KJ2025 Qian Fei was given her orders for the meeting. To talk as little as possible and to listen and learn. She would have been fine with that but to see Ms Liao and her ex walk in the room was a bit overwhelming for her. He was as shocked as she was. Unfortunately a colleague told her to toast Mr Wang. YiFei to,d her she didn’t have to, but she was determined to get it all over with. She not only toasted him but Ms Liao. Ms Fang was very unhappy and YiFei tried to bail her out by presenting tea toasts since still working. Qian Fei would not listen and downed three glasses. She then started off the meeting questioning why their accounts didn’t match up and did Mr Wang have an answer. Here Yi Fei again tries to bail her out and said it was all to be discussed at the meeting after the meal anyways. Ms Fang further points it to his company and that Qian Fei was working for him. In another scene gamer friend is waiting for the receptionist to get off work so he can eat with her. He is so extra and not in a good way. He doesn’t have mean intent at all but his actions come across as aggressive and stalker ish. He has waited half the day and now that it’s almost time for him to get noticed and share food, a security guard shows his pic to her and says she can exit the back door instead of he bothered her…so she did and should have. I can’t sympathize with him when he acts the way he does and can’t say lack of experience excuses him. Qian Fei is loudly yelled at by Ms Fang and rescued by Yi Fei. She did not start her OCD cleaning thing til she was meeting with them after a chat with a colleague. Maybe this is her de stresser for things that makes her ill at ease. Yi Fei is not as smooth as he fancies himself but did get the girl anyways lol So no Qian Fei is his assistant at work and he is her ‘master’ at home. 🤣😂 He took great joy with reminding her. 🤣 When cornered about knowing her ex would be there he challenged her if she would have worked so hard to get on Ms Fang’s team had she known. He told her work should matter more because it never disappointed. 🤣 Her ex and Ms Liao were cozy and they shared words personally and professionally. She has to accept that the fond memories of him with her would be traits he would now give others. She is not as over him as she says, but maybe this push will steel her up with dealing with him at the office. Qian Fei’s friends treat her to a meal and her friend uses the same argument YiFei did. She can take it better from this source and she finally gets to hear about their engagement. Yi Fei finds dinner in the fridge and he even checks with her if she’s eaten. He gleefully heats it up while she’s out with friends. Qian Fei mentioned to her friend that his company accounts are being viewed and she noted they did not look good. She also encouraged him that if they were kept by the hotel anyways, that meant they were valued. Qian Fei deserves a good day, but her temper has her on bad footing now with everybody but YiFei. He won’t mind this situation nearly as much as she will. I’m glad this encounter is over with and story can move along rather than the drama.

Ms Fang has rehired Qian Fei but wants her to be gopher rather than investigator. She is welcomed back by her colleagues that liked her doing the bulk of the work and mean girl already making a scene that Qian Fei uses people to get ahead. As if.😝🙄 Yi Fei has pretended contract to get a grown up bed. 🤣 Gamer friend wants a date with his favorite bartender but is misunderstood that he likes Qian Fei and wants back up from the best friends. Qian Fei’s closet. 🤣😂The only outfit her friend found suitable was gifted to her. 🤣😂 It was highly recommended to get rid of Barbie and dragonfruit colors. 😂 She thinks her friend is referring to YiFei who pretends to be slighted when proven innocent. Qian Fei goes very casually and YiFei needs to toss the leather.🤣😂 Her engaged friend keeps getting warned that she should tell Qian Fei her ex is also working on the project but she keeps putting it off and thinks she can smooth things over with Qian Fei easily. At the double date, gamer friend finds out his idol is the girl he has a crush on. He is too extra being grabby with phones and arms. He is a decent guy but he really doesn’t respect boundaries where women are concerned and he should be glad police weren’t called. He makes a big scene outside and she agrees to go with him to shut him up.😝The other two are left at the table and Qian Fei wants YiFei to move out. She has a valid point but the timing after everything he’s done for her was not good. He has a right to feel used and offended. He points out he doesn’t have the funds and she changes tactics after he showed her his accounts. I can’t wait to see her plans of teaching him budgeting 101 to get him out ASAP.🤣 He realizes he sees her as pretty and that his buddy who’s been teasing him for days about liking her is being proved right. Next episode Qian Fei finds out about her ex and blasts her friends that knew about it. YiFei bargains with Ms Fang to have Qian Fei tagged as his assistant with her blessing. I want Qian Fei to get some recognition that isn’t her being a whistleblower for other’s missteps. It’s still a fun watch. The couples are cute and the story flows nicely.

