Truly disappointed in the Hong sisters. While variety in a show is good, the new script has drained the show of…
Great review - speaks for many of us. In Part 1, all of the character stories were inter-related. Director Park Joon Hwa said it was like a hexagon - six sides/stories w/interaction amongst everyone at various points.
Part 2 was a straight line - Jang Uk and JBY - everything revolved around them. The Netflix viewership proves your point - viewers unimpressed.
1. Hypocritical main character who knows what she does is evil and hides it from her daughter, but loves doing…
Thanks - I'll pass based on your review. I read somewhere that in the last John Wick movie (No. 4), Keanu Reeves spoke only 380 words or so. In other words, no real character plot.
Probably the best drama of 2023 so far and itโll be hard for future dramas to live up to this level of quality.…
If you like drama - as in MELOdrama with lots of angst, then you will enjoy it.
Me? I like rom-coms. This is not a rom-com. I was initially intrigued, then bored and don't worry about watching the moment the episodes are released. at this point, I'll wait to find out if there is a happy ending or not because I don't have time to invest (like reading the subs) in something that ends poorly/sad (from my viewpoint)
So far the known OTT platforms are Disney Plus in selected regions and TVING.
See my edits in above comment. Hong Kong (or Singapore or Japan) are nothing more than network "servers" located in those countries (I think that is the correct term) . The subs are generated by Disney+ (or the original broadaster like TVN). Some dramas have more options than others. Check the "settings" on the drama you are watching and see what options you have for subs and dubbing. Good luck!

You have to set your Disney+ settings for the English subs. I can't recall if I must do it for each separate drama or if it's automatic once you do the setting.
Edited: I'll go check mine right now (i'm currently watching "Call it Love" on my VPN/Disney+)
edit #2: when you watch the drama, go to the tiny icon in upper right hand corner for the settings. You can choose the sub langauge and in some cases you can choose to listen with dubbed English.

If you have a Disney+ account, you should be able to access with your PVN. BUT, you may need to roam around for the best country. I always have luck with Hong Kong. And if I recall correctly, South Korea is blocked.
So does jang uk ever find out that first season naksu killed him because of the bells and she couldnt control…
The bells never showed up again in Part 2, so the answer is "no" - he never knew why she went wild, He planned to tell Mu-deok?Naksu what Master Lee said: so long as she didn't try to use her energy/power, she wouldn't run wild. He never got a chance to tell her (because she was drunk) - which is why he felt guilty.
Noone knew about the bells except Jin Mu (and possibly Jin Mu's henchman).
I saw yoo insoo in the cast he needs more roles in the dramas soo handsome and good at acting ๐ฅบ๐
In Soo will next appear in "The Good Bad Mother" (https://kisskh.at/733003-bad-mother) which begins April 26 on Netflix, It's a main role, but looks like he will be SML. ๐
I've seen July 29th as tentative release date for Uncanny Counter 2.
Saw it at Berlin Film Festival. While the action scenes were really well made and exciting, the film felt way…
Thanks for the brief summary. It looks intriguing and I enjoyed Jean Do Yeon in "Crash Course in Romance", but I will have my finger on the FF button to get through the violence.
A few pointers from the actors about the drama and the second half from their "Singles" magazine interview:Lee…
Thanks for sharing. Normally, I enjoy watching a k-drama that includes the nonverbal movements and expressions, but 16 episodes of micro-steps (not even min-steps, these are micro steps, haha) has killed my anticipation to watch. I still haven't watched last week's episodes, partially because time is a premium for me right now. I'll binge a few episodes all at once at some point - perhaps before the final episode or perhaps after but I'm in no rush.
This season has been complete garbage story-writing wise. It seemed like they made things up on the fly. Everything…
Yeah. . . . pretty much as you said. Part 2 was garbage but I could have forgiven quite a bit if they didn't destroy my favorite couple: Dang-gu and Cho-yeon. This is the only Hong Sister drama I have ever watched and I won't watch another one. The Director (Park Joon Hwa) was one of my favorites - Secretary Kim; This is my first Life. But I'll hesitate in the future.
I haven't started the drama and i wanted to watch it. I have certain questions to ask and i don't mind spoilers.1.…
Need to define "villain" in order to figure this out.
Is it the person who may have "saved" No. 50 (you will need to watch to understand that one) by giving her a new identity? Is it the person who used No. 50 to be a killer? Is it the person who conspired to kill the former President? Are there TWO conspiracies? THREE?
I am assuming that since the we are only at Ep. 6 of a 16 Episode show then the husband is NOT the real villain. I'm watching w/a heavy hand on the FF button because I think the body count is going to get pretty high.
Thank goodness that is over. It started out so good, different and interesting. I liked the concept they were…
thanks for taking the time to write this review. I "paused" around Ep. 7 because when I begin a drama that has comedy and romance, I don't like too much evil/death. I waited for end to decide whether to binge it or drop it. Your review convinces me to drop it - I don't have the kind of time to waste. It could have been charming but like so many k-dramas, lost its way around 2/3 through. Again - thanks for your review.
They were "close" once before. She gave him monogrammed leather tags for his golf bag. For all we know, they may…
That scene was ambiguous, but he was very "guarded" (or hurt?) when he said "do I know you?" (because he obviously DID know her). So, close friends or close in some other way - I assume we will eventually find out since the monogram leather tag scene must mean some meaning.
They will not ship Sunwoo and MinYoung, will they :/
They were "close" once before. She gave him monogrammed leather tags for his golf bag. For all we know, they may have been together before she hooked up with DJ.
The sister (hye seeong) is text book "daddy issues". It pains me to see how desperate she is for any man. I hope…
Alcoholism is a serious disease. I don't like Min-young, but she is ill and needs help. I hope she gets it and I hope they don't give her a silly, "happy" ending with some sort of insta-cure.
At first I was super confused by Joon's reaction when he heard that Woo Joo sleeping out. And he also got that…
I'm probably crazy but YOON Joon has the same surname as YOON Dae Hong ("Uncle" Daehong) and when I re-watched those handful of scenes between Joon and DJ (no dialogue - just "dagger" eyes), I wonder if they know each other - perhaps as children. I think both men are at least loosely related to Uncle - perhaps to be revealed eventually.
If so, then perhaps Yoon Joon has different reasons for his antagonism towards DJ and his concern for WJ.
