I'm quite convinced that the Princess isn't Xiao Tan's future self. There's no way for her to change her appearance and use a whip as a weapon.

So if the Princess falls in love with the 8th Prince, I wonder how that changes history to wipe off Xiao Tan's existence. What can that Princess do? I mean Xiao Tan will still be there but she won't die yet. The only thing is that will she be quickly killed by the bad guys without protection or is the Demon King back as this is in the past timeline? I think these rumours and theories need some supporting statements.

It's interesting that the father is actually one of the main villains in this season, he was weak as hell in S1 lol.

I guess I am right that the last 10 episodes might focus on the fantasy element. Bruh, I hate that princess in blue already.

I remember when she first came to Dong Yue in the early episodes. She also enacted some scenes of her future self and she muttered to herself saying she felt that this was was familiar like climbing the wall or saying some exact phrase to Jing Xin as S1. She can’t stop touching his chest haha.

Then who would you suggest would be the dominant person on receiving the memories? Even if they merged as one person I felt like there must be one out of the two who is more conscious that they are the original person of the body.

E.g. In S1 when MLC went to the Xuan Ling World, he took the memory gathering pill to regain his mortal world memories. At first we can see that he preferred being Lian Cheng gongzi but after receiving those memories he started to be more dominant as the mortal MLC again.

And with Xiao Tan's case, if the current her also receives her future memories I don't know if she will change as a person but she's pretty much similar to her future self.

The reason why 8 episodes were out of the first week was to give VIP viewers on the official platform Tencent to have 4 extra episodes per week compared to non-vips. So the normal rate is 4 episodes per week and VIPs get the advantage of having 4 eps ahead.

If you actually pay attention, it's all very obvious. The drama itself gave very large hints . Why do you think they always put an extra second to show that MLC is holding or hiding the fake mask in his hands? Plus why do they always place the 8th Prince in the study room? And when you see the original MLC with Xiao Tan, there's always a cue that the 8th Prince has returned to the manor especially with the horse carriage sound halting. They also put scenes where the MLC is talking in his head regarding to hiding his identity etc. Do you notice the difference in the way Xiao Tan gets treated by both guys? When MLC is Liu Shang in the manor, he always try to gather information about the 8th Prince's whereabouts before he approaches Xiao Tan. This is seen when he talks to steward Zhong in episode 5.
