KJ2025 JingJing gives LuZe an ultimatum and Lu Ze failed. He is so driven by his product which should have been the perfect thing for R&D, but he did not know how to protect it or produce it. This worked against him as a businessman. Making Qian Fei the messenger for his business lapse in judgment was unfair to both of them. She and YiFei outlined what he needed to change on the business side and he bought into Mr Liao’s fake security. His biggest failure was not confiding in JingJing and to not think her capable to be his supporter for his business. If he loses her, he deserves to. YiFei has disappeared and Qian Fei wonders where he is. Poor bear getting quite a beating with no snuggles this time. A drunken YiFei finally gets back and notes the bear dressed like him.🤣He tucks bear in with her and tells them goodnight. They bargain for chores and both equally shameless involving parents. Qian Fei won that one since mom is a spirit. He whines greatly over dish chore but the button sewing gives them both fond memories of mothers. These little instances bring thoughtfulness to the drama and a sweetness to the couple. Wang txts an apology but it said unsent. Had he texted her with the truth from get go, that whole lobby scene would have never taken place. Qian Fei has been toting that 500K luggage around all day.😝🙄Ms Fang is told no about apologizing to Ms Liao. Wang should do that. 😝 Lu Ze and business partner are at Yi Fei’s family home waiting on a meeting. Yi Fei is off to a meeting. Can’t wait to see the look on Lu Ze’s face next episode.

With this episode Sriyada receives packages and the delivery boy collapses from heat and exhaustion. They try to give him one of their boxed lunches and then get a lesson on why they are unhealthy with all the oil. He pieces together a healthier box from others. Another girl ate like he did and it was called thoughtless food. They visit the home of the delivery boy and learn why his preferred food was most thoughtful. His father was a musician that ate and acted however he pleased. It resulted in failing health and all his musician fans and friends left him to his family that he had spent years ignoring. They have been taking care of him faithfully in spite of his poor behavior in the past. He is now grateful for his wonderful wife and faithful son. Sriyada and Chengtu were walked through the process of making pig fat. When used properly and in small amounts, it is not unhealthy for food. She showed them how to cook eggs and keep the yolk soft and how to crush basil first to release aromatics before adding to the meat. Even tho this dish was similar to the ones they had ordered, there was a distinct difference in oil amount and quality. They showed cooking in oil with carcinogens vice freshly made , small quantity and throwing away after use. It does make you think about all the extra bad things that might be included in takeaway foods from lazy habits with cooking oil. At the end they give the recipe and show the cooking techniques to make the dish successfully.

Tianyang has been kneeling for two days to beg for mercy for his dad. The Marquis got his deal because the palace has received word that his confession has been signed and sealed with only Prince Ding and his man hearing testimony. The Empress Dowager is rather heinous granting the son a visit and having him give his father the poisoned wine. I wonder if her son will get the same honor?😝 Ms Wen is rejoicing at his death because for her, her husband is avenged. Ye Li realizes Xiu Yao knows about her mother and she is much more thoughtful and quiet. I am wondering who her new doll represents. QingShuang? Su Zuidie? Guo Jin? At the prison Gu Zheng is also satisfied. He is planning to write that epitaph he’s been dreaming about for 8 years. Prince Ding gives him a small smile but he’s torn inside with the news the Marquis gave him. His guard gets a happy Gu out of the room and gets the carriage. The Marquis spun his story well with just enough truth to make it plausible. He was instrumental in having Ye Li’s mother betrayed by the Ye family and Consort Qin aware of his plan so she had no fear intercepting. She did get the final laugh giving him a fake to burn. Xiu Yao knows it is not the whole truth, but he is now plagued with doubt. Was Ye Li pressured to marry him due to guilt for her mother’s role? Was she pressed to cure him for the debt her family owed him? This is unbearable for him and he collapses under the shock of it all. They are making this as poignant as possible with flashbacks and both in deep introspection. His guard returned long enough to get a change of clothes for him and smelling like meds. Ye Li was strongly encouraged to wait til his return. What should be a very happy day with the Marquis’ deeds being exposed and his entourage disgraced did not have Prince Ding smiling. The son heads the group leaving the capital with the Marquis’ body. The Prince and cavalry members have their honor restored. I wonder what the Empress Dowager is thinking as she created the one that did all these crimes. Does she reflect at all? or like the Consort goes with —out with the old and in with the new. There is a touching scene at XiuWen’s memorial. Ms Wen is telling him about all the wrongs righted. Her son is still trying to figure out happy tears. Xiu Yao is keeping very silent. She sends the boy and guards off for a task and has a heart to heart with Xiu Yao. She describes her relationship with his brother and of his final letter to set her free. I am not thanking her for planting this seed for him. Ye Li goes to hear the end of the story. It gave her her worst fear as the outcome and both lovers tragically died because separated. Xiu Yao did have to show up at home when she is out listening to a story.