girl stop lying you hate zhao lusi its not the series thats bad so dont lie just say what that you like yu shuxin…
It's so funnn literally the only shows that she has dropped are zhao lusi's shows. She even reviewed them the exact same way with the exact same score, this is so lame. Interestingly she absolutely loves to watch ester Lu's shows. Not say anything bad about her but if you want to be a hater at least be objective.
Their dating era is so cute, it feels so natural. This is why I really love dramas where they have a friendship period prior to dating (where dating isn't even in the picture, not two people who are friends but have a crush on each other, JUST friends), cause it justifies why their romance era is like this so soon.
Relationship with FL perfect? They just colleagues. That jerk has no chance with her. I can't believe people just…
Oh my god.... I'm not your enemy LOL! I'm not the ML's enemy! Connection, relationship, whatever word. You have a connection with your neighbor, with your boss, it's just a word gahhhdamn! I know she doesn't like him, but the DRAMA, NOT THE FL, THE DRAMA is setting up a romantic atmosphere, but making slo-mo clips, or doing cliche things like putting a bandaid on him.
Why are you assuming I didn't feel bad for ML? Do I mention that anywhere? WHO SAID I SUPPORT HIS ACTIONS!?!?! I just shared I liked the aura about SML, read my comment again! I don't support his actions, his actual character or anything. I just liked what the drama showed, and was disappointed that they set all of that up just from him to be SML. It'd be better off if they never showed those scenes. People are not saying he's good guy, they are saying he's handsome, and those scenes in the last 3 episodes gave us butterflies. Some are trying to understand his dynamic character, as someone potentially manipulated by his father, but that is not what my point was so no need to talk to me about that.
I know it's completely one-sided too.... I'm not stupid. Please. Like can you at least admit those were swoon-worthy scenes. If you ignore his background, and his character aside from relation with the FL, it was cute. He seems to sincerely like her, I think it's cute, I think actor is handsome, he could be ML if he wasn't made to be a shady, superficial, scum bag. Happy?
This is so real.... they are forcing second-lead syndrome, and it's got me down bad lol. I would love to see a…
I said he was scummy, shady, and superficial.... I'm not thinking highly. I like the romantic vibe between the two thats it. A rich guy falling for a girl at first site, respecting her work, agreeing to start afresh, and all the swoon-worthy moments the show is giving.
And I'm not limiting discussion to SML. The point of topic NopeNope brought up was about the drama giving ML-esqe moments to the SML, which doesn't make sense. Comments below talking about the ost, do you randomly bring up how you love the FL?! You can, I can't stop you, but that wasn't what my comment was about, so why question something I haven't addressed?
Relationship with FL perfect? They just colleagues. That jerk has no chance with her. I can't believe people just…
relationship meaning connection... you dont got relationships with family or friends? I like the connection between the two, the moments the drama is showing outside of his true character. The conversations, the way he looks at her, how he helped her from falling, like little things are making me swoon.
Don't think people who get second-lead syndrome are stupid and are now completly forgetting what kind of a person he is. We aren't stupid. We don't automatically forget what a great guy the ML is. The moments the show is setting up feels romantic, but damn me for falling for it!
Yes, It will hurt when ML and FL start dating, but not cause I wish she got with SML, but because I feel bad for him, the show set up all these moments for what reason!? Cause you think people getting the second-lead syndrome are a bunch of brainless losers, I'll tell you now that if she ended up with the SML, that would disappoint me more.
And girl... my comment was just liking the vibe between the two, the actor, I would love this plot in ANOTHER DRAMA!!!
This is so real.... they are forcing second-lead syndrome, and it's got me down bad lol. I would love to see a…
Oh not at all. I want her to end up with ML, I really like him, and love how his and the FL's relationship feels like it developed so naturally. I loved romance wasn't shoved down our throats, you could see the love from within their friendship. Just cause I'm having this second-lead syndrome doesn't mean I don't like him. Our conversation is about the SML, so I don't need to talk about ML lol.
The show is making the SML look like the ML too, so obviously I'm leaning towards him now, ESPECIALLY in the last two episodes. They literally had them have such a wonderful honest conversation about starting afresh, they had cute moments like where he saved her from falling, he was considerate of her, etc etc. It's hard to not swoon! And what is the ML doing in these two episodes? Sulking from afar when he should be the one in all those scenes instead of the SML. That's our only points.