The Marquis asks Qin to kill the official in jail. He tells him a kind story and the poor kid believes it all. He did sneak in and kill the prisoner , but the Marquis’ guard killed him. He was left by a wall like garbage covered with a cloth. His ‘only’ son heard what his father said and tried to warn Qin. He was spalled at what his father did. What is surprising is that there is a heart in there that can express true concern. Ye Li gets called away after her shop closes and ends up being part of a fight in the brothel. Her assassin guard refuses to leave her til he repays two lives. I actually like him and hope he has a good end in this story in spite of his area of expertise. The Empress Dowager and her guard are discussing the Marquis. She tells her guard that killing his own son meant he was beyond redemption. He comes and admits fault for his misdeeds but it’s wrongdoing groveling repeat too many times. Her let bygones be bygones doesn’t go over well with him. It seems he saw this son as a last remnant of east palace and chose to cut ties—permanently. What disgusts me most about him is he tries to absolve himself from the actual deeds by having others do his dirty work. A Marquis should have military experience and he did not challenge the Cangbai general, he lets his son get blood on his hands because he is not the ‘only’ son. He has such a trail of blood and corruption claiming every last bit was for his Empress dowager. 😝He knows how to work the court system and how to shut up enemies, but he didn’t watch over his own house and that’s going to finish him off. Su Zuidi has infiltrated the palace. Whether serving the princess or trying to gain feelings from Prince Ding is still to be determined.🧐 The story the Prince recounted and the story the steward told Ye Li are polar about the status of her family members. They are low key but have homes and jobs so she is lying through her teeth and Ye Li well aware. Her motives will hopefully show soon to get her out of their home. That box of letters is a Pandora’s box Xiu Yao wants to look through. He even browsed the outer envelopes but has yet to read them. I also wonder if Ning read them before sending them over. I think she still wants help from Ye Li to find JingLi and hoping these are clues. Xiu Yao was angry at her late return and they had an adult disagreement. He told her why he was grieved and she responded directly to his misgivings. The end result was marriage consummation. 🥰🤣 The next day when he woke with her gone, she had left him a note as to her whereabouts. Mutual respect goes a long way to keep trust and peace in the home. The episode ends with her memory of trying to see the Prince after he rescued her. She went to the location where he was supposed to be and nobody was there. She stops reminiscing to see her smiling husband heading her way. I truly love how he meets her eye level when she is seated. He is every bit the adoring husband before her. With that said I liked his teasing answer to her question. 🤣😂 They enter her shop as the episode ends. Preview shows Su Zuidi repaying the drunkard and Marquis’ miscreant son asking dear old dad if he is next on the kill roster. Long wait til tomorrow. 😭

YiFei messed up scaring QianFei and grabbing the wheel. It isn’t surprising they went off-road. After the scary stories they went for exercising to keep warm. Old man therapy🤣😂 They play like kids and go back in car to sleep. They get rescued by a local farmer and when driving to station Qian Fei gets email with the data they needed. Their bit of kindness was rewarded. She heads home to study data and YiFei is tricked into thinks his dad hurt. He goes home to find his dad had a barely sprained ankle.😝 He is talked into lunch and chided for being so quiet. He reminds Yi Fein reminds his dad he was just following dad’s rules. Father and son chats about business and YiFei makes it clear he wants to make his own company. He is also told Liao is trying to poach his sr staff. Yi Fei learns his dad keeps tabs on his son to be sure he’s doing ok. And then it’s about getting married. His dad is glad the model is out of the picture and he wants YiFei to find a nice girl to have a family with. The scene shifts to the bday banquet and this father wanted to know why the dishes were similar. His daughter has meticulously chosen them for him. Her new bf presents the dad with a golf glove. It is clear he has no clue what he gave when asked why only one.😝🙄While daughter is off making more arrangements dad brings bf aside and gives him a chat about sincerity. This guy, I think there might be a spine in him somewhere, but I fail to see what he offers that had two intelligent capable women fall in love with him. 