I'm loving every minute of it and apparently Korean viewers feel the same way - stellar ratings for Episode 6.

They went to University together. Her non-friend (Royal department store) said "you should have just married Eun Seung". And Hae-in said to him "let's just say that we broke up cordially" (or words like that). They may have dated, but she didn't love him and he was pressing her (pushing the boundaries). My guess is that she was part of his scheme/plan even back then.

She's not his wife. She has been his mistress for 30 years. When his wife died 20 years ago, she moved into the family compound (Queens Town) but insists that she has no wish to be part of the family registry or money - which is why he trusts her, the big old fool.

And, of course, Hyun Woo will be the hero who vanquishes the villains (from a little help from a few others).

She's just a paid flunky. She doesn't know what the real plan is - she's worried that Soo-cheol will get hurt but was told too just "take her share" when it was finished.

Mistress Bitch smiled when she put that wreath around the Chairman's neck - not sure if there is a connection or not, but why would he bring his MISTRESS there instead of his wife?

In the end, he will save the whole dang family and company. They don't deserve him. And Hae-in just barely deserves him. 😊

Very possible. There is sooooo much we still don't know about her - writer is barely scratching the surface. Who did she commit adultery with (presumably Eun Seong's father). Who accused her of adultery. Was Moh Seol Hee a real person or a made-up identity. Is there really a "Grand Shaman" pulling the strings or an imaginary person.

i'm more suspicious of her killing Grandmother.

According to the private investigator, the woman who now goes by the name of "Moh Seol Hee" (aka Mistress Bitch) is really Oh Sun Yeong. OSE served time in prison under that name and was presumably released under that name and then supposedly "died" 30 years ago.

We don't know when she was released from prison and we don't know when she began to use the name "Moh Seol Hee". We don't know if there was a real Moh seol Hee" or if it's a brand new name. But an identification switch when someone died (accident? murder?) would be rather delicious plot twist. time will tell.

Re: Seo cheol's child - maybe. . . but the child is 1 years old and 2ML only recently returned to Korea (publicly, at least). They were close in the orphanage - so, either close friends or siblings (definitely sibling vibe more than lover vibe between them).

Yes - but we don't know why yet. I don't believe Eun Seong is Gramps child because she was known by a different name at the time he was born. And there would be a big ewwww factor if he is truly pursuing Hae-in romantically.

But she wants revenge for something - OR, someone else (unknown) is part of the conspiracy - the one who helped get a new identification, etc. Maybe that Chairman Yeom we keep hearing about. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think Hae-in will decide: we are going to stay married but we are going to be separate. No way will she agree to a divorce at which point he would need to sue in court (very pubic). Not going to happen. w/r/t to your comment re: Dae-hye (brother's wife) it looks like she is enjoying her secure life very much and doesn't really want to walk away "with her share" - especially if that would mean leaving her baby behind. I'm wondering if she is Grace's daughter? here's the tvN preview for episode 7:

The aftermath of the divorce papers is intense.
Hyun Woo is so shocked that Hyun Woo decides to do something else for Hae-in.
This leads to greater challenges at home and at work.
Meanwhile, Eun-sung's plan is well underway, and Hyun-woo fights back!

Here's the timeline for the past history. This is for viewers (1) who are confused about events in the past because they don't want to watch the villains when they are on screen and (ii) who, like me, are really enjoying the family/corporate intrigue because Hyun-woo will be the hero in the end - count on it 😊

1989 (34 years ago): “Oh sun-yeong” was imprisoned for adultery and gave birth behind bars. Yoon Eun Yeong is 34 years old. Do the math.

1993 (30 years ago): Oh Sun-yeong “died” and “Moh Seol Hee” (Mistress Bitch) became Chairman’s mistress.

1998 (25 years ago): Hai-in’s older brother died in a “mysterious boat accident”.

July 1, 2000 (23 years ago) – (i) Chairman visited Evergreen Hope Orphanage and he was accompanied by Hae-in, Soo-cheol and Mistress Bitch. He gave a talk about Napoleon and a young Cheon Da-hye presented him with a wreath, while Mistress Bitch looked attentively at her. [Dae Hye age is a puzzle but if she is 5 years older than her husband, then she was 15 years old back then.] Eun Seung, a Queens scholarship recipient, was 11 years old.

July 6, 2000, Eun-seung killed a dog

2002 (21 years ago): At the age of 13, Eun-seong was adopted by a US couple [who later VERY conveniently dies right before he graduated from University}.

2003 (20 years ago): Events really begin to happen! Grandmother Yang Mi-suk (who drank like a fish) died of a heart attack. Uncle Hong Beom-seok (Hae-in's uncle) was accused of embezzlement and expelled from Queens. Mistress Bitch moved into Queens Town.

2006/2007 (17 years ago): At (age 16?), Baek Hyun Woo transferred to a Korea-Japan Foreign Language High School highschool in Seoul. [Was he a Queens Scholarship recipient?] Hong Hae In (age 15?) left the Korea-Japan Foreign Language High School moved to the USA to continue her education.

2008? (15 years ago? Need to re-check): Grace Goh/Advisor Goh began to work for Hong family.

The dates match up exactly, so yes - it's definite.

I'm putting together a time-line (and will post later), but 2ML causing sibling's death is unlikely since the brother died before the Hong family visited the orphanage.

Hyun-woo has apologized (mianhae - I'm sorry) over and over again. She has never said those words.

Which, of course, is intentional by the writer.

It covers multiple episodes, many scenes that we haven't seen yet. I'm looking forward to the scenes with Hae-in's family in Youndo-ri but have no idea when they may occur. 😊😊

From Episode 4, Eun Seung, Matchmaker Grace and Director Jo (the man who resigned from Queens after 20 years of service) clearly hope to take down the Chairman (embezzlement) and take over Queens (controlling stock). Although it hasn't been spelled out in detail, Eun Seong seems bent upon revenge, Grace and Director Jo hope to make a bundle of money. They may or may not be buddies at the end. 😂😂😂

We still don't know why Eun Seong is hell bent on revenge, but my pet theory is that when he killed the dog 23 years ago, his Queens scholarship was yanked out from under him and he was adopted out to the USA (assuming that part of his story is accurate).
