Do you all agree that other kdrama writers that follow the usual kdrama formula (iykyk) can learn a thing or two…
I had to look up what "iykyk" means - but I still don't understand reference to Kdrama formula, but then I'm new to the genre, lol so I guess I don't '"know" lol. I do know that in the few other shows I have watched, - which are all slow-burn type rom-coms, once a couple becomes established (after going through the boy gets girl/boy loses girl/ back together for good) the shows all go sideways because they still need to complete 2-3 more episodes before they hit the magic 16. Business Proposal ended up that way after Ep. 10! w/two more episodes to go.
Honestly, I prefer this drama than Business Proposal in terms of main couple chemistry and also the writer makes…
My primary problem with Business Proposal (and I loved the show for the 1st 9 episodes) is that after the main couple became A Couple, the show went sideways at the end of Ep 10 and never recovered. There was no continuing story of any substance. I still haven't watched Ep. 12 and not sure if I ever will.
With Crazy Love, The Couple is solid - and there is still MUCH more story to unfold. Writers are genius.
He has been visible to everyone up to now, but Park Tae-yang is the only one to recognize him from his past. Probably…
I would be thrilled if this happens. After 12 episodes, I am a true believer in this writer - very few inconsistencies (all minor) and slowly everything still "fits" with the overall story (stories) arc. I don't see Secretary Jo as "shady" - his background is a total mystery and if he's somehow connected in a positive way to Go Jin. . . . . . . be still my heart!!!
Can't stress enough how good Kim Jae Wook's acting was when he returned, hugged Shin Ah like there's no tomorrow,…
Kim Jae Wook should get "Best Actor" award for his performance on this show - he has run the freakin' gamut of personality changes (cold, warm, smart, stupid) comedy, slapstick, not to mention hot and sexy as sin.
I think she’s Segi’s sister. Korean parents like to name their kids with close pronunciation.
haha, I went and watched Ep 7 frame-by-frame to look at calendar indicated D-Day was on a Thursday, Oct. 27. So, I looked it up on the internet - Oct. 27 was on a Thursday in 2011 and 2016. 2016 also showed up in one other frame. So, not quite 6 years.
Re Se-gi :my impression after today is that they are beginning to build a partially sympathetic back story for Se-gi. I believe there is more to this story arc than simply revenge or greed, especially since se-gi actor is one of the three major stars. He's not 100% evil like Baek and Baek daughter (I hate her). I don't think this is spoiler post - talking about 2016, but let me know if you disagree.
So now we have a new mystery - who the heck is Secretary Jo (Soo-young's assistant). . It’s interesting that…
He has been visible to everyone up to now, but Park Tae-yang is the only one to recognize him from his past. Probably some connection (cousin?) to the Baek family - he told Soo-young about her father in the hospital. But he’s younger than Soo-young (or the actor is several years younger than the actress) so don’t believe he would have been involved in the break-up 12 y ears ago.
So now we have a new mystery - who the heck is Secretary Jo (Soo-young's assistant). . It’s interesting that he is only identified as “Secretary Jo” on the internet. For those that understand Korean, does this indicate his last name is “Jo”? Spoilers below
I think she’s Segi’s sister. Korean parents like to name their kids with close pronunciation.
Thus far, this series is doing a good job of minimizing red herrings (in fact, the two identical watches is the only I can immediately think of). The clues are thinly spread throughout but for the most part are consistent. What might be the issue with Se-gi and se-hee? Se-gi gave Go-Jin all of his money in 2016 and said "you need to look after me now, sir." So, maybe Go-Jin didn't do anything to destroy Se-gi's family, but in yesterday's episode he said that he wasn't a good son to her parents. Perhaps he didn't visit the father in early stages of dementia? Perhaps lost track of his sister? Much to ponder.
Problem with the ratings as I see it. For the majority you really have to work for it as it is not available globally…
Does anyone know a method for contacting Disney+ (for North America and europe) to let them know we want to see this gem of a show? I went on Disney+, searched for quite a while and finally found a "request" button and I typed in "Crazy Love" but I don't imagine it means much. Anyway, if there is a more direct route, then perhaps an internet swarm of Crazy Love supporters could have an impact?
Personal interpretation .. The education industry must be a really high stress environment and difficult to survive/arduous…
After reading many viewer comments today - that were upset with Go-Jin's imperious treatment of Shin-ah - , I suddenly got a big lump in my tummy and thought - ah, hell no! They aren't going to end this with Shin-ah leaving to explore her big dream while Go-jin unselfishly waits for 1-2 years. I'm looking at you Business Proposal (I still haven't watched the last two episodes). Sometimes, we have to choose between "the big dream/career" and love/family. I did it twice - NO regrets. I want to see the stalker unmasked; I want to see Se-gi's backstory, why he is doing this (and, whatever the reasons, he is irredeemable at this point); I want to see Go-Jin use his brains (once he gets past his fear of losing Shin-ah) and develop the perfect plan for crushing Se-gi and his anonymous backer (my assumption - not a spoiler); and finally - and this is ultra politically incorrect - I want to see a battle between Soo-young and Shin-na and if Shin-na just happens to slap that b**ch or slug her, then I will be very happy with this show. The end.
I'm so obsessed with this mystery (or actually, two mysteries, I guess) that I started to prepare a calendar.…
I told you I was obsessed!
Calendar - this is how I put together the 1st week;; some things were spelled out, others simply fit Monday, Feb. 21 (Calendar): Go-Jin's birthday; Shin-ah's one year anniversary; Go-jin says he is going to vacation house in Gangneung after the special lecture; Se-gi says he is going to US on the 24th. Next day (Feb. 22): Special lecture - and Ms. Ma blames Shi-ah for lost thumb drive Next Day (Feb 23): Go-jin moves meeting to Gangneung w/out telling shin-ah (presumably punishment); Shin-ah gets diagnosis, goes to Gangneung; hit-and run Feb 24 - long night w/surgery; daylight - se-gi's plane is departing Seoul
After that, I'm not sure how long Go-Jin was in hospital or when he returned to Seoul. And the writers were definitely lazy/inconsistent on some things, but didn't affect plot. Clothing changes also provide clues.
I HAVE A QUESTION. how was segi there when the hit and run happened? wasnt he like in the plane?
I'm so obsessed with this mystery (or actually, two mysteries, I guess) that I started to prepare a calendar. The hit-and-run occurred late night of the 23rd (actually, early morning the next day) and Se-gi left to the US on the 24th. His scene on the plane was in daylight and several hours after the surgery.
So I have a question since analyzing that kiss will never end, I want to analyze something else. From the episode…
Ep. 11 - I think that it was the motorcyclist (w/long brown hair) that was aiming at Shin-ah and that the girl we saw was an accomplice (perhaps unknowing). In the past, the stalker has been covered up in black clothes w/gloves and mask I'm pretty sure this young girl isn't the stalker. We also learned today that the "engagement" is public news , plus the fan girls knew all about it a week ago. But the stalker - who is probably the woman that stalked him in the past and claimed to be his fiancé may have been satisfied with sending awful, bloody things to Go-jin in the past may feel very differently about his engagement to Shin-ah.
With Crazy Love, The Couple is solid - and there is still MUCH more story to unfold. Writers are genius.