🧐 So when gf is congratulating him on how well her father thinks of him and is giving him a special project he has to wonder what’s up. His gf thinks she has dad so wrapped around her finger that he agrees with every decision she makes. It is looking like bf will be good candidate for fall guy. Yi Fei snags some tea from his dad and heads back to apartment. There he saw that Qian Fei made some white mushroom soup as a comforting dish to strengthen him as he watched over his dad. He is touched by the gesture and is not telling her his dad’s a big faker. While she’s taking a break from working on her report he helps himself to her fried rice and then polishes her report. He considered that recompense for the meal. He is funny demanding tea eggs. I looked up da hong pao tea because I’m not very knowledgeable about tea. The mother plant is centuries old and it’s known for being one of the most expensive teas in the world. Qian Fei is a foodie and wanted to know if it was the real thing and of course YiFei acknowledged it with his sleepy grumpy voice.🤣😂 It is cute and funny that both want pictures with the tea eggs. 🤣 Ms Fang, I am not sure what I think of her. She thinks she is blackmailing YiFei for her sake and he accepts she won’t hire Qian Fei without freedom from Liao backlash. when he is willing to throw his company under the bus to protect her. I think he wants Qian Fei to really see the people she wants to work for and leave of her own volition. Funny how Ms Fang was willing to get Qian Fei on board when she was assured she’d get no backlash for finding the fraudulent accounts. She is hardly a worthy mentor.😝That is why mean girl office worker thinks she can get her own way. Ms Fang won’t rock the boat to do the right thing. 😝 Qian Fei is getting the call she’s been wanting but I’m not looking forward to how this will pan out for her.

The visiting princess is spy Feng’s penpal. She snuck out to visit him and had a decoy in the carriage. The Marquis had Prince Ding part of banquet to have him wait at the gate extra hours by giving them the wrong time and having him confronted by the general that injured his leg. Home team is making a bad impression. The scholar is an arrogant ass and Ye Li pretty straightforwardly said as much. The princess is amused by her and Empress Dowager was pleased with her words. The visiting general wants martial arts challenges and kicking the behinds of home team. The first deserved it as he was a braggart of his military prowess looking down on Xiu Yao. I was glad the general told him he wasn’t half the fighter his father was. The second didn’t fare much better. An emergency letter arrives that Cangbai colluded with Zhang HengYuan to try to kill Zhong Xingtong for the Marquis.The Emperor tells the prince to wait and speak with him. It looks like next episode Ye Li will put General in his place and Prince Ding will finally get to kick some ass. His wife will be quite proud.

Yi Fei gets to see the same graphs from Qian Fei’s report. Ms Fang changed it up by wanting his company to sign a contract of responsibility. This would leave his firm holding the bag for anything inappropriately handled in accounting. She is hoping to out fraudulent party, win the account and have Yi Fei’s company out entirely by being the investigate party. I wonder how far the history goes with Fang and YiFei. They both are well aware of each other’s tactics and dislike each other. Qian Fei was told she didn’t measure up to be on her team and could get a bonus for providing data. Qian Fei didn’t except payment and plans to head to Chengdu to find more data. I thought YiFei was faking it to get out of meeting early. I guess he wasn’t.🤣 His assistant deserves a raise.🤣 He also heads to Chengdu. Records at the company didn’t go anywhere as all parties concerned resigned. They found one employee but he was not interested in getting involved. They did help with the boys a bit and softened the dad up to them, but they are returning with nothing new to add. YiFei is telling ghost stories as they drive along and the episode ends. I wonder if Ms Fang has OCD where she has to wash her hands a certain number of times and germaphobic. She seems fickle about her treatment of people and I really don’t want her as Qian Fei’s boss. She is more like a what have you done for me today type of boss and she has too good a work ethic to settle for that. Plus she would still have mean girl and uncle to deal with. I like that he left business class to give her study notes. Waiting for her to choose to work with him. He will have to start a workout regimen to offset her cooking skills.😂🤣 Gamer friend is claiming he has a gf now. His parents are all kinds of nosy. 🤣😂 This cast interacts well to show office and family/friends dynamics. All the characters are believable with no weak links.