😝He directly asks her about her mother’s role with the edict and she directly answers. However, when she used recompense and compensation in regards to his brother at execution site, he interpreted that as her view of her marriage and healing him. She realized her wrong word choice for him too late. He hands her a box and we all already know what’s inside. Ms Wen, your attempt to help has become a blow instead. They have been better than most hurrying misunderstandings along in this drama and I am hoping this trend continues with this particular arc. It is necessary unfortunately, but hopefully not with unnecessary angst. Now waiting for tomorrow’s episode.😭

Yi Fei gets thanked for dealing with Wang and Qian Fei has snacks ready. She comes out after working on translation freelance project completely exhausted. She hasn’t filled him in on why she needs the cash but he’s aware that it’s a pressing matter for her. There is entirely too much time wasted on Jun Cheng. I appreciate Dang Yu explaining she only dates men…real grownups. But that whole time with the park matchmaking scene and scheming mother when we could have had more of anything else. 😝🙄WHY? They took a cute friend and made him into an annoying stalker creep for no good reason. So now that he’s getting his epiphany that girls worth dating don’t like to date the man child living with his parents. Grow the hell up off screen. 😝🙄This is a creative choice that adds nothing but annoyance to the story. It is a shame capable actors have to comply with this nonsense. JingJing again has to go to his new place of work and make a huge unnecessary scene. I like her character, but this over the top superfluous drama is just not a good contribution to the story. She could have made the point quietly in his office with the concerned parties present rather than the public at large. He finally admits his mom’s illness. Why the hell didn’t he do that when he spoke directly to her the night before? He lied to two women in one night and thinks he will survive?😝🙄His lies of omission to ex and flat out lies to current gf has caught up with him in the lobby of his workplace. So now there is a nice jumble of old friends and current jobs entangled in a messy mass of collateral damage caused by secrets, lies and procrastination. No clue why YiFei wants social media involved but waiting to see what that’s all about. I felt bad for LuZe initially, but he was told straight up what he needed to fix and he wanted an easy way out. He didn’t want to do his homework or find somebody knowledgeable to mentor him or be hired to take care of the business side of R&D. He did not realize Shanlifang’s investment was in the form of loans making any investor responsible to pay the loans back first. This makes him look incapable no matter how promising his app might be. Today’s episode had everything I did not want to know about. Hopefully less on the aftermath of this and more with actually moving the project along.😝

JingJing and QianFei are having some girl time. What was unexpected is Lu Ze’s company affected by the assessment plan. They have to find a new investor or spun out of the project. He is upset with Qian Fei because he was told she was the one that made the decisions. He has overestimated her actual role and Ms Liao was not going to let him think otherwise. So now he has cowardly put the onus on her to tell JingJing. He has a right to feel blindsided and angry, but he can’t blame Qian Fei for his company’s finances. He also trusted Mr Liao keeping him on because he believed in his company. It never crossed his mind that at some point they were over assessing his company’s value to cook the books. Yi Fei gave her a very direct set of reasons why their company had to go. They could not be refuted. It was simply the bottom line. Her love/hate relationship with that teddy bear.😂🤣 I’m so mad at Yi Fei .BAMBAM BAM then she hugs and snuggles it after beating. 🤣😂Wang😡🤬He comes to her home late at night wanting a settle,ent and her to change jobs. He should have a black eye rather than hurt nose. He has lied to his gf so when this all comes out where will he be then. He is such a coward. He gets steamed up with JingJing calling him out but he takes no responsibility for the position he put Wian Fei in. He did not tell his parents or help with venue deposits yet he wants her to cough up 500k. 🤬 Yi Fei is out with friends and hooked into a blind date. She is pretty and has a beautiful voice but he’s busy txting Qian Fei about late night snacks. 🤣😂 He even suggests a future date to enjoy the girl’s cooking. His arrogant air is crossing paths with his smitten one.🤣😂The colleague has it right about their sharp tongues being a good match. 🤣😂 Yi Fei gets a thanks for handling Wang and late night snacks while the pouty ex hides his cowardice with a lie to new gf. 😝 Looks like things heat up with Lu Ze’s company in the preview.

