I finished episode 6 and I am confused about why people hate the ML... He was so kind and patient with her (because he loved her of course), and helped her in an extremely low moment in episode 3. He didn't push to ask her about what happened, just stayed with her as she wanted. In episode 5 (which was so sweet), both of them were taking advantage of each other being there, trying to reenact their normal life they had. That ain't right, they need to heal separately before getting together. However despite the fact they shouldn't be together, he has done so much for her even after being broken up, splitting their lines (I'm sorry, but how has she not known this at all? Does she not work on the scripts?)
People are saying he mistreated her, how? When? Staying together for 8 years when he didn't want to get married? If he is guilty in that, then so it Eun Ho. He told her from the start that he will not, and she stayed hoping he will change his mind. I'm sure he made it clear to her many times down the road. People can stay together forever and never marry (I'm personally not one for it, but it's normal, marriage is but a title when you are a couple).
When he left cause one of his grandma's hurt herself, I was annoyed by that whole situation. The problem has nothing to do with their mental health, but the fact that they didn't communicate. Because they didn't communicate, then it lead to the trap that is their mental health. Eun Ho saw him leaving just like that and was reminded how easily he can leave. She wanted to be secure in herself and basically ended it with a smile like he did 4 years ago. If he just said, someone important to him got injured, I'd hope she'd understand...
Has he not ever told her about his past/living situation? If he hasn't, it makes sense why it would be hard to say in that moment. But why couldn't he? In 8 years, you never wanted to tell her about your past.. Bro, it ain't that deep. At least a quarter of the people I know are missing a parent in their life. He lived a better life than so many in his situation, so what you lost 2 parents, you gained 5 who were 10x better! It's giving self-pity, victim mentality.
Another communication issue... I can understand her issue with him sacrificing the 9am news for her, like fr why? You broke up. It is very likely his pity. However, she did not let him speak, AT ALL. Like at least hear him out. IDK what his reason is, maybe it is out of love, but let him say something.
I'm intrigued by all the characters, I especially like Baek Hye Yeon.
Okay I just watched 2 episodes and I have a couple questions. I think they might be answered in future episodes but I wanna know now.
- When does she sleep? If Eun Ho wakes up at 4am and Hyeri wakes up at 4pm, when do they go back to sleep. Am I crazy or do I miss the text that says the time they go to sleep. I'm assuming its 12pm and 12am so that she gets a perfect 8 hours of sleep, perfect for her systematic life.
- When she goes on weekend trips, so she's filming at night, does Hyeri not go to work? Does Hyeri not have to report she will be late? Does she get told off about missing work? Is it a weekend, and Hyeri doesn't work on weekends? Does Eun Ho never go out late night so she doesn't disturb her life unknowingly?
- Do Hyeri and Eun Ho use the same phone? I'm sure there is proof of each other's existence in that phone. Maybe she's too busy to use it as Eun Ho and doesn't need it as Hyeri...? They showed Eun Ho putting her phone down, I wonder if it was for a reason.
- Eun Ho has DID, but Hyeri is the only one with the diagnosis? The therapist/psychiastrist only meets with Hyeri? That doesn't seem right? Who booked the appointments with her and what is she supposed to be meeting for? We discover this later right?
- Is the person calling Hyeon O oppa without getting that nasty ass stare his actual sister?
- When Hyeon O and Eun Ho dated, she never had DID right? He is seeing it for the first time?
- Is Eun Ho actually a popular announcer? Does her morning show have the top views? If so among what? Other morning shows? The broadcasting channels's own shows? Is Hyeon O more popular than her? But in the first episode don't they say that he will get his own show next season or whatever they called it? I can see she is not well liked, why? I haven't seen anything yet that makes her annoying to work with? Yeah in episode one she had that revenge moment, but I thought that was a one-time thing, she's normally professional, right?
I'm enjoying the show far, I see why people like the SML, it is cute and I get the feeling he needs her. I personally though really dislike it when FLs don't like nice guys. Like you're upset about him helpin someone else, that says a lot about you as a person. I haven't seen the show but I feel like its the idea that there doesn't NEED to be a remake. You know how Disney keeps trying to do live action of movies. Like why? It was fine animated. Like they are making a live action of Moana when the original came out less than 10 years ago!! I do love some remakes cause I get to see the drama I love over again but slightly different, like I've seen every version of you are my destiny (there are five btw!! Taiwan original, Korean, Thai, Japanese, Chinese).
Most remakes are never better than original, some are much WORSE. Remakes that happen in different countries are usually to adapt the story to fit in the different cultures, feel more to home while they maintain the true essence of story. They can also be simply a cashgrab; they saw the success of the OG with fans from their country and want to get on that ship. And when they want a cashgrab, they remake the story poorly . When that happens fans feel the beautiful original story was misrepresented and the remake tarnishes the reputation of the original. People are bound to compare, and it should be! If you wanna take our story, you better do it right!
But if they have a problem with a remake being done badly, they can have a simple solution. Not watch it :DD People shouldn't judge on this show with only two episodes out even if the first two aren't that great.
