When they were kids, Mo Yi Huai saw Pan Er bully Tan Er so he saved her. And I guess she fell for him because she is jealous of the affection that Tan Er gets and she's only been able to witness this affection from that one guy hoping that her dream guy would treat her like that. I would say that this is a parallel universe and everything has been affected by the butterfly effect.

2. I think they meant her from the future as a modern person. The S1 XT is stuck in the real time world compared to MLC. People have theorised that the reflection XT saw could be her from another world calling her. Or she regains her future memories through the orb.
MLC is the reason why XT came to Dong Yue earlier than expected? He tried to prevent her from time travelling or die but it made the bad people become more aggressive to try to kill her.

We're not so sure since they're playing with us. They just added another stroke to number 2 of this season's poster. Mo Yi Huai and Tan Er are destined to die or suffer no matter what happens. Lol between 14th Prince and Jing Xin they're like those couples that will take forever to get together. It seems a bit one-sided.

MLC was willing to sacrifice his life to protect his bloodline which was why he had to interfere with everything because this world is more darker and cruel than what it was supposed to be.
The 8th Prince does not even know about XT and her relation to the soul suppressing orb. MLC has to stay close in order to protect XT from ppl going after her because she either gets killed or gets manipulated for the use of the Soul Suppressing Orb. I think MLC thinks that the 8th Prince does not have enough knowledge or power to protect XT. MLC also explained that he would not give up his family just for the sake of love and having everyone in his family encounter danger from the butterfly effect.
If you think that he should just protect her in secret and not try to get intimate with her then I've already explained that he had already lost her once and he promised to bring her back to the modern world to live peacefully again.

I wonder if the novel has a long backstory for the past. I mean we did get to see like a 3-5 minute scene for it. I literally prefer that than a draggy series for the back story lol. I think the most the backstory could do is 5 episodes long.

I think I completely missed out on the part about ppl from the Xuan Ling Word being able to get near the orb. From what I can gather, I know that the father is collaborating with them bad guys but he had such an easy death lol.
I hate the Emperor in this season he's kinda stupid, easily manipulated, and is more cruel. I rather watch the Empress Dowager from S1 being a bish than see the consort Dugu.

I also skimmed through a section of the novel and it seems like the modern plot of the novel sucks lol so I am sure they will write a new script related to S2. Not sure if they will be journeying in the modern world or fantasy/historical world.