Sriyada received a package of sunscreen and needed to come up with an idea for her livestream. Chengtu is planning a shoot in a rice field so serendipity that their jobs complemented and would help each other. Chengtu was ready to take his last photo of the sunset when a van wanted them to move. They weren’t polite but Chengtu could also have parked to keep road accessible. It turns out that both groups have same employer to help with website. Sriyada is doing her live cast in the field to demonstrate how well the sunscreen worked. The video crew mocked her in the background and Chengtu got in their frame when they were recording. The bickering continued and a cook off was suggested by Sriyada. She saw a katuri flower that reminded her of her mother’s soup and how she always said later when her mom wanted to teach her. Chengtu’s mom was not available to help this time so emergency calls were made to Sriyada’s dad. He never did answer the phone but he showed up on site to help her out with the cooking. Together they successfully created the dish they remembered so well but had never tried making. Her dad wanted to be dubbed Angel for helping them. 🤣Both teams won the same prizes but the photographer team declared winner. The sharing of food helped smooth over biases and ended the job on a far more positive note. This again gives the recipe and directions for the hot and sour soup. This episode did a beautiful job of showing us the scenic area and the flavor of those that lived there. We get to feel a part of the experience and can make the dishes they are enjoying if choose to. The snide remarks and actions of the video crew I found off putting, especially on the job site where everybody was supposed to be professional. It was nice to see Sriyada and her dad connect over a favorite family dish. I am still chuckling that Sriyada was the one to shut them up with cook off idea when she knows the least how to cook.🤣😂

Qian Fei is still put out the YiFei’s ex thought he couldn’t be interested in her type. When she talks to engaged friends her friend reminds her how she used to be pre Wang and they plan on a shopping g trip. She tells Qian Fei to consider it a career investment rather than emptying her pockets. The pancake scene was very cute🤣 He is absolutely shameless in the extra chores he gets out of her. He made Qian Fei tote a box of books to his office from the front desk, but he also had her check it against his reading list so she could copy it and have her own reference library. He then cons her into cleaning his room and doing his laundry because he had to wash vegetables. 🤣😝 she finally outsmarts him by having a chore list with cost per chore and for him to give it to her in cash. He still weaseled out of paying for the meal prior to eating.😝Wang is in the phone with his parents in his apartment upgrade. He has made no mention of his breakup so his mother has no clue Qian Fei was stuck with deposit for the wedding venue she wanted. When nMs Liao wants to know if he cooked for his ex, he realized he never bothered. He tied her shoelaces and that seems to be it.😝I guess he wanted a higher maintenance gal to do things for. He hopefully feels a bit ashamed. With the AI face thing, we can’t really get how the original actor reacted. He finds out via txt from his dad that his mom is in bad shape and her care will be expensive. After the washer mishap, Qian Fei asked YiFei to move out because she was just too tired to deal with him any more. He shamelessly makes up a poor kid’s story and pretends deep depression. She moves along to prices of chores rather than kicking him out. The episode ends with Qian Fei’s friend getting cut from the project unless he can find an investor. I think next episode the new gf will tell him Wang’s ex is why. This episode was more filler setting the scene for project development.

