickly, she will have no other use. He already had issues with Qin family before his debacle with Wan, so there is no telling what her treatment will be. The only thing determined, is she succeeded in becoming the captain of her own fate. She just chose the worst future possible. I am glad her maid stayed for Shuang. Without Xiang there to stir things up she will find happiness with her Lt and have a peaceful life. It is good to see a united bond with Prince Chi and Wan. They have resolutely decided to meet destiny head on with a united front regardless of fate. They have opted to marry during mourning period to be together sooner in spite of protocol. The treasured items in his father’s box were heartbreaking. He does at least know his father’s true sentiments in his own words. It is some solace. I was hoping the box had his mother’s ring. Maybe the dowager has it. To know that his father never wavered in loving his mother and knew what was going on in the palace let him know how much his father loved him and wanted him protected. They are making progress on dealing with the traitor. The emperor was pitiful in whining for his mother’s attention while refusing her to see her son’s body before burial. Things will not go well with him as this all unravels. That tiger tally he holds onto so tightly will not serve him well with an army that doesn’t believe in him. I am glad there was a backdoor plan to save the core remnant of the army. This is the future security of the realm. After seeing his reaction to body being discovered, I am curious how much crown prince knows about Jin. Was this simply a way to rid an obstacle to the throne? Is the scholar prince also a murderer? Or is he trying to survive in the machinations that surround him? And how does this blind Prince fit in? He doesn’t say much but listens to everything. Also, the salt traders and human trafficking cases, will these blend into this last case? Or left out of the equation? I would still like some resolution about the remains of those little girls. There is also more left with the cultists. The wood carver and artist were patsies but somebody else the leader. They didn’t have the clout to bury cases.

The emperor’s mask is fading fast. He is starting to unravel. Love how Prince Chi showed up both princes in archery. But I gotta say I cheered for crown prince keeping up with consort’s son. He did a good job holding his own. There is hope for him. Xiang is predictable in looking for love in all the wrong places😝She deserves whatever fate has in store for her. I just don’t want her taking her sis down with her. I hope that nice LT keeps after her. He might be 7th rank but he’s a good and considerate man. They would be a good match. I like Prince Yan Li fighting for Princess Ning. They are a good match if slow down the drinking. That scum with consort son pulling out rape drug on Wan. I am glad he was killed. There is no telling how many women he’s assaulted. Cheng thought he was quite the hero for the damsel in distress. She took him down with just words. 😝She held her own under harsh circumstances and the needles a nice asset in her arsenal. Prince Chi should finish the slime ball off but he won’t. But he could plant the arrow right in the middle of that coiffed hair and leave a bald spot. I know where everyone else wants the arrow to go 😂 he has no heart to hit and his manhood would be even smaller target. 😂 Maybe Wan will have a suggestion for him. Those fake wives whining to emperor. Consort and empress using Yu like a wishbone. She will be bored or abused depending on which one gets her. The fact that emperor didn’t bother to check names is troubling. He knows consort’s son in particular has issues. He never considered Wan in the mix, or did he? Was he going for plausible deniability if Prince Chi removed name? Prince Chi now commiserated with Qing getting cut off from proposal. 😝He knew the wives interference kept him from committing to Wan first publicly. It’s going to get ugly with his father, but after hearing why his father refused, I can’t fault him. It’s better to handle that at the borders than let invaders come in and then deal with them. I loved Wan’s declaration to Prince Chi.🥰 She had avoided commitment for so long but when she finally did, she was all in with no hesitation, no matter their status. They are truly becoming the power couple.🥰 I would like to think consort’s son would get in trouble, but he’s going to pretend he was hero and Prince Chi misunderstood the situation.😝 I can’t wait til they can be rid of these slime balls. Wan was quick on her feet leaving markers for Prince Chi to find. She also opted to piss off scum prince to face death rather than rape. With those two options, death would be preferable.😝 Glad scumbag knew just how good Prince Chi is in archery. Let him hang around and ponder that for awhile.😝
