Just curious, why does she not end up with the prince (is he a prince)? who is in love with her? .. they are pushing that relationship and he’s a lead so I assumed they would be the end couple. I was wondering ..Is she dead and doing this all in her mind? Bc she keeps making mention of the incense. I thought she might be laid out after dying and is aware of the incense being burned or something like that . I like that as she changes her ways, other characters show their evil ways. It’s a great drama ..totally hooked on it

So impressed with ML and how he treats FL .. he’s not the typical rom com lead who inserts himself into her life and tried to rescue her.. (she is so refreshing and does not need rescuing) For a rich person he is so incredibly respectful of adults .. I’m so impressed by that.
I love that he not only listens to her but he gleans that information and puts it into action. He is learning how to be a “person” and be respectful of others through his initial attraction to her and now his deeper feelings for her We are watching him learn how to be family and actually interact with people . I feel like so much of his childhood was so lonely that he disconnected from people It would make sense that her friends who, she trusts would be how he would reconnect to himself bc his initial wound is loss of mother .. FLs friends are the antidote to his sister who is just evil/hateful/jealous/petty Loved the interaction between him and her friends.. he was so comfy eating playing and sharing his thoughts (the scene with the eggs was adorable:) Loved the “do I have permission?”..that was sooo sweet … it’s my perfect rom com right now and I’m happy to see them dating having fun living their everyday lives, learning about each other and getting to know each other Wish i could binge it all at once .. but I’m happy to look forward to it :D
What I LOVED….: he immediately goes to her apartment to talk because he is AWARE of her enough to see that she had closed down and was upset.. and he wants to clear it up (ep 8) how often do we see misunderstandings in dramas go on for 2-3 plus episodes that drive us crazy… communication seems to be becoming his strong point ….that’s how he will heal… I also loved his respect for her grandmother (lol with the onion peeling and the King Carp.. thank you writers!!) His emotions are all over his face and it’s adorable how he was trying to be cute - so never had a childhood and now he can because he trusts her…ohhhhhso sweet!!!!! and the quiet dinner with his dad… so much more needed to be said.. I’d love to know the meaning behind “saving a life (his moms?) And WHOA what a decree of DISGUST for his sister and the board.. LOVED his fighting spirit ..‘I’ll show you how I can act up” you go Gu!!! He’s my hero right now..:D

I’m so loving this drama.. I keep watching the episodes over and over. I think the writers are moving us past the typical rom com rich chaebol poor girl ..to family acceptance, healing and love… , ..hopefully they will be two people who stand together when the father and sister say they can’t marry (which I’m 90% sure will happen) However he is independently wealthy so he may just walk away. Either way I’m loving this couple..and Gu’s manager :)
I was thinking we have plenty of story for the 16 episodes .. Gu Won needs to: heal his childhood, find out what happened to his mom, allow himself to care about himself and others, start using his business sense and fighting back..kick his sister A$$ , have a relationship & some fun be fed and doted upon by my all time favorite grandmother (ep 6), learn to protect others , fall in love and learn to smile along the way, disengage from his fathers overbearing control….. Initially I felt the romance was coming too soon , until,I realized that he had no reason to go into a character arc, he didn’t care about anything or anyone and he only saw things from his distant -disconnected myopic view. He safely kept himself separate from his own life and his place in the world Cheon is the character that he can form a strong foundation/connection with. She’s hard working earnest, true to herself and respectful,of others. As I was watching ep 5 I realized her personality, remarks, work & family ethnic make him aware of how others see him. That never mattered to him but now it does. No one truly cared for him, they gave him lip service, now he wants something more ..enough to jump down a cliff to save and protect it. I don’t mind that this is a formulaic K drama .. I love what I’ve seen so far and I’m sitting back and enjoying the humor and watching them learn about each other and open their hearts to each other I’m in for the long haul .. I worked all day came home and immediately tuned on the drama and laughed out loud , smiled and sighed .. :D. I love good rom coms …:D
It is kind of early for a relationship.. but I’m wondering if it’s about her effect on him: Healing his past ..making him a better person, better director, actually using his abilities to make something of himself and have a vision for the future As overbearing and mean as his sister is, it’s as if she’s made him indifferent to achieving or caring about something in his life ..she’s hated him for many years but why? It seems -other than enjoying his money, he has no joy or intimate connections to others . his only true friend is the manager (who is awesome:) FL is the first person the rattle him a bit and speak to him as an equal. Even when they interact at the hotel her eyes show she doesn’t put him on a pedestal Anyhoo, maybe the writers want to flesh this out and show us a relationship (healthy and no break ups please ) and I’d really like to see a drama with some dating and being silly..just sayin..
It’s been a while since I’ve been seriously (not even remotely patiently) waaaaiiitttnng for the next episode of a drama. This drama is it!!! I worked all day yesterday came home (food??..who needs food ….I have an adorable rom com waiting for me : .I loved episode 3 ..so many funny adorable moments laughing out loud! thankfully I had today off so as soon as I woke up I just kept checking for episode 4 ..(every freakin minute..LOLOL Isn’t it funny how you can’t wait to watch it and then when it’s done you’re like…..I gotta wait again???
I feel like the ML mother left the family for someone else. I think thats why the father is so hurt and says those…
I thought so to, the way the father responded was not like she had passed away and he was sad, it was like “just forget about her..and love is nothing” so my assumption was she had left him ..I’m not sure why the elder daughter hates ML bc it’s more than just jealousy..wonder if the father left her mom for MLs mom ..or something like that …. I’m surprised they are bringing romance in so early..with him showing interest in her but he does have a character arc of learning to trust & be friends (be genuine)( find his smile ) with someone and open himself up to another person to tell his story.
I didn’t care for the third “eternal love” either..I watched a few episodes and dropped it. First two were great. I thought the leads were very natural with each other . The drama that drove me nuts at the end was affairs of drama queen. It was really good and the leads matched well, but the ending left me waiting for a part 2. I’ll watch this one on you tube and I still have to finish a few episodes one Destined ..so many great dramas out now:)
That’s a decent ending, I may watch it then.. .. it would be cool if he somehow followed her to the present ..like “the eternal Love “ when she goes back he follows her (loved that one) I was totally invested in this one drama where an actress goes back in time and the lead who seems bad but is actually really a good person falls in love with her (and finally she with him) and then she suddenly ends up in the present with no indication that the ML is anywhere in the present or her going back in time and I was like ?????? Thank you:D
Yes I would love that.. I’m watching so many dramas right now and the short dramas are fun to binge but they don’t always end in a happy ever after or they are open ended and I have to wait for part 2 (that never gets made..lol;0