The court is finally bringing up charges for the Marquis. He could possibly wrangle out of the attempted murders by claiming zealots responsible. But the weapons dealings, bribes accepted and confession from his supposedly dead confidante is irrefutable proof. The Duke promises to investigate and uphold justice. Before the dust settles, Ye Li comes out with the edict and the Duke verifies it’s the Emperor’s handwriting. It stated the general was to come home to defend the throne. Prince Ding makes three petitions before them. To prosecute the Marquis for his weapon dealings, to clear his brother’s name, and to exonerate the 30k souls of cavalry unit that were killed or charged falsely for desertion. Before Empress dowager could say a word her son granted the request. All the misdeeds are going to be aired and the truth will set the right ones free. Feng is waiting at the assigned place with her favorite flower and she has not come. He sees the funeral procession go by but doesn’t think anything of it. He loves a merchant so none of the royal delegation matter to him. Ye Li’s drawing reveals the truth. He now knows who she really is. He misses the boat with her entourage heading for Cangbai and tosses some flowers after her hoping she sees them. I was really hoping she faked her death but it doesn’t seem to be so. Ye Li has fallen ill because she swallowed MingXi’s hairpin to cough up blood in prison. She has a conversation with QingShuang. They have not told Xiu Yao her mother;s role with the edict and she fears being kicked out of the palace once she does. She loves Prince Ding and hopes he will stand by her. They agree to wait til all the trial proceedings are over before telling him. Our couple go fishing to unwind after all the stress and separation. While working at the Shende Shop MingXi notes someone looking for him. Ye Li and Fei Bai have a chat about all the proceedings. He worries about her place with Prince Ding when her mother;s news comes to light. She promises that the Prince will stay by her side and she is content keeping her promise to his brother. He then has battle scars from a fight with Lady Yusheng. She had made a robe for another Gu Qin player and he tried it on. He offered payment and then support for them as a couple. The ijit.🙄Both were angry and she left with her friend for a performance. MingXi finds his brother being punished by Prince Li. There is the cursed Su Zhuidie.😡🤬 seems there is survival history with her and the brothers. MingXi has the right of it. I hope he disentangles himself from this group. Prince Li won’t make it easy, but he might have treated MingXi better if he saw how Ye Li was defended by him. 😝This episode left on a sour note. The wrong woman from Cangbai is still alive.🤬

The strategic planning team seemed like the company joke at the beginning of episode. But once it was found out who had lithium rights in Yulivia, they became the company savior. Eldest sis finally found out she did not have the expected backing and very reluctantly spent 4 billion for the lithium plus the stocks promised. First part of episode was lighthearted with the three plus current interim chairman rejoicing at beating the twins. Gma finally acted like a gma and the families could eat what was offered or leave.👏🏻 The slap the eldest daughter had coming since a bratty teen was satisfying to see.👏🏻 she knows without help she can’t be chairman and Hwang said clearly he wouldn’t because of his leg. He is going to back youngest daughter to the end. His gma disappeared from the facility and ended up at Hwang’s place. She had him a huge meal repaired and cried for him that he could no longer play soccer. She reminded him that he had a duty to Hwang that he’d been ignoring. Eldest girl has lost her mind. She is bargaining with sis in law’s dad to get chairman. His daughter gets to be president of trading instead of her brother. She bargains for him to get rid of both siblings and her dad. Her brother hears in adjacent room, but sis already had plans to set him up. She records him yelling at her and pretends he kidnapped her. She reveals his slush funds and she acts like she is a fearful victim. She absolutely has no shame. Stepmom knows they messed up indulging them when young and can save the grandkids but the twins….the son has a chance at redemption but the daughter is heinous. The daughter in law is a calmer version of eldest but she is as ruthless. When he called out to his son and his son apologized. He knew he was talking to dad. Hwang collapses shortly after because chairman is waking up. They had a flashback of Casy in the states missing home. Dad and his guard handled the bullies.😂🤣 This proves there was a soft side to the chairman. I hope they have a legal team to help out the son. He’s messed up but it was because he refused to see what his dad had always said about his bride choice. He is greedy, self indulgent and lazy but he’s still redeemable. It is going to be a whole new world when Hwang wakes up in an old body…or they switch souls back however this plays out when both conscious. This show has gone dark with company tier climbing. It’s still an interesting watch.

