I finally finished this drama and while watching I saw a lot of people say that the leads had no chemistry and I both agree and disagree. Because of the plot and the way the characters were portrayed, I think what the main couple lacked was tension. I honestly felt like there was no spark between them. But what they did deliver ( which is honestly refreshing in my opinion) was a deep and true understanding for one another. Their connection was less flashy and more “wind beneath your wings.” With constant efforts shown of them really trying to understand and be compassionate for each others feelings. Which I found enjoyable but I can definately understand why it may come off as more friendly than romantic.
The fact that the ML was able to make tree bloom meang he was still the demon lord and that whisper of MXL meant XXC soul was still in there somewhere calling out to her, but MXL was okay and still ran up to reunite with him?
I’m reading the comments and I feel so sad cause I really loooved the first 30 eps, total 12/10 but the last 5 eps were so confusing. I was left feeling like it was a sas ending for all parties, ZM and Pearl didnt get a happy ending, MXL and XXC also ultimately dont end up together and demon lord goes through all that suffering again?
