Wow. I spent this summer watching a lot. I probably watched like 1/3 of my list (or more) just this summer. hehe c: I've only watched one Jap drama before and that was Hana Kimi. Can't say I liked it. I stopped Korean dramas and started watching Taiwanese/Mainland ones because I can understand the language so it's so much easier to watch without subs. Anything Taiwanese you recommend? D: I'm kind of running out of dramas one by one :( Every day I'm refreshing the youtube search for chinese trailers.

I watched it when I was young. I would say it was a very sweet drama. There are mainly two families and they're both hilarious. At first, I didn't like Lee Da Hae acting all cute and everything, but as the drama progressed, it was sooooooo good. Oh my god. I'd definitely recommend it. Especially for Lee Dong Wook and Lee Jun Ki. ESPECIALLY LEE JUN KI, as typical second male leads go!

I saw your thread looking for a family drama and it really piqued my interest that you don't have My Girl (http://mydramalist.com/korean-drama/48/my-girl) on your lists. Have you ever watched it?

Title The Palace
It was a beautiful movie but I really disliked Chen Xiang. I found her acting a bit lacking. Chen Xiao as the thirteenth prince didn't disappoint though! It was interesting to see Zanilia taking on this evil feminine role too, since I first saw her in The Legend of Lu Zhen. It's worth the watch :D

I felt like this drama got dragged out really long but I really loved the scenes between Ye Fan and Qi Fei. They were so romantic and their story was very touching!

I was kind of disgusted by how attached he was to the unnie. I really liked his cool character. But I'm hoping to see a more romantic side to him that I didn't see in Cruel City c: Only up to ep 8.

Title Prince of Lan Ling Spoiler
So far so good, love Ariel Lin and William Feng. Just watched episode 38 and became a bit disappointed. When Xiao Dong was fired at with arrows and Xue Wu was being carried by Wen Yong to the horse, there were some flaws. The way Ariel Lin was put on the horse and how she sat on the horse one screenshot later, then how Wen Yong rode away with her when he put her in front first but later he was in front. It was just so weird. Considering that they're supposed to escape as soon as possible, they couldn't have had the time to adjust themselves constantly. Other than that I loved Xiao Dong :( I knew he was going to die, but it still brought so much pain. Hate Zheng Er. So annoying afjdslkfsd. I can't wait to see how this ends, even though the synopsis already told us all.

oops yeah Smile, You! :D fjadkf I might be disappointed in his "light" character compared to his dark character. It's usually the evil personas that lure fans in :c
On Agent X Aug 27, 2013
Title Agent X
I really liked the drama overall but there were instances in which I wanted to just drop it. Instead, I chose to skip forward because even though it's mainly an action drama, the action scenes were dragging the drama down. The only romance I really liked was between the two main leads and it was so cute when they were actually together. I felt like the ending was rushed, like they didn't know how to end it and decided that if it was going to end on a happy note, it should end there. I didn't feel closure. It just happened so fast.

He's a pretty cool actor. First found him in Our Love and now watching Agent X. Definitely an actor to look out for ^^

Title Cruel City Spoiler
Just finished the drama and I think the ending was just perfect. I was expecting a happy ending but if this drama ending with something happy, I think that would have lowered the quality of this drama. Soo Min was very important for the plot because she showed a side of Shi Hyun that we wouldn't have seen. From the beginning, Shi Hyun's acting was through the roof! I was entirely mesmerized, and I managed to finish this within 2 days. Nothing dragged on and it was at a good pace. I don't know how to end this, just that I love this drama, and one of the few masterpieces I've seen among all the dramas I've watched. I'm still hurting after seeing Shi Hyun die like that. He was such a good character, being used over and over again, and later on, didn't even get back at the person who used him. I feel so bad for him, considering how many friends he's lost. This drama is just amazing.

I just looked up Thank You and there's actually a Chinese remake of it with Liu Shi Shi in it called Happiness of an Angel (Angel's Happiness). Not really my type of drama. But I'm definitely trying out Cruel City. Interesting synopsis c:

Korean screenwriters really really really grab ahold of my heart. They have all these twists that are SOMETIMES unpredictable and everything shatters. Like I was only what, 13? when I first watched My Girl. I stayed up till 2 with my mom watching how Da Hae and Dong Wook broke up and cried to sleep. Wow, I'd never forget that day.

How about korean dramas? I prefer non-idol ones [like newbie singer turned idol dramas]. I've been stalking Song Joong Ki down these days because he's going into military :( I used to watch a bunch of Korean dramas as they came out but stopped cause Korean dramas really damage people mentally >_> Any recommendations? I go for the light funny ones and the heavy serious ones so all recommendations accept :D