Yi Fei finds her sleeping at work and looks over her plan. She wakes up in time for meeting to find all her whiteboards cleaned. She is starting to apologize when she’s informed YiFei had already passed the report and here was her copy. She is then questioned about specific parts and her presentation begins. Right after she’s given busy work for Fang and YiFei calls her up to the rooftop. He explains that dealing with people doesn’t give you the same luxury as dealing with numbers. He admits to partially using her abilities, but he goes on to tell her if she doesn’t back up her abilities with confidence and have a go getter attitude she will never be recognized. She finally has a chat with Ms Fang and congratulated for finally speaking up for herself. She now gets to work on the prospectus and be with the inner team that also deals with the financials. Yi Fei did not tell Qian Fei he had a far more detailed fixit plan ready. He wanted her to bask in some success. I like his impromptu poem that became a rally cry before heading back. I also liked her telling Wang to grow up and act professional without worrying about gossip. Cheng greets Dang Yu at the door and she agrees to go out with him after being embarrassed by colleagues. He tells her about himself and she politely and straightforwardly tells him confession heard and rejected. She said dinner was on her and have it packed up to eat with his mom. Considering his actions and behavior there is no sympathy for him. He needs to see through her eyes how obnoxious his behavior has been and be grateful no police reports filed. His parents sneak into his phone and that’s just as creepy. They don’t recognize personal boundaries amongst themselves, much less the general public. I fear Qian Fei’s engaged friends might be some collateral damage to fix Shanlifang’s poor credit. Qian Fei tried to warn him his ex would be coming but he shooed her away til after meeting. When meeting her they barely touched hands and acted like strangers. His presentation was flawless and Qian Fei noted he always paused at best angles for admiring. 😂🤣 They de stress playing cards when ex gf starts txting. YiFei sends a preposterous response to shut her up but that’s when she tells Qian Fei he would never like a girl like her. As if. She’s probably bored with her Milan man and missing new handbags. If she knew how frugally YiFei has been living, she would not wonder at him not mentioning her. He likes the smart girl with attitude who thinks wasting money is a crime. It will be very interesting to see all 6 at the same table as the project continues. 🫣😬😂

Ye Li is convinced her assassin/guard is not with his brothers plans but is a witness to them. She fakes spitting up blood to get a message out to Gu Zheng to keep watch over Su Zuidie. She won’t tell the Duke what she knows for now because nobody can be trusted. Prince Ding’s group is coming home with prisoner when they find a secret messenger. He does not know YeLi is charged with the murder, but he is well aware of what happens if even a single message gets through to Cangbai. This is actually the first bit of good new for Dachu. The right man is in the right place. Su ZuiDie boldly goes to Marquis and gives him an offer she thinks he can’t refuse. Her smug confidant speech is just galling. He will comply because she has barely scratched the surface about what she know of the weapon transactions. It makes no sense to give the enemy the building plans of your best weapons but Cangbai warriors are already trained in how to use and manufacture them before Dachu does. 