I watched the donghua after reading the novel, and I tell you - it hits different. The donghua is perfect imo, the animation, the music, the characters, the humour, the chemistry ... But only after finishing the novel one can really appreciate this animation ... About the drama - I have my hopes and worries tbh I love the cast, but I'm afraid of the CGI and stuff ... I really really hope, they don't mess up. Ie Ghost City - I hope, they will take Yin-Yang-Master as example for this, or Rouye and E-Ming ... ngl I'm super curious for the outcome!

Oh yes, it does! There's so much pain and suffering, melancholy and nostalgia, betrayal and misunderstandings ... I'm at Chapter 149 rn and I didn't cry as much as while reading 2ha yet, BUT all the feelings are stuffed in my chest and I can really feel their weight. It doesn't get lighter, even when there are funny and fluffy moments, that make me laugh. Actually, I wouldn't say, that this novel is full of knives, instead there are lots and lots of thorn vines and every thorn is equipped with slow poison and barbs.

Everyone here being traumatised by wontons and stairs, but I'm tired of bawling my eyes out because of flowers. Like, I liked flowers, but since I started reading danmei they just make me cry. It's a thing in this genres, isn't it? T_T
