I feel you. I have been re-reading this novel every few days from May to now. I always get distracted thinking about Xianyu while reading other novels or watching dramas. You know the funny thing, I was watching Feud with my mom where bail lu revealed herself as the mastermind behind the illusion and finally talked about her son and stabbing bai jiusi , it is an angst scene but I was subconsciously browsing mdl and saw the post of investment promotion and started laughing..my mom gave me a glare like "such a heartbreaking scene, how could you laugh".

With all due respect, Feud was a good drama and I liked it. I just wanted to share how this drama release is occupying my brain, not to demean any dramas. I don't like one sided toxic romance like the female being the only one abused but if the male lead is also abused and its best if the male lead gets abused more. So, I quite liked till the end of the moon and Feud.

Guys, is it possible that YOUKU will release OG first because its reservation is higher than wdbtd. I saw in some posts OG will not be airing on CCTV and that it will be released on July 14th. Based on YOUKU's nature of one drama at a time.. wouldn't wdbtd airing time be uncertain. Another thing is, every drama has a new trailer before they start airing, OG's new trailer had come out weeks ago but wdbtd no news. I am a bit worried.

Hey, I just checked the sword rose of Dilruba from Tencent is going to be released from July 12 at 7.30 p.m. on CCTV. 7 to 8 is normally considered prime time. so can OG be still released? I heard that OG would be released on prime time. I don't see any time slot left like at 6p.m. is CD and 7.30 is sword rose so OG would be where? but even if OG is released in another CCTV channel wouldn't it compete with CD and SR for viewer's ratings, I don't know if CCTV will do that. Another thing I have noticed (correct me if I am wrong) is that CCTV releases only two big platform dramas (like from tencent, iqiyi, youku, mango etc) at the same time period with a gap between release date 4 to 5 days and some other small dramas and various national promotion materials short films and stuff.

I am going to develop a depression over this drama release. Hope it releases in July because this is the best month for it to be released and less competition with other dramas due to being different types. It will get good ratings in July and not get affected with iqiyi and tencent dramas of the same time. I hope youku management can understand this.

I hope youku can publish the release earlier like IQIYI did (16 days ago more than ago). Sudden drama drop is not good for ratings.

Yeah I had the same analysis.. now that CCTV has made its choice, this is the only slot available for WDBTD for release in Q3 otherwise after CD finishes it would be the turn of TIA and OG by then August would be over and summer break too. Love and Crown didn't have a shadow of their confirmed promotion or episode count. Although it is possible for CCTV one modern OG and costume CD. But I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying. Youku please don't be unexpected.

And I think it would be nice to have CD and WDBDT airing at the same time, they won't affect each other popularity as one is crime solving mystery serious type, the other is sweet xiania romance with a relaxing vibe. One will keep people on edge and the other would make people happy. These two dramas can have a complementary effect. After watching something brain burning people would feel like watching something that doesn't have much twist or turn.

I am so happy that there are so many people obsessed with this novel like me. Btw, last year after finishing this novel I was looking for similar novels. I am more of a novel person than drama. My choice for good romance novels are always those with the least angst, no annoying misunderstanding, plot mostly light-hearted only heavy for a few chapters and the MOST IMPORTANT( the FL can never be wronged/ feel aggrieved due to the ML and must be treated well by the ML always; no matter what kind of bad past or baggage the ML has he can't take it out on the FL like Sima Jiao never put pressure on the FL after figuring out she didn't have any malice or greed for his spiritual fire or blood and even when he did at first it was just a bit scare with truth buff pressure no actual harm, which is why I am so crazy about Xianyu ; as in many stories the FL is made to be trash-can for tragic MLs all the time as if tragic past is a free ticket to abuse the FL ) Anyways in dramas/novels I am always biased towards my own gender.

So after searching last year, although not the same but I did find two heart-warming stress free novel with good plot. If you guys are interested feel free to check them out in your free time. MTL English is good enough for these two novels.

1) Transmigrating As the Cat in the Villainous Devil Lord’s Arms

The FL here is also quite a salted fish and transmigrates into an ordinary cat and becomes the devil lord's pet. Their relationship is quite heartwarming and side characters are funny. The heavy plot is on the male lead's side like Xianyu's. The difference is probably that the female lead is pushed out to make progress by the male lead ( bc the male lead has a trauma of losing the female lead once) and she is more involved in the male lead's struggle and wants to protect him too. There is also a positive side couple where the man who was supposed to kill his wife to prove tao doesn't do that but takes his wife to fairyland.
All in all, a good plot and romance, It would be nice if it could get adopted to drama.

2) Become the beautiful, strong and tragic hero's mother who died early

This one is about a family of three healing each other. If there is a list of xiania family novels it would be my number 1 in that list. But there are not many novels with this
kind of theme. This has plenty of romance too of course the parents' romance. The story is about a young man who lost his mother going back in time 500 years ago to prevent her death. He has two things to do
i) To make his lazy cat demon mother cultivate seriously and not laze around everyday.
ii) To prevent his father and mother from getting together even if it means he won't exist in the future.
This novel seemed heavy and serious at first but it had lots of funny moments and extremely heartwarming. The parents' romance dynamic was really good. There was no stressful villain or conspiracy part, it was more about resolving misunderstanding between father and son; family bond and just fighting against the written destiny to achieve a happy ending for a family of three. Parents had a straightforward romance and no miscommunication.
This was similar to Xianyu as the cat demon mother being a lazy salted fish who only wanted to eat and bask in the sun and going against the heavenly dao to survive like the Sima Clan is supposed to perish. This is also a good material for drama adapttation.

Of course Xianyu is always my number 1 in Xiania romance