Yi Fei agrees to help her with her report. He first compares it to his own analysis and her report gives him a direction to work in project. Qian Fei stays up all night perfecting it with suggestions from ‘Master’. Her friend delivers it to Ms Fang’s desk but mean girl steals it. Everybody is worried about Qian Fei finding out her bf and new gf are part of the project. She is the only one that doesn’t know. The girls get together to celebrate and this gives YiFei’s gaming buddy a break. He has been nonstop texting her to get his gear back and wants to be in her team. He is now saddled with the team’s grunt work because she was guilted into it by her friends. It is kinda sad that her friend won’t say she’s engaged and show off her ring. She does not want to flaunt her relationship when everything is in flux for Qian Fei. Yi Fei guilts Qian Fei to have the guts to turn in her report herself. So she finally gets the nerve up to hand it directly to Ms Fang. Here I think she is biased due to the photo. The first part was all about work, but the word cherish goes with relationships and usually the significant other. Her attitude is much different. She does smirk that mean girl was caught with the missing report, but at least she was smart enough to not try to pass it off as her own work. She just wanted to bury it. Ms Fang passes out Qian Fei’s report as a model for her team to get with it. Here I have misgivings about her. She is completely honest about where the report came from but rather snide about her getting laid off. This does not sound like the supervisor that wanted her on her team. Something is off. The end of the show has a board meeting where she and YiFei are part of the group and maybe we will see why he really dislikes Ms Fang. I am enjoying the interactions between the leads but I really want them to start moving Qian Fei’s character along. She is finally making progress but she needs moved past the company that fired her. There was a touching moment when they shared memories about family until Qian Fei passes out. He totes her to bed and tucks her in wondering how she can be there and then gone just like that. Haha the friend’s mom was the evil gma on Her Blaze. It is fun seeing her be a stern but much warmer character than the ice queen from last drama. I like the cast but want the business side to move faster.

The young assassin fought well but there were just too many combatants. As he passes out, another takes over. I wasn’t happy with how the fighting was shown until I learned this was Ye Li’s view of the battle. She gets the assassin to her friend for help but is caught out of the palace by Xiu Yao’s guard. The prince monitors her but goes on to the palace without saying anything. When he arrives, she is calmly sitting in her chair welcoming him home. Both of them taking turns pretending sleep.😂🙄 When the assassin wakes up he is questioned because Ye Li saw master Zhu rescue them. What he saw was her kicking ass as a sword master. This time we see the fight with clarity and Ye Li was awesome. 👏🏻This court session was the first time XiuYao revealed his naïveté in how the court truly operates. He is 100% driven to fight injustice but did not see the big picture of how a ruler views insurrection. Here the Marquis understood that ridding the capital of any rebels with attitude was the real objective. So when he used any means necessary, he was following the spirit of their command even if he benefited by handling those he had grudges against simultaneously. Both Empress Dowager and Emperor sided with the Marquis and reminded the prince it was out of his purview and he was to stick with investigation. He was soundly slapped verbally and told to mind his own business in surround sound. Xiu Yao is in a pouty mood because Ye Li has declined going out with him. His spy friend tells him a story of a woman he’s been corresponding with getting ready to arrive to visit. He points out Ye Li to Prince and teases about her not wanting out. Xiu Yao sees her outside feeding a dog and decides to follow her. What he learned was a surprise. She was making the rounds repaying the debts caused by those who tried to help Lishan. The last was his prison hire who sold his family estate and went to great length to scrape together every cent he could to help the Lishan families. The assassin has himself hired in her shop and she wants him gone. 