I am upset the show is making me like the SML more now cause I know she won't end up with him. All those sweet moments for nothing. But I would be even more upset if she ended up with him instead of ML, cause of their whole story. So in the end, I will feel a little disappointed, but not that much. I just feel for SML now lol.
I'm crying. I thought I did good by waiting till episode 17 to start watching.... but that was 10 hours ago.... I'M ALL CAUGHT UP D: AND IT HAS TO BE ON A SINGLE RELEASE DAY
I can't like I really love the SML... but a really good point was made by NopeNope below, they shouldn't have done that. Nobody should question why people are getting second-lead syndrome when they are making him look so likeable and the ML is just sulking in the back. Don't get me wrong, I love the ML, he's great, but for the last two episodes, Pei Zhen has been MY MANNNNN!!! I need to see the actor in another drama with a similar vibe, even the relationship with FL is so perfect, I swear a drama exists out there with that relationship.... now to find it :(((((
I’ve seen some comments bashing Second Lead Syndrome enjoyers, and normally I’d also join in on the fun, but…
This is so real.... they are forcing second-lead syndrome, and it's got me down bad lol. I would love to see a romance with a similar direction between the FL and SML. If you ignore how scummy, shady, and superficial he really is, I love his character. How he seemed to naturally fall for her from the start, how he is actually good at his work, understands and respects the field's values, the look he gives her, ughhhhh. I also like that she gave him a second chance, to start afresh. If only he was the ML.... This is a whole nother romance of its own. They shouldn't have done all that as the SML.
I liked the show a lot. I really appreciated how for a law-show, it wasn't too heavy. The content was easy to follow, and when there were exciting twists, you could understand, making them more fun. I sometimes struggle with business or law shows when it gets to detailed where I can't really get anything other than the parts where it's preachy about ideals.
I liked the different subplots they had, each were heart-breaking, and each tested the laws in different ways. Really liked it. As cringey as the kpop bit was at times, it was a cool moment changing the constitution, reminds me of goo hara case....
Despite people not liking the cast, I liked them, most times.... I liked how they each had their moments so they were still important to the plot. It was annoying how idealistic they were, being a pro-bono lawyer in such a big firm is such a privilege, and they don't realize it. I completely understood Jun U's character, wish he didn't get pressed by his team so often. I appreciated though, that when they were preachy, ML came in and said exactly what should have been said. And it did allow the other characters to think, especially FL, at times.
One character that upset me was Nan Hui's. She was made to be annoying, which I don't respect. There was great potential, a human-rights activist, who doesn't discriminate. Perfect for a pro-bono lawyer, but she was just angry the entire time? It feels like she is supposed to be the stereotypical blue-haired white lesbian girl with bipolar disorder, depression, etc. who is extremely woke, but this is Korea, so they couldn't go there. So much potential man.... and her best part was being a KPOP FAN?!? You're kidding me... At least there was character development, trust!
People seem annoyed with them not trusting the ML, but I didn't mind it, cause you could clearly see the trust building in them throughout. What I didn't get is why in the beginning though... cause they didn't even know the guy, and he still proved himself every case? Eh.... all's well that ends well!
I still think you should watch this. I'm glad I did! I've been in a romance rut, where I quite literally CANNOT FINISH A SINGLE ROMACNE SHOW I WATCH DESPITE LOVING THEM....but no issue with this one. I feel like a season 2 would be wonderful for this show, but even without it wraps up well.
i feel the same re. the pro bono team. They doubted him everytime there's a slight deviation from David, they…
I agree with this point, but I believe the ML argued their idealist mindsets many times and at least it had the FL thinking. The one that pissed me off the point was it's okay to lose.... like I get in the sense that you make way for future people to have a better starting point when arguing their cases, but for the people are currently fighting, you give them hope just to say it's for the plot of the world :DDD
So with the kid in a wheelchair's case...did they completely forget that the hospital is forcing unwanted pregnancies…
Exactly! This stood out to me. It was completely swept under the rug. Sure, it is a cruel thing to argue that it would've been better off to abort this talented child, but you could still argue abortion separately from this point. The guy adopting her and her son was such a weird ending to me, it's like the show wanted to push out the box, but they got stuck at the line.
