You mean weekender recs? Or regular kdrama? For weekender: Five Enough, Once Again, My Father Is Strange, Homemade…
". I think i need to have this bullcrap here done and over with"

Lol, but for me, the bullcrap was over and done with when Tae Min solved the mystery and made people pay for their sins. I actually think that Ko Joo Won wrapped up a couple of weeks ago and I will be very surprised if he's at the wedding. Which may be why I've dived into Queen of tears and Wedding Impossible and returned to catch up with Doctor Slump.

Not "Queen of Tears"? It is anything but a standard straight-line romance - in fact, quite the opposite. But I had to stick through the entire first 2 episodes to make a decision and it's now at the top of my list.

No, Hyo Jun instagram link was for HS/TH wedding (I didn't know it at the time, but the flowers are the same as the HS/TH wedding photo). We will never see Hyo Jun's wedding. 😥

Hyo Shim took the title of the show "Live Your Own Life" too seriously☠️☠️
I just posted a comment about this - I'm pretty sure the original plan for the show WAS for her to disappear at some point, but it didn't involve a time skip.

Deadbeat Dad was always going to return late in the drama. The actor was announced back in September but he was already involved in a KBS daily show that didn't end until a few weeks ago. But even so, the story they came up with was ridiculous.

Oh my, bloomingtide. Absolutely Tae Min dodged a bullet, but I still can't forgive the drama for him not having a happy ending with the family he desperately wanted.

On Live Your Own Life Mar 16, 2024
I’ve kept this on the back burner for a long time, but it may explain these last episodes.

When the drama first began, MDL linked to something called “KBS World”. It provided a preview of the drama that was similar to the one on MDL. With one significant difference – as a result of conflicts at TS Fitness (caused by Tae Ho), Hyo Shim disappears and due to her absence, her family must learn to “live their own lives”. In addition, Tae Ho searches frantically for her and gains a clue as to Grandmother’s whereabouts.

At the time I read this, I ahought – this is great! For a few episodes, Hyo Shim will learn to live her life *independent* of others – including Tae Ho. Plus, sooner or later, they will reconcile and have their happy ending.

I think this was the original plan because during the first half of the drama, (i) there was constant foreshadowing of a major conflict at TS Fitness (the “no dating” rule) and (ii) there were plenty of clues sprinkled around UIcheon Villa (Ga-on’s drawing, Hyo-do requesting grandmother’s signature) that might have led Tae Ho to find grandmother. However, Hyo Shim never disappeared and, in fact much to my disappointment, she never began a truly “independent life” because Tae Ho was there making decisions for her and she usually gave in just to keep the peace.

The BIG story in the 2nd half was the battle between Tae Min and Tae Ho (planned from the beginning based on PR when the drama began). Hyo Shim took a back seat for many episodes and the romance really never changed - no arguments, no joint planning for their future, just Tae Ho dragging her along in his plans for their future.

So, I guess she finally broke free of all the pressures and emotional baggage from everyone, but it would have been far better if it happened back around Episode 30 thru 40.

All I can figure out is that they needed that new apartment for her in order to maximize PPL opportunities. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

lol, but for me, the best part of the show was Tae Hee and Tae Min😊😊 It's the only part that I re-watched w/subs.

Yes, the epilogues/flashbacks to date are of their happier days. Pre-wedding/wedding/honeymoon.
Patience MAGICWONDERS, patience. 16 episodes and I'm pretty sure I'm here for the duration.

Something tells me that a similarly jaw-breaking scene scene with Hyun Woo won't be too far behind. Maybe Ep. 4 if we are lucky. 😊

What is the twitter site to find this spoiler please?
They are a couple of very short (5) second videos or photos of each one (separately) in Busan. One of them shows Tae Ho sitting on the beach looking out to the ocean - He's not smiling but since this is Tae Ho, if he was SAD, he would be bawling his eyes out. 😊

As for me, my favorite Ko Joo Won, for weeks he posted photos at the end of the week from the weekend show - and he's been radio silent the last couple of weeks - no possible spoilers from him!😒😒

If you go on twitter and search for #LiveYourOwnLife, several posts show up with a variety of photos - including the wrap party. It looks like both Ha Jun and Uee were in Busan earlier this week for final filming [not final 'scenes"] (according to the people on Twitter).

Also, Ha Jun posted photos on his Instagram page

Studying at Busan? I haven't seen that specifically, but if so - you go girl - do it On Your Own w/out pushy TH…
I took another look at the photos on Ha Jun’s Instagram and then re-read the original program description from the writer (on KBS website):

“through the process of Hyo-sung [Hyo shim?] and Tae-ho overcoming the trauma of their respective families and creating a family again, they try to revive their positivity and hope for their family in spite of it.”

So, i’m actually thinking along these lines: All of the in-studio filming was pretty much wrapped up last week or possibly Monday [they were scheduled in-studio on Monday]. After all, they need time to put everything together for the weekend. The happy ending scenes with all of the cast members were filmed in studio or indoor locations last week. So, filming in Busan this week? It only involved two cast members, so much easier to do after everyone else completed filming. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. (Also, posted some ig photos of Ha Jun actor a few minutes ago which are clearly “epilogue” type.)

Studying at Busan? I haven't seen that specifically, but if so - you go girl - do it On Your Own w/out pushy TH meddling. Take the 3 months and then. . .happy reunion. Better than the cold, contrived wedding scene in THRC.

Meanwhile, at least your favorites will get a heart-fluttering scene. My boi TM maybe gets a few scenes w/little sis and perhaps goes on a plane trip. Somewhere. Painting somewhere? Or maybe just sitting at a desk.

Be happy Bloomingtide - it may not be the ultimate but it will flutter year heart.

Can anyone tell me how were the first 2 episodes?? Thinking about starting it but am not sure.
If the 1st 2 episodes are any prediction, there will be 5-10 minutes of tear-jerker scenes in every episode. I FF thru all of them because there is no question how they will be resolved.

But the remainder of the episodes are lots of fun and charm. Some scary scenes, but not violent. My boi Yoo In Soo stole every scene he was in - IMHO, of course.. 🥰