🤬Consort Qin is leaving the palace to care for her father. She is done being the pawn. When asked if Princess Ding was the murderer, her response was if the real murderer found she was not, but if not found she would have to be. Within the palace walls, truth did not matter. As to her ‘sister’ missing her, she pointed to the wisteria which had replaced Emperor’s crabapple blossoms. Out with the old, in with the new. Now that she has given away the edict, she can live. I really want to see her toss that orchid out of the carriage. 😝Uncle Wen has all the collected works and papers of XianKun to give to her as she leaves. She tells him to burn them all. I was hoping here that the orchid would top the pyre of his work, but she kept it or has other plans for it. One of the Marquis’ zealots was ready to kill Ye Li. Her assassin says she knows martial arts and to do something. She is not channeling master Zhu this time and it’s the second time he is trying to figure out what’s going on. Fei Bei knows and feels responsible for telling her he was at the school. Her mind could not conjure him when he’s up on the mountain. He realizes his mistake too late. Fortunately the assassin got a couple good hits in. Right when help finally arrived he killed himself first. Ye Li talks the Duke into finding the killer herself. He accepted that she had nowhere to go and it was find the truth or die. So she Mets up with Su Zuidie who is annoyed the Marquis didn’t take care of her. She boldly outlines all her plans and why. She tossed Ye Li and Xiu Yao in the mix just because they had allegiance to the Empress dowager. Too bad she didn’t rattle off all the Marquis’ misdeeds as well. She then found herself encircled by guards and the prime investigator. Good job Princess Ding. 🥳👏🏻 The Marquis is surprised to see his son and finds out he is being used as leverage. He now knows to tread carefully. The Empress dowager is pondering things and chatting with her servant. I am wondering if she’s starting to worry again about out with the old and in with the new. Now if Prince Ding is successful with his part, war is definitely delayed and maybe thwarted. And best news for assassin….he has a guaranteed job at Shende shop.😂🤣 The court found Su Zuidie guilty and ordered her to be escorted back to Cangbai for prosecution. The general actually apologized for his crappy behavior in the beginning and for being duped by his own people in the conspiracy. Ye Li wants to bring up charges for the attempted murder in prison. Bathe prior prisoner and her attack were both by Marquis’ henchman. He already knows the ax is falling. Whether he gets to dodge it remains to be seen. I would really like to see Feng get a happy ending and the princess not be really dead. It is not likely, but for now I can hope it was planned to catch Cangbai rebels. Hoping Ye Li and Xiu Yao get together soon.

At the fire inspection gamer Cheng gets away to track down his auntie spy and tell her to stop it. Turns out it’s his mom.😂 They actually have a very cute moment and it’s clear that the son takes after his mom with the spying ways. This I enjoyed watching. I know it’s supposed to be cute and funny how he’s stalking her, but it really isn’t. He’s a very sweet character that is annoying the hell outa me rather than entertaining me. When he tells his mom he knows what he’s doing I can only roll my eyes.😝🙄He is now jeopardizing his job because he’s supposed to be writing the fire safety inspection report for the team and he hasn’t paid one bit of attention to any of it. He’s not 16 and shouldn’t be interrupting his boss’ meeting to chat with his mom when it’s not an emergency. The elevator scene is funny because now YiFei looks for excuses to keep the door open for her. His colleague has reason to be confused. YiFei’s jealousy that his friend is helping his assistant is priceless.🤣😂 His interjections are very similar to his buddy Cheng’s they do not go over well. He is so smooth with business chat and so uncool with his flirting lines. 😝His frustrated dance when alone in the elevator was deserved. 