😂He passes her a note from her physician friend and then she tells the steward to send him away.🤣😂 He somehow had both parts of her family jade and when he returned them she only accepted one. She told him to toss the other. Xiu Yao told Ye Li that a funeral was planned for JingLi even tho it was pretty clear he wasn’t really dead. This would be the official word from the palace to prevent rumors and keep things as low key as possible. The Marquis was given the job of planning a banquet for an arriving princess and he surprisingly asks for Xiu Yao to assist. This surprised both Empress dowager and son but they agreed. That night Xiu Yao wanted to offer a pet to his wife but she refused. We were just about to get the story of her bird when the episode ended. The cast continues to deliver excellent character portrayals and you are sucked into the story and captivated by the events. The production team gives us the view from Ye Li and what really occurs. The fight scenes are well done.👏🏻

🤣😂 The face mask scare was hilarious. And that rip off the face.😂🤣 Thanks to Yi Fei overloading the circuit Qian Fei comes home to a dark house. After fixing the breaker an electrician shows up because YiFei is definitely not Mr fixit. 🤣😂 She shows him how to turn breakers back on and where all the shut off valves are for appliances and water. He may or may not remember it all.😂 She works very hard to get a report ready to show her old boss and has her friend check it out. She told her she should check with a professional to see how it stacks up. Her friend gets a very cute proposal after trying to make her bf eat the ring box.😂🤣 ‘so that’s the finger it goes on.’😂🤣 These two are very sweet. 🥰 She is a top notch friend with good advice. I really dislike her willingness to make a scene when she’s lost her temper, but her sweetness in everything else balances it out. The conversation segued to mothers’ passing and that was an unexpected commonality for both of them. Qian Fei’s father sent her a picture album of all her growing up pictures and she finally fesses up that she broke up. Her dad is very understanding and just wants her to be happy. At work YiFei finds a bunch of discrepancies but knows his work partner wants him to get the backlash and her the credit. He is still deciding how to deal with the head leader of the project that will indeed take offense at the findings. Mean girl and uncle leave work and mean girl just has to circle back and make Qian Fei doubt herself. YiFei is funny knowing something is up with free dinner and finally has Qian Fei fessing up to the favor when episode ends. It seems from preview her work is not wanted by Ms Fang because she thinks Qian Fei cheated on her bf. As if. 😝After Qian Fei’s happy wife to be speech she seems to see her as a hypocrite but she really should have asked about it rather than just assume. It was so out of character that she should have wondered. 😝 YiFei tucking her in and getting his door upgraded. Bit by bit he is helping her out but acting arrogant to distract her from the kindness. I hope that Ms Fang does fail her because with mean girl and uncle to block her, even Ms Fang lacks the clout to shield her. YiFei has a much better shield for her, she just doesn’t have a clue about it yet. The cherry on top would be showing the fraud of the company her ex bf now works for. Waiting for next episode to see how things play out. I am liking how the actors interact and how the story is unfolding. It is both fun and endearing when least expected with family and friendship dynamics.

