In the novel, the story is very different. Xiao Yixian liked Xiao Yan, but Xiao Yan only considered her like a sister, while she had unrequited love for him. In the novel, Xun'er was assigned by her father at little age to go to the Xiao Clan to take their piece of Ancient Tou She Jade, not because of ill reasons but the Xiao Clan was declining and Gu Yuan was afraid that the Jade would fall under the hands of Hall of Souls. But Xun'er at little age only started liking Xiao Yan and later fell in love with him during their time together and she abandoned the idea of taking the jade from Xiao Family and completely devoted herself to Xiao Yan. So, she wasn't bad in the novel and never did anything wrong like in the drama. When she went to the Gu Clan, she personally sent a Fighting Saint level expert from Gu Clan to follow Xiao Yan and protect him on his travels without him knowing about it. While swallowing a Heavenly flame, iirc it was Green Lotus Earth Core Flame, Xiao Yan raped Medusa unintentionally(he was not in his senses and the flame could kill him had not Medusa assisted him), and Medusa became pregnant without their knowledge. Later Medusa always wanted to kill Xiao Yan and Xiao Yan was afraid and sorry for her, but she started having a soft heart towards him. Then being together for long, both of them developed feelings for each other, and Xiao Yan took responsibility of their child, and their child was born special and even more talented than Xiao Yan, that his master Yao Chen even admired her. Medusa and Xiao Yan married in front of the remaining Xiao Clan. He was a good husband and good father. Xun'er was a little mad in the beginning hearing about Xiao Yan and Medusa's relationship but she then understood about the whole story and accepted her. Later, when Xiao Yan came to the Gu Clan, and proved his worthiness to Gu Yuan, then Xun'er also could come, she already wanted too. And they married each other later too after Xiao Yan became the Fighting God, they already had developed boyfriend-girlfriend relationship before. And so Xiao Yan had two wives, a harem. And two children.

To be honest, in the drama, I liked Xiao Yixian a lot too, and hope that Xiao Yan and her end up together because the drama is not made in a harem kinda way and here even Xiao Yan had feelings more than brother-sister.

Also, Season2 of the drama hasn't even come out.

How come so little people commented and watched this? Maybe, the movie was not that good after all. Anyway, the drama was really good, they can't compile the whole of it in a movie.

Yeah! I have read the novel too, but making it just like the novel is not always great! According to me, the drama was quite nice! In the novels of Tian Can Tou Dou, the battles are quite repetitive and with similar sequences, and plotline also oscillates which sometimes becomes boring, that is you see similar instances again and again until the last which is truly epic.
Anime is quite good though, no doubt about that!!

Actually, the drama has a good ending, not very bad.

Just view the drama as it is, why to bring politics in it. Talking to all those who are bent on quarrelling. The drama looks good to me(I have yet to watch it though), so many real life stories and many good actors in it. I think it will may be a good watch. Regardless I am Chinese or any other person, I won't let my place of birth or regional identity hinder my reason and won't drop down to having toxic arguments. If I like the drama, I would watch it, and if I don't, I would simply drop as is the case with any other drama. I suggest others adopt this strategy too. And please don't assume anything about a drama about before watching it nor make judgements about the people or the country based on a drama. And to be honest, there is no perfect party in the world. What a person outside China may think about China, may differ from what a Chinese who has lived there and experienced everything may know and feel. So, everyone is open to have their thoughts and views, but don't go attacking any one just because the other person has a different view from you. Please avoid being hateful and speaking ill of others, I am saying this to everyone!! This is a site for everyone, and is not restricted to race, religion, politics or anything else. Hope everyone respect each other at least as much as they respect their own selves !

Are you calling that person who he met on the hill as stranger and the truck driver, that was his first experience telling the truth. After that he realised, no one would believe him when he tried with others too.

Yeah, but do you think anyone would believe him. That's the problem. At the end, if he does all that, the society will call him paranoid. So, some things are better to be left unknown to the outer world. But he can do it in another way by writing a fiction story/novel inspired by his own life, that would be better as no one would say that is right or wrong because it will come in fiction but Shi Guang's wish would be fulfilled and Chu Ying will be known by the world

Prince of tennis, I didn't like it and dropped it, was kinda typical and boring for me. Sorry! Till now , the best sports cdrama "I have seen" is HKG, I don't mean it is the best, but it is the best from the sport cdramas I have seen

Yep, the plot stopped making any sense after ep 40. And then everything got drowned. They made a happy ending episode just out of nowhere in the end because they realised, oh! we forgot sportsmanship? we forgot to give space to characters? the spirit of ping pong is missing? They knew they had messed up everything, so they tried to set things to right in ending ep. That attempt was totally illogical , not bad though. But they totally muddied a lot of the drama. So much love entanglement for Xu Tan and eventually he was single, wth!! Why did you even bring romance when it wasn't needed. They spent insane amount of time on Lei Lei, where is she now? She is just a character upon whom so many eps were wasted. And then pressuring Xu Tan as in wuxia, even more than wuxia. Made him soulless in Ep 43 and then out of nowhere......., in Ep 44 , he is like totally fine. Was totally dissatisfied with the drama. Not the whole drama though, I liked some portions in the beginning, middle and a bit of those of end. But the majority, I don't think I would recommend this drama even to the one who likes sports dramas.,

WTH, the script has turned a mess by Ep 42, Xu Tan has been pressured so much, his girlfriend broke up, his knee injury is severe and all his past pain is building up resentment. The story is taking a wrong turn and leaving a wrong message. Too much unnecessary drama is going on and nonsense. He is already no 1 , and then everyone is against him participating in WTTC in Ep 41 except Fang Yue. This is too unrealistic. Also , sportsmanship is going down the drain !! Winning is everything? What are they showing, completely spoiling the spirit of Ping Pong?
At this time, it won't be overboard to say, but Xu Tan is literally dead inside and is losing all his values!!

In a relationship, you need to be open which Siheng wasn't. Xu Tan's burden? Did she think about it before forcing it on him? Too much expectation has been placed on him. He is an athelete and he has not much time left for his career but love can wait. Unfortunate man, he got a knee problem later too. It's good that he has team members and friends and Lei Cheng who care for him

This Jia You is such a fool, first he targets YKN and now Xu Tan. He doesn't want the national team of China to win the game. What a jerk !! There are even so foolish people who deliberately want to injure their own country's national team captain.
I would not fail to believe if Jia You is found to be working for the Japanese, Koreans or some other country. Or he is just a mad guy.
