Please correct Wu Chun's role name as Lin Lang Tien, Thanks (wuchunfb.club) Also, perhaps change the main…
Considering this is a wuxia/martial arts drama, and since it's taking place "in the past", a lot of people are going to be dubbed :/
But I'm glad to see Wu Chun on the screen again ;3
The current poster was the poster that I submitted when I first created this drama page before the cast were announced... I don't know why it was changed in the first place.
And yes! With the way mainland dramas are, the broadcast date might be very delayed... (don't understand why though since most of the cast are very popular right now).
I'm hoping that since it's going to be released through Youku that people are actually not going to be dubbed and it won't be long before they start broadcasting :/ The current date on this page might be just a fill-in because it's usually not left blank?

To be fair, this is a mainland drama and names usually follow the standard dialect. Hong Kong dramas follow Hong Kong ways of naming, TW dramas follow TW ways of naming. Just because Wu Chun is not mainland, doesn't mean his mainland drama name has to change to fit according to culture. He's most likely going to be dubbed anyways.
I'm surprised "The Assassin" did really well since it was rather more artistic than typical films. I guess there were a lot of people who loved the aesthetics of it. "Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder."
Definitely a must-watch for Chinese and non-Chinese drama watchers all around! At first I only started this drama because it features another Tang Yan-Luo Jin love line, and this is one of the few (or maybe the only one?) historical non-wuxia dramas that Tang Yan acts in. I've seen her so long in modern dramas, I'm so glad she took this project, it really lets me see her in a new light.
EDIT: lol I wouldn't listen to @titi owo down there. There is no evidence that he marries 4 people. From the trailer, it's only hinting that a lot of girls like him and there are no details from baidu (chinese wiki) about him ending up with who.
I'm not usually into historical-political dramas, and I believe there's barely any romance, but there's so much history incorporated and the cast is also pretty huge.
Really nice post. After reading it, I've come to realize that Bei Wei Wei probably has the least amount of character amongst the three. A hardworking & witty student who is good at computer games doesn't really put Wei Wei in a good spotlight in terms of female characters.
However, I love all of Gu Man's novels because of how she creates 高冷男 (a guy who's usually distant from others, too hard to approach, and usually appears cold to others) and turns them into 暖男 (a guy who's sweet and "warm", a guy who would smile more often and seems more easily approachable) when they meet a girl they love. I have to say, this selling point is enough to make most females fall in love from head to toes for these fictional stories, at least for me. She even makes sure that for all her male characters, there is always some kind of flaw, whether it's some kind of medical condition or something to do with their background, just like you said. Haha, didn't even think of it before.
(For now, I can't think of a flaw for Xiao Nai because he's just too perfect to an ideal man, and probably the most perfect man Gu Man has created out of all of her novels. Then again, that book was basically all fluff and sweetness anyways, too sweet to be true ♥)
All in all, thanks for exposing Gu Man's works to MDL community, I'm really looking forward to her next work :3
I really liked it. Although it doesn't have many of the original cast members from the drama, but it's filled with veteran actors. Besides, this is like the after story of the drama version, so no conflicts.

Let's just hope the drama lives up to the hype ♥
However, I did submit a poster change. Cheers.
Gonna go find it~
Honestly, if it wasn't for the female lead... I might have a better time watching this.
And why are there people liking those reviews?

Anticipating it!