This episode has Yi Fei looking out for his gf soon ex. He makes sure she has funds to get a place if things don’t work out in Milan. Qian Fei is learning that front desk work will take more time to get worked up. She can take a huge pay cut or sign waivers that she will not get married or have children for five years. 😝🙄😬Yi Fei is seeing her struggle and offers a different route for cash. He will pay for cleaning services. He made her realize that just getting a job to pay the bills was not in her best interest career wise. 😂🤣 The reaction from his friend having all his legendary gear given away. If that doesn’t encourage him to find his own place nothing will. 😂🤣He gets very drunk and finds himself tossed to the ground by his favorite bartender. Yi Fei and colleague are trying to find out why the company is making so little progress and doing data checks twice as often by having joint sponsorshi. He is wanting to know how the competition works first so he has be deep diving into their data processing and working from home til he figures out why the numbers are the way they are. Qian Fei worries about him being depressed after breakup and his responses or lack thereof are quite funny. We are shown the ex bf at his new job with his new gf amd I can only say….who cares?😝🙄 Yi Fei is trying to prove to his dad that he can thrive on his own without ‘daddy’s’ money. He is actually quite good at what he does but Qian Fei has no clue who he really is in the corporate world and values Ms Fang a lot more. He is not happy with this comparison because he finds her lacking for reasons he has not divulged yet. Since YiFei can help her fill in money gaps by maintenance on her home she is realizing she wants to go back and try to get the team job she was offered. Her old boss was not enthused with the photo so what was once a sure bet is only a 50/50 shot now. These two look after each other while simultaneously wanting to be as far from the other as possible. 😂🤣 She cooks very well and Yi Fei shamelessly begs for food and coffee pleading ignorance at providing the labor for himself. 😝🤣He has paid for the floor damage his gf caused and has stepped in to get her venue date transferred so she can get her deposit back. She still has over 25k debt on her card and this she finds more depressing than losing her bf and job. She has been so meticulous with her finances and her wannabe mother in law has caused her serious financial hurt. That is compounded by her dad using his life’s savings to get her the apartment she wanted. She still has not fessed up to her parents yet. Wait til Yi Fei’s friend finds out his bartender crush likes the same game and has some of his legendary gear. Next episode should tell us if Qian Fei has any luck getting the job with her workplace idol, Ms Famg.

Seems grumpy white knight knows cures for monthly blues. 🤣😂 They get back to find the elevator is broken and she slowly gets helped up the stairs where they learn the elevator now works.😂🤣 They find inches of water on the floor thanks to gf’s leaving the faucet on. The battle of the mops and water ensues and eventually things are on the way to drying out. Gf comes home and gives an Urkel response….did I do that? 🤣😂🙄 Things continue to go badly for Qian Fei when she misses the elevator at work. Yi Fei’s friend learns she works in the backside of things which makes Yi Fei see how capable she is when he finds out she is the reason for the arrest that shook things up. Meangirl colleague thinks she’s going to throw coffee on Qian Fei, but again grumpy white knight rescues her and gets jacket splashed instead. It is unclear why Yi Fei has such attitude with her boss but he really thinks poorly of her. A photo of him putting a seatbelt on Qian Fei makes it look like an intimate scene in his car. This results in her getting laid off. The boss knew who had stirred things up and right when she was going to set things straight she saw the photo and opted to not. Qian Fie is unaware that the boss who favored her now no longer does. Yi Fei sees her leaving the office and wants to know if he was the reason she got fired. She doesn’t think so and absolves him from guilt. I had to grin at her response to the photo. She was angry and wanted to know what happened, but she also thought she looked damn good in the photo.😂🤣It is unclear if he convinced her about what really happened. If there was cctv nearby he could prove what happened. She is at least getting severance pay and that will hopefully get her through next mortgage payment. Yi Fei’s model gf is heading to Milan and want’s Qian Fei to break up with Yi Fei for her.🙄😝She also wants her passport. Qian Fei’s parents call and want a tour of the apartment and she gets out of that for now. She also says wedding plans are postponed and doesn’t say they broke up. Yi Fei encourages her to tell her parents because things only get worse when hid. She tells him he has his own issues and doesn’t need to worry about hers. Yi Fei offers Qian Fei a job which she flat out refuses because she believes him to be in similar straits as her and does not think him a capable boss. 😂He is surprised and says fine when the time comes she will beg him. 😝He isn’t happy about the photo and thinks his dad was responsible. His dad denied it and said Yi Fei proved himself still a child not reasonably figuring things out, but running home to dad. Yi Fei finally is told about the breakup and reason. In spite of his bravado he is sad and packs up her things. Qian Fei bribes him with breakfast so gf can pick up her stuff without running into him when episode ends. I am wanting Qian Fei to have a good day. She is the only one so far that really deserves it.

