There's a show that's perfect for someone out there. It doesn't matter about the rating or popularity; it just has a special place in your heart. This is that kind of show for me. From the casting to the staff behind the scenes, it's done so well. From the beginning to the end, the show came to a full circle. I rewatched this so many times and enjoyed it (while crying) just as much. For those who read this, I hope you'll find that certain perfect show for you, too.

Title The Double
I'm impressed with the execution of the show. The whole set up feels like a play: I'm seated with the theater and watching these actors on stage. (And because the characters often say that, too.) The way the camera zooms in, the way certain parts of the show is presented, the way some characters act completely overly exaggerated but fitting to the story, some characters even sing -- it's all quite an interesting creative choice.

Title The Road to Splendor Spoiler
such an amazing drama..... truly, they are the THE LEGENDARY LOVERS🎀🎀
After all of their long years of struggles, trust, and devotion towards each other, the marriage scene is one of the most satisfying to see. (It's rare that I feel this way towards a marriage scene in period dramas since it's pretty common.)

Great role for Ding Yu Xi. Allowed him show what a fine actor he is. I'd never seen Deng En Xi in anything before.…
Couldn't word it better myself. I am now 100% a fan of Deng En Xi and is looking forward to her future projects. And I've always thought Ding Yu Xi is good. He's always so lively and animated in his roles, it makes for a fun watch. I'm so glad to finally see his abilities fully utilized in this show.

To this day, I still think New Life Begins has one of the best opening and song that really captured the serenity and beauty of daily life. It's truly fitting for a comfort show.

The small talk, the little touches, the shared meals, the things they do for each other... It's all so incredibly sweet and tender. I love this kind of slow burn.

Watched him for the first time in Road to Splendor. What a wonderful actor. He gave a lot of depth to the Crown Prince role. I can't wait to see him in more dramas!

Absolutely amazing actress. And at such a young age! Her expressions are always spot on in the 2 dramas I've watched so far. She understands how to portray her characters and know how to bring them to life. Watching her in those roles felt so natural. I seriously cannot wait to see her future projects!

A near perfect drama. It's definitely my top favorite of this year. It has a central theme and message it wished to portray. And with heart and soul, it remained grounded and focused until the end. I watched this after Melody of Golden Age, and I must say that this is a satisfying evolution to the two lead's roles. And the end of the drama is one of the most satisfying one I've seen in quite awhile. I'll be thinking about Road to Splendor for a long time.

Title Pursuit of Jade Spoiler
If overrated describe a drama that would be POJ. The lead chemistry was good but story was quite predictable.…
I watched and completed it a while ago. The more I think about it, the more I was disappointed. The writing for the drama went downhill for me after she joined the army.

This show is so detailed. And it's all revealed on screen, too. The more I think about it, the more there is to discover! Thanks for the explanation!

I just appreciate that the story never got too overly ambitious or convoluted. It was able to keep a good pace all the way to the end.

The story is so fun. Watching the main leads try to outsmart the Empress Dowager and Prince Duan was so entertaining. And the main leads involving their servants! Getting Eunich An to dress up as Xiahou Dan and standing menacingly in front of Empress Dowager while she's dying? That's next level pety and I love it!

It's exceptional! The things that the drama set up at the beginning gets paid off later in the story. Like the scene Xiahou Dan cried when he met Yu Wanyin for the first time felt over dramatic and hilarious. But later on, that scene held so much meaning for him since we learn he's been stuck in that world for years.

The death scenes for important supporting characters were done well and with respect. I find myself always worrying about the scholars and the secret guards. The lighthearted scenes were appropriately placed. The romance is mature, fun, and healthy. The writers did a good job at balancing the importance of both the leads in the story.

All in all, this was a really well made drama with an amazing cast. I can't gush enough about it!

This drama should be called How Are You? instead of How Dare You!? 😄😅
That scene is never not funny! 😄

Im up to episode 4, does the FL ever grow up and be more mature? She is so naive and ignorant, I know it’s probably…
Be patient and you'll be rewarded. She will grow in time. She's meant to know little at the beginning since she's from the countryside who was suddenly tossed into the city life. That being said, if it doesn't catch your attention, then it's probably best to move onto something else.
