I’m up to episode 12.. the mother is very intrusive .. I kept thinking she really needs to get a job or some friends to focus on. The amount of chaos she causes her daughter was getting to me. “however” I see that the daughter knows how to handle her for the most part understands and loves her ..it’s a drama and you need a colorful character of sorts. I like that neither of the leads like each other -are finally honest in their speech to each other bantering and she finally she stood up for herself. It’s a good drama, my go,to for a realistic story. I LOVE the grandmother, the scenes with her are my favorite. She is beautiful and wise. She reminds me of my own grandma who I miss dearly, I love when she keeps smacking the ML because he’s being snarky to the FL and how she dotes on the FL. She also is an independent woman who made a life for herself . Hopefully moving forward the Fl will stay independent and feel (know that she is) equal to the Ml and enjoy her life. I know they end up together but I’d like to see the character development as it progresses for both of them (hopefully less scenes with the mom ) lol
I binged this in two nights. (Watched it subbed and unsubbed) I loved it. the story is really interesting. . the book of fate is manipulating the FL (and others) and the FL is trying to outwit the book. The storyline goes back and forth a bit and sideways -.this is a drama where you have to pay attention to everything bc you’ll be in one scene and then something entirely different pops up and you have to make the connection. It was understandable to watch with no subs but I will def go back and watch the last 4 when they get subbed. From my understanding, the misunderstandings for the most, were caused by the book and the FL need for her own character growth to be part of the books manipulation annd intent . (i dont understand why people just don’t say what they need to say to others and not hold everything in ..in order to be “noble or self serving” ….but then we wouldn’t have these wonderful dramas). I loved the FL s fighting spirit.. she rallied back each time and got smarter and wiser. Her transformation and love for ML is what pulled me in, and his understanding and love for her was really sweet.. he knew her agenda and strategy .. but he “understood her” figured her out and that made him more interesting to me. The leads are really good, ML totally gets FLs character (until he forgets her ..) and as both FL reveal who they really are you see that good isn’t all good and bad isn’t all bad. Knowing oneself and who you can trust is important in the story. Overall I loved the acting story character arcs and ending. For a short drama I would rate it 8.5-9/10 Others in this type of “not everything is what you see” would be Familiar Strangers , The Killer is romantic, & Queen of Attack I do love the short dramas, they are watchable in a short time frame and have some have great stories .. any one else have other suggestions on other good dramas?
I Love this type of story. The imperfections of the leads as well as fate “life” affecting our actions and choices. I’m only up to episode 8. I feel like the book of fate is using her and as she goes along she starts to use it.. noticing the clues and watching out for her own safety …. She knows she’s being manipulated but she’s no wilting flower .. I know she’s sneaky in her own way but she has reason. Hard times have slammed into her and she’s been thrown off her golden perch.. now what..? She’s gotta figure that out and it’s not going to be the typical story.. this is the kind of drama I wait for and thoroughly enjoy the story as it goes along. I think she’s never had to really look at herself in this big wide world and now she has no other option, The ML appears to be stunted in his development of self acceptance and is easily misunderstood. His relationships are interesting to observe. Can he trust , should he trust..? Then what happens to his inner cocoon that has kept him safe. ..? I like that he keeps himself in check and finds out the truth.. Anyhoo.. fun to watch ..love the book of fate idea ..if it wasn’t so late I’d continue watching.. …
Of course a cup of coffee and a comfy chair will keep me going for a few more episodes …:D

I. Thought he was going to throw a rock at the bad guys head at the end like in a previous episode :) i skipped the whole drama and went to the last 10 min bc I couldn’t t wait ..lol. I also thought it was a better ending than I expected I would have loved a kiss but it’s implied and just the fact that they are together and she is in his arms was good enough for me Overall this drama was a 10 plus ..I loved every episode and the chemistry was exceptional.
This was a surprisingly good drama. I didn’t expect it to be this good and I was hoping it was 24 episodes but I found out it’s only 18.. love the story line and the interaction of the leads. The real story surprised me but it made sense. Well done