🤣😂 His friend again does a sweet thing with bad results. He knows his crush is hungry and orders food for her. But she’s playing live online and doesn’t appreciate the fan interruption. She has no clue he likes her and thinks he is an overzealous fan that doesn’t have boundaries. Luckily she respects her friend and doesn’t want to cause her roomie embarrassment so she agrees not to call the police this time. When he tells YiFei, he thinks it’s a joke but really has no clue what his friend has been doing or he would have given him different counsel. Like QUIT STALKING.😝Cheng has a chat with his parents and has them thinking he will be getting a promotion. When Yi Fei gets home there is a do not disturb sign in Qian Fei’s door because she is studying. Ms Fang suggests she’s been used by YiFei and she is being an ijit and believing her. He didn’t tell her to shut up but her sure didn’t tell her to soout all that at the meeting. That was in her about Wang. He has done nothing but encourage her and she wants to see through Fang’s bias. I am really annoyed with her because he has made his feelings clear about Fang from the start, but never once discouraged her from working for her. He even assisted with report to get Fang’s attention. He called her to be his assistant to take some of the heat off for her after outburst and minimize the ostracizing the group was doing with her. If she would just read the room it’s pretty damn clear. But for now, she can’t take her idol glasses off. I still get mixed vibes from Fang. She is a hard task master and I still can’t decide if she’s trying to mentor or take advantage of smarts and then kick underling to curb. It’s only 50/50 that she would not do the latter. So now Cheng is trying a new approach….death by delivery 🤣😂 Track guy had good reason to laugh but it’s gonna cost him. His parents deserve the shock for taking his phone.😂😝 Qian Fei took up the challenge to find a solution. She left work to go to Shanlifang conference room to figure out the books. YiFei knows something is wrong but hasn’t had a chance to chat to figure out why. He should have known to check the office first. 😝Qian Fei has created a plan for them and sent to Fang. Yi Fei sees her plan but can’t figure out her change in attitude. Qian Fei has converged the work ethics of Fang and YiFei as her new armor. This will help when dealing with Wang but she is giving YiFei a huge shield and cold attitude. She has chosen to be Fang’s blade. 🙄🫣

Chengtu and Sriyada are getting married. They are running late but arrive just in time after Sriyada charmed the man they bumped cars with into forgiving them for a wedding gift.🤣Chengtu’s mom wants more jewelry and different food but the son is pretty set on the couple getting the say rather than the parents. I have not seen a Thai wedding ceremony before and it was beautiful. I especially liked the blessings from the parents. Sriyada is teased relentlessly over not being able to cook—at all. However, she wants to change this and she calls her mother in law to teach her a simple dish her husband would like. She is walked through the shopping trip and all the prep work to finish up with pork skewers. Her neighbor helps her with the sticky rice and after marinating all night she has them ready right when he wakes up. He is a bit overwhelmed from childhood memories when his family was altogether. He thinks his mom bullied her and she confessed she called to learn. Her mom has already passed, so she called her other mom that is living. She gently encourages him to be close to his mother because it is time you can’t get back when they’re gone. This was a very good introduction to meet the family and to start off Sriyada’s cooking adventure. They also include the recipe directions at the end so viewers can enjoy the dish she made. I really enjoyed the thoughtfulness of family along with the cooking tips.

