Yal having qualms about how they're dumming Jiang Ci... I wouldn't say she's dumb now. Her shifu is here, someone she was missing for a long time. People got in the way of them meeting, tricked her, trapped her so she couldn't meet her. Her heart is longing for her master, so maybe she is thinking with her emotions, but its hard not to. She knows in the palace there are many people who are against her.
She found out episode 32 that the emperor is potentially one of the people who is a threat to her shifu. When she sees her shifu go into the palace this episode to save her, she's worried. I know she was escaping, she could have just continued on and waited for her outside the palace. However, she knows the palace is dangerous place for her shifu and was terrified of what would happen. AND SHE WAS RIGHT! She didn't know exactly what would happen (she doesn't know about the ruse), but she knew in her gut something might happen. The palace would be in chaos if they found of Jiang Ci ran away and they would suspect her shifu (as more people now know she is one of the Yan sisters). It would worsen the chances of her shifu getting out of the palace to Jiang Ci as the whole place would be on lockdown.
It's really not that simple. Jiang Ci has only so many things she can do in her position. She is in a far worse place than she was before so she doesn't have to freedom to help anyone or herself. She is distrustful now, AND RIGHTFULLY SO, as people keep hiding things, forcing her to do things she doesn't want.
I ALSO FEEL BAD FOR WEI ZHAO DON'T GET ME WRONG... After this episode he must feel so trapped by his goal and his emotions. I also wish Jiang Ci would be calm and try to understand him, but she really can't trust him. The plot keeps forcing him to leave out information about her shifu, it's creating bigger distance between them. I'm worried with 7 episodes left, how will they close it!?!
I'm interested but I cannot be waiting everyday like I do for this drama! I'mma hold out for now xd I am worried abut the plot though, cause people love the leads chem and they're all so beautiful when its inconvenient lol but I'm wondering if the story and characters will be good.
The top two are also my top two. I’m actually currently on the third rewatch of reset. It’s so good, it’s not too long and you’re engaged the entire time. Interesting plot, everything has a reason, great acting. The double is one of my favourite cdramas. One of the best FLs, a little bit of a Mary sue but gets lots of help from ML who is green flag, also interesting plot with great acting, leads had such great chemistry.

Literally! Like I get how some dramas make FLs like children, or dumb as hell.. but Jiang Ci is one of the best FLs I’ve seen. I guess maybe they want a Mary Sue who for some reason knows everything and knows what to do for every situation. Jiang Ci, my poor girl, is trying her best in her unfortunate circumstance, heart of gold still shining through, helping those who need it, despite being in a situation she didn’t ask to be in.

But tell me how was she supposed to know. How is Jiang Ci supposed to know? You can easily judge as the omniscient viewer, but she is only let in on so much. She is fighting for what she can see. Even Pei yan himself doesn't even know who the guy he kidnapped really is, just who is supposed to be. He doesn't know Wei Zhao's past, nor his goal. So if Pei yan himself can figure it out, how is Jiang Ci supposed to. Only episode 9/10, I forget, does she see these people who are fighting with Wei Zhao. If such old kind people fight for him, his cause must truly be bigger than a random kidnapped guy.
So when they brought Jiang Ci and her master back from Yueluo, did they know who her master was? Did they bring her back as her master or as one of the Yan sisters? Why does everyone know one of the Yan sisters is back. When did they find this out?
