Title The Glory Spoiler
I had a very strong dislike for this "foreign princess" arc as well. His behavior made no sense to me. I did not…
Thank you for your spoiler. It would have been nice if they at least added a small scene for that child's background in a clear way. But whatever, I will also watch with the first choice in mind otherwise it feels a bit far fetched.

Title The Glory Spoiler
Initially thought the ML was just an introvert and very shy in expressing his love. Looks like all he truly wanted…
Thanks for the spoiler. I read the novel. Honestly the novel ML wasn't that good either..in the last part of the story it showed, it kind of ended as a wishy washy romance. From the spoiler it looks like the drama made the FL much smarter and stronger but also miserable. Just because she seems like a strong wildflower who can survive in any harsh environment so the male lead calculated her worth that she deserved to be a shield to a child her husband had with another woman and serve a mother-in-law wholeheartedly whereas her own mother died a miserable death. The ML even thinks he is doing her a favor since she is in a bad situation. I am not asking for a sweet romance , but at the very least she should have a fair share of the deal, not always suffering grievances. From the plot revealed so far the ML is poisoned so he wants her to take care of his family, does that mean she will have to be widow and childless her whole life carrying his burdensome family, if she has to pay such a great price then the ML should at least come clean when he decided to marry her, help her in revenge , take her side in as a reliable ally and show some sincerity. I remember the FL was quite sincere with him when they got to know each other..it was only after the proposal and mother's death and various things happened she realised his manipulation then she became completely wary towards him. Honestly speaking with how FL is she can become a qualified noble wife in any great family and align interests to gain power then slowly take her own revenge. At least that would be fair. I don't think its wrong for FL to not be transparent and nice to ML because he doesn't deserve it. He is getting more out of this deal by paying almost nothing ( as his previous act of saving her was for getting himself scott free) and no matter the excuse of it being dark romance or whatever there is no way sugar coating the fact that the ML himself and this marriage is a huge firepit. The ML is definitely at fault. If the first reason for the FL going nuts now is the FL's villain dad then the 2nd is definitely him. It hurts the most when you thought there was someone you could trust your back when you are doing something risky but that person turns out to be the one who might stab you at anytime. I don't agree that the both the FL and ML are equally twisted and hurting each other, because the female lead was forced to be (remember when she first came back to the capital she still had some kindness and hope) but ML was a selfish jerk from the beginning ; and the ML acting hurt after everything is still going according to his plan is shows what a selfish hypocrite he is.

Thank you. I also think that marriage does not make sense. As a scheming male lead its natural to investigate his betrothed family..so he should have known that the FL who was his real fiance was sent to the countryside (I am not asking to him to bring the FL back and do justice for her due to marriage contract as they were just strangers ) but it would be reasonable if he could at least investigate the reason why his fiance was sent away, if there was any conspiracy behind changing the wedding partner and if it would bring any harm to his own family; but he just goes forward with the marriage with a concubine's daughter that doesn't even meet the standard of aristocratic society. Please let me know if you get to know any spoiler about his first marriage. Thank you very much.

Title The Glory
I don't think they'll include this character but no guarantee. The drama is short at 30 eps and barely connected…
Hi, Can you please give spoiler about the drama? Whats happening with the male lead being married? Why did he marry the FL's sister? Did the ML had a happy married life with her sister with children.. if that happened it would ruin my interest in drama

Same here..Its because of that arc that I am waiting for the drama to end before watching.. If that disgusting arc is included no matter how good the acting or plot I simply can't stomach it.. The novel just glossed over this part as if the injustice the FL suffered never happened and it made me think the ML doesn't deserve her at all.. When I was reading the novel, I simply couldn't believe that this author who has written so many amazing MLs could write this kind of plot...ugh... I hope someone could give me a spoiler when the drama ends

Does anyone know if the drama will have "foreign princess Irene" arc like the novel which ruins their engagement? Honestly speaking I found this part of the novel quiet disgusting, even though I am a fan of this author.

Novel Spoiler Next#
In the novel, the ML went to war and he came back with the princess of the defeated country on the day of the 'FL's growing up ji ceremony" and their marriage was cancelled That princess was made the new fiance of the ML; the reason being that barbaric princess has a method to supress the cold poison so the emperor and the ML agreed to that barbaric princess's request to move into his house as his to be spouse ( How ridiculous! That princess was from a defeated country and with the male lead and emperor's scheming there were many ways to make the princess give medical treatment...and the male lead thought it was a good choice as he would die and the complexity of female lead's hidden identity as the real royalty and blah blah.. ) And the worst thing is that he didn't even take that medicine because he thought he would be dependant on it like drug adddiction..so what was the point of the female lead having her engagement broken on her 15 year old ji ceremony and becoming an abandonment woman in that ancient society... later that princess even spread the rumor that she spent a night with a man outside which completely ruined her reputation making her a laughing stock..and the ML did literally nothing.. That part of novel chapters made the female lead look like a pitiful sentimental loser. Later, all of it was swept under the rug with the female lead finding about the male lead's illness and her real identity and then with her becoming sentimental unlike the strong woman she started out to be; then she took the initiative to go to the ML and plan everything to have a good ending. In the end , it was the female lead's real maternal relatives who actually solves the cold poison of the male lead and they get HE.

This is the only male lead I hated among all the novels of this author. No matter what the reason was, even if he wanted to break off the engagement due to his illness or other things, there was no need to make her a joke in society; her situation was so bad, it took a lot of effort and strategies to make her life better but with an unilateral decision from his side with no prior communication, no due respect..nothing she was pushed out like that. The worst part is that the novel just wrapped it up like it never happened. I felt that the female lead endured too much and gave too much for this relationship. Xie jin xing is a far cry ahead from this male lead as he would do everything to protect Shen Miao's reputation and never undermine her prestige in front of anyone.
