I felt like this drama was interesting and boring at the same time. The premise was good, had great potential but the script wasn't tight and concentrated a lot on unimportant people. There were too many flashbacks and repeated scenes. There should have been more attraction between the leads. I felt like I wasn't invested in their love story. The songs during sad scenes failed to pull at the heart strings. The male actors did far better than the ladies. Male lead must have been tired carrying the show on his own. On the other hand, Jung shin hye shined in her part as a supporting. I hope the writer learned a lot and will come back in future with a solid story..... This is a drama even though I felt wasn't good, is still a drama that would be unfortunate to miss.
It's sad that the writer put in so much thought, development and personality for the ML and the FL got to be a brainless doormat with a bleeding heart. Aeng Cho's character was well written. Bo ah did really well for the Joseon scenes. Her acting skills were wasted for 13 episodes. At least she got to stretch her acting muscles for 20 minutes.
I watched the Korean remake first and couldn't follow the storyline, only found out after that it was a remake so I dropped it and checked out the original. Found the original has better flow and story telling. The remake had better production quality and better office setting compared to the original which looked like caricatures.