Qian Fei is told by her bf how her care of him required him to return the favor. He felt he always had to counter each act of kindness with the proper response. She shares her bday cake with her friend and goes out for drinks ending up on the curb tossing her wedding/couple picture and a drunken mess. When two men try to haul her off to a bar, Li YiFei shows up to rescue her. He isn’t happy to have bad luck tossed his way yet again and lets her sleep it off in his car. She leaves a note and some cash because she thinks it’s a driver she called being nice. At work a colleague wants her to review a report and check for missing data. When Qian Fei returns it, her colleague is chatting on the phone and the supervisor knows who really did the work. Her colleague takes her badge and fortunately she can do her side job of serving at a company banquet thanks to her friend letting her in. Here again she runs into her nemesis Li YiFei. They have words and his friend is very amused and ends up paying for her phone fee. Her best friend means well and goes to bf’s place of work and makes a scene. For me, this was over the top and not the proper way to handle things. He had already resigned so the boss told her to take her argument outside. Things take an interesting turn when Li Yi Fei’s gf pays for two years rent to share Qian Fei’s apartment. This did not go over well, but due to financial strain from both sides it is agreed they can all stay there til one side or other comes up with the cash to reimburse the other. The gf spent the bulk of his money on a designer bag which she refused to part with, so Li Yi Fei finds himself without an apartment and a car which was used as collateral. Qian Fei amuses his friend when she stops him driving away and thanks him for helping her out. He is amused and texts Yi Fel back asking about the night in the car.😂🤣 This does not go over well with the gf. There is one last interaction between Qian Fei and her bf. She is returning his stuff and tells him what the apartment cost her dad. She basically wanted him to be part of her family but as she said he was too insecure and hypocritical to think that was worth his efforts. He calmly walks away from her after saying he was relieved since she wasn’t heart broken over him. 😝She was simply smart enough to cut her losses when it was clear he would never be happy with his circumstances. His mother should have had to return her lost deposit. The venue said the deposit could not be returned and she finds herself in severe pain. The reluctant white knight is again on the scene to help her get meds. 😂 Yi Fei cannot imagine his luck getting worse and cannot fathom why they continue to cross paths and knows he is cursed every time they meet. 😂🤣

Qian Fei is a very capable investment banker that prefers staying behind the scenes with set hours. She is fully invested in her relationships and sees her best move as staying where she is career wise and being happily married to the love of her life as her primary goal. She has just bought a new apartment and turned down a very promising promotion because her bf’s mom has her convinced he is proposing. All day long she has been running into Li YiFei who turns out to be from a competitor bidding on the same contract. She is getting coffee spilled or her phone trashed whenever they collide. He wasn’t particularly rude to her until he thought it was her mission to spy on him to keep him locked out of the deal. From then on it was gloves off and he was openly antagonistic towards her. As their circumstances tossed them together, they both became more annoyed with each subsequent encounter. By the end of the day both were having fights with their bf/gf. Qian Fei bought a blazer she could barely afford for her bf’s bday to have him not show up til after midnight hiding a watch from a beautiful ‘client’ and not even having the courtesy to see what she bought for him. He thinks she and his mother are trying to trap him into marriage and unlike his faithful gf, he grabs the promotion and tosses the relationship. He is not kind about it and basically blames her for pressuring him. She needs him out of her life and I think her bestie would agree. Li YiFei is watching his girl be all clingy with another guy while he waits for her in the car. He does not give her the bag and said he was picking it up for a work colleague. He likes to look well dressed and have a nice car but he seems tired of his gf’s love of designer bags. Qian Fei has been the best of gf’s with wholehearted devotion, but her day is sadly summed up with no promotion, no help paying for apartment, topped with phone and heart broken same day. Lady watch giver can have him. 😝