At the beginning of the episode Xiu Yao and He Li have sweet couple time. After a nap she makes him bbq. He says sweet husband words and lets her know others may consider Ms Su beautiful, but that for him, no other woman existed that could outshine her. 🥰 I think he passed her exam.😁 Empress dowager and consort chat about XianKun. The consort tells her how much she believes in her master and her. There is something just a bit off with her look and immediately handing off the gift without really looking at it. She then has a chat with her son who is annoyed with reading worthless stories based in superstition. His mother teaches him with examples that superstition can be used to one’s advantage if spun correctly. Xiu Yao tells Ye Li he has to leave the capital for 4-5 days because Jin Chang is actually alive and he is gathering evidence. They learned an old Marquis’ confidante that was supposedly executed is actually nearby and handling weapon smuggling so Xiu Yao and others head out to capture him while they wait for Qin to become conscious. Ye Li proved to her uncle and consort that their master was a fake with the disappearing dragon trick. She pointed out celestial events from his time and repeated them. Her uncle wanted to know her purpose and it was that she’d promised general Wen and her mother she would clear the Ding name. She is not wavering from that objective. There is a prison scene where the consort is told to get the edict and hide it without the Empress dowager ever knowing she had it. That it implicated the Empress dowager, Marquis and Ding family. She was to keep it safe because one day it could save her. because there will be a day it saves her life iFeng the spy is happy because his girl will meet him in seven days. She had been married and she doubted his interest if he knew her past. Once that was cleared up Feng was singing in the rain happy to claim the woman he loved. Wait til he finds out she is the visiting princess. 😁 Ms Su enters a shop where they speak in code and she enters a secret room to meet with Han Mingyue. They are plotting to cause trouble between Cangbai and Dachu so the peace talks will fail. He is jealous of her past sweetheart Prince but she says he’s her enemy. The Empress dowager is reading and handed a book of hibiscus poems. When the words on a leaf are read she wants it shut. and when another was passing her the poems about hibiscus, she demanded it to be shut. The consort chats with the Empress dowager and the reminisce about less happy days when the Empress mistreated them. XianKun rescued her and introduced her to Empress dowager and assured the consort that if she stayed by her side, her life would be happy and blessed. She asked about Empress Dowager’s childhood name and it is Furong. (Hibiscus) She leans in the Empress dowager and what should be a touching scene doesn’t feel like it. The Empress dowager told her to leave the past in the past and that the way things are now is the present and future. In the preview they have set up the princess and Ye Li. It is so obvious the dagger is placed in Ye Li’s hand.😝😡

One surprising thing this episode was Ms Liao’s opinion of account discrepancy being brought to light at project meeting. She was all for improprieties being taken care of before she took over company. She had a very different outlook than her dad and a surprisingly good opinion of Qian Fei’s capabilities. She has read the room far more correctly than her bf because he bought into the rumor her dad shared and believes Qian Fei would be that petty professionally. Her abrupt exposure of his work faults does make his case to go there, but they had dated for years and had wedding plans. His only grief with her was her never ending acts of kindness. He should recognize bs when he hears it where she’s concerned.😝 I am not sure if her colleague tried to set her up when sending her to find three harder to get meds. He hollered at her because he knew they were expecting it. It is kinda funny that Ms Fang knew where the sushi came from and jumped to her own conclusions about Qian Fei. I’m disappointed in her character because I didn’t think she was so shallow a mentor/boss. 😝 I think YiFei got a kick out of her enjoyment and laughed internally when her mouth is overstuffed with food denying hunger.🤣😂 It is fun watching them bargain over chores. He gets out of the dishes to be the driver. Ms Fang is also noting that. Her bias has to be because of the photo, but if she’s not checking up on everybody, she should keep her nose out of Qian Fei’s business. She was the only one for both reports that had anything valid to say.😝🙄 I might have to call gamer guy the failure to launch son.🤣😂He gets woke up by security guard with chocolate smears on his face and told no longer welcome in the building without an appointment. Even his mom has heard about his banishment from a relative on cleaning staff. He already has a solution by volunteering to check fire safety in their building. Fortunately for Qian Fei’s friend, he’s not on her floor. He looked so crestfallen as he watched her take inspection group while he had to continue up. He needs to stop listening to YiFei because he’s getting all the wrong advice. Qian Fein found in her studies that YiFei worked out some data that was used as a model for teaching. She is surprised and he gained some cool points for that. Which he immediately tossed away with his taunt to her pretending to be adding data. 😂 I think Mr Liao has the right estimation of her daughter’s new bf. He is putting on the pretense of providing opportunities and pointed out how well Qian Fei took advantage of. Since he doesn’t know her, he spread the rumor she used any means necessary to show up somebody rather than due diligence from hard work. I think if he realized all the debt Wang left Qian Fei, he would have bought him a one way ticket to anywhere else on the planet to be gone. 😝Yi Fei needs to give Qian Fei a real job and not this crap that makes Ms Fang keep judging her. 😝🙄Yi Fei was having to do some damage control to get his company back into better graces. Here is rich boy attitude serves him well.