Their chemistry is awesome.. he really wears his heart on his sleeve.. when he stood up and said she couldn’t leave and his brother pulled him back down I thought “hes a goner!”hopefully when all is settled they can actually have a life together and wouldn’t it be fun if she keeps getting to be the masked ‘man” and they do that together I think a “non customary”relationship where they work together and she gets to enjoy her life with him would be a fun way for the drama to end Hopefully the writers will keep up the good work and give us a happy ending

Oh wow.. I must have missed that scene or maybe I thought he lived through it But then why did the father in law keep asking her about her brother. In the beginning when she was first married…Unless he did that for a while until he found him and killed him … . Oh my,, that is not going to bode well with the FL .. so Lady Oh knows all and will reveal this to FL ..who will make sure he gets his due.. although I think the king would love to take him down as well as any others involved In the preview it looks like they are serving the tea with the petals in it to the king..wondering if that’s a set up to catch the FIL We’re gonna get a lot in 2 episodes wish it was more bc I’m enjoying it so much Wonder if ML will have the pleasure of killing Pil Jik …

Interesting that she leaves and ends up in MLs room.. she could have said no when asked to have him go home.. but she did not. Clearly she has feelings for him …the look on her face to me was a perfect blend of “what if” and “hes breaking my heart” He really is the perfect partner for her , he gets her need for independence and both share the responsibility for the poor/trodden people Perhaps the husband will take this into consideration. In the preview he mentions something about …”what. is worse.. her wearing the mask and /or being MLs lover “ She’s been held hostage for 15 years and now all the subterfuge is unfolding in front of her .. she’s gonna focus on her brother and want to take down those who harmed (is he dead? I wasn’t sure ) him I’m looking forward to Lady Oh spilling the beans and telling all. I agree with you she can me will get more done than the king and that belongs to her .. she’s the one that’s been used by the FILaw and deserves resolution & her own life (with ML of course :) There’s only two episodes left so we’re gonna get a lot of action/answers and hopefully that kiss …just sayin’ lol
For me, this is true feeling for each other.. it has the hidden and the obvious ..the gifts under the covering of the wall where she lives, the smile on her face when she sees the cookies and then goes out herself to see what’s there before any one else… the protection he tries to give her when he throws the stone at the villains head and fights with her to protect the child and her)… His willingness and vulnerability to share his story and how he gently pulls her head onto his shoulder to rest when they are in the barn …her rescuing him and wrapping up his wound. The interaction between the two is golden .. the bantering , humor, ..loved how he said he’s so much better with his sword right before she makes his horse run away … omg I loved it !! …the smile on his face whenever he sees her. (She does it too!!) There’s a sense of protection, caring, heartfelt emotion (on her side ..but she realizes she can’t act on it and it has to be subdued) For his part… all his emotions can’t help but keep showing up in his actions , words and in his eyes…I noticed the last few episodes his eyes are bursting with heartfelt affection … they speak his heart and it’s very clear when he states they need to find a way to make her stay and not leave for three years… lol …like that’s the most important thing for his brother to do ..hahaha.. I think that’s why she tells him they can’t be more than they are …even if she likes/loves him -societies constraints are too strong ..she needs to find her brother and she knows ML can’t fall any deeper…. It’s the kind of romance/attraction/vulnerable honest relationship,that doesn’t need a kiss to draw us in.. we’re already “caught” and loving every minute of them.. they are ..genuine , honest , strong and sweet …the relationship stands on its own ..and in its own way is more romantic because of the absolute caring of each other hopefully the “husband” who left to marry someone else (where is the blue eyed woman btw?) will let FL go and live her life. He’s already seen that there’s something more going on between the two and he mentions that in preview of ep 11 Also Father in Law is up to his eyeballs in mayham to the king & the previous king… so there’s a possibility FL may be able to leave that family should the king decide to put to death all the people involved……and that would make mother in law a widow or worse…. This is indeed an awesome drama.. the kind you rewatch once it’s done..or you’re already rewatching it bc it’s that good :D

I agree. He was fine not sleeping together with her and I was pretty sure she was going to knock him out if he tried (lol) . At the end of the drama the ML was drunk and said something heartfelt to the FL and I’m pondering what that could be. I noticed this episode he seemed to be more open in his emotions and feelings with her .. his eyes seemed to be way more expressive with his feelings/protectiveness etc towards her. Such a good drama