Chairman’s daughter in law has been quietly biding her time to get family company merged with Choiseong Group. The one thing that all parties agree on is that the son doesn’t have the fortitude or insight to be a true leader of a dept much less chairman of it all. Once son blabbed sis’ murder attempt, the sisters in law agreed to support each other with the port deal being returned to the in law’s company. With the hatred her dad has for the chairman, it’s pretty clear he wants to eventually take over both. What works against him is his greed. He had the documents altered with the Yulivia mines to half the expected output. Hwang and daughter revealed this to the Prime Minister and still almost lost the contract as well. Daughter came through with the right offer to seal the deal and make her dad proud. I did smile at the antacid left for the father in law but felt bad for the mine researcher getting beat up when he did not betray his employer. On the flight Casey revealed how she had to network via club scene because sandwiched between dad and siblings. She found a workaround that kept her knowledgeable and capable in handling business transactions in spite of them. Ms Kang breaks down learning how daughter in law and doc hubby has been keeping the chairman unconscious. She also learned how daughter in law tried to kill her husband. She collapses when daughter returns and fills her in on her father’s circumstances. This results in an upset at the board meeting where Casey threw her hat in the ring with the twins for chairman. Things are going to take an even uglier turn by the looks of the preview for next episode. This episode showed a father’s pride in his daughter. He is seeing her for who she is, not what he believed. Their sharing of the mom’s kimchi was a sweet event. Their mutual shock and anger at her murder attempt will unite the three even more. This show is doing an excellent job with company and family dynamics but It is unclear how they are going to mesh Hwang’s family and interests into the storyline.

999 cranes were supposed to buy freedom for Ye Li’s father. He wrote down what she valued most and the seer swapped envelopes. Either the father lacked courage to write anything or the seer did not give same envelope. With all the treachery, there is no way to know. Ye Li identified the maid via her mom’s gifted bracelet. The uncle did a lot of blustering and denial. He did assume authority to lock down the house and make sure the news did not leave to the authorities. There is the Lishan song playing and the instrument is supposedly haunted. What I am curious about is if it actually is or the wife playing along to get the truth about Ye family. Jingli is getting patched up and hiding out with the green eyed bandit. I like him much more as a capable villain than the libertine prince. He wants a show down with the Empress Dowager and his plans have yet to be revealed. The biggest surprise was the Gma’s role in everything. She hid or destroyed the Imperial decree under the guise of keeping her family honor. She killed Ye Li’s mom and wanted to kill Ye li. Ya gotta love mom’s wrath coming down on her murderer via lightning and the tree planted to protect Ye Li. Xiu Yao made a great deal of effort to keep Ye Li from murdering the gma. He used the one thing that would break through the spell of her mind, his pain needed her attention. 🥰 Jingli and bandit are in the Ye house and Xiu Yao is aware. He chooses to take his wife home and be rid of the lot of them for the night. He and guard are rather shocked when she gets up the next day like nothing had happened. She is running extra laps and starting her day off as usual. When she is told her gma has passed she wants to go to the funeral. The Prince and guard are shocked but she gave all the appropriate reasons, even tho nothing equated to the scene he saw the evening prior. Ms Wen accompanied her and after an onslaught of verbal abuse from the uncle she basically told him to shut the hell up, stand down and take it up with the court providing evidence. 👏🏻 This was a wonderful change from the distraught out of touch woman that was overcome with grief. Ye Li wants backup from her cowardly father but it isn’t coming. I wonder if the uncle we like is aware of the decree being with his family and the role his ‘dear’ mother played in Ye Li’s life. The episode ends with Ye Li having some words by her Gma’s memorial and next episode hints that Xiu Yao will be able to stand. It will be a long wait til next episode. 😭 The pacing of story keeps you on your toes figuring out fact from fiction, who is guilty of what, how intricately the web of collusion and deceit is woven, and how broad an area the net seems to go. I am hoping the old deceiver kept the edict as leverage for Ye ‘s rather than destroying it. I think this is why Ye Li showed up at the mourning ceremony. All these plans within plans keeps things very interesting.
