I'm sure it's gonna cause a riot... Not eceryone has read the novel beforehand. And this one has one of the most problematic and toxic relationships ever! KinnPorsche may be still a digestible part(noncon excluded) but VP storyline is something I'm not sure anyone can digest. I have seen other forums where ppl have revolted over drunk kisses.. This is much, much worse.

Yeah they end up together. One of the most uncomfortable and unconvincing resolutions ever. It seemed like Pete developed "Stockholm syndrome" for his captor and these were trying to pass it off as "love"!!

I sure hope not...but there were rumors that VegasPete storyline is why the previous production house pulled out. They wanted to omit/change the VegasPete storyline but the author didn't agree. Not sure if that is the whole truth but going by that it seems like the VP storyline here would be similar to the book. Also there were scenes in trailer like Pete tied up and Vegas with electric rods...so yeah, I think it's same.

Basically that evil satan Vegas drugs Porsche with some kind of strong aphrodisiac planning to SA him but Kinn arrives in time to kick his a$$. Eventually Kinn has s** with a drugged out of his mind Porsche and literally ruins him!! Consent isn't a known entity in KP universe mind you...Then that SOB Vegas shifts his eye to sweet, loyal Pete since he couldn't get Porsche and SA him and tortures him. While reading VegasPete parts in the novel I was so horrified that I wanted to somehow enter the book and save Pete from this evil man's clutches!! Those scenes were utterly nauseating...If you are still in doubt, let me clarify it. I absolutely abhor Vegas...No amount of whitewashing will EVER,EVER, EVER make me like that character!!

It's been ages since BBS finished airing and even NM has concluded, but that page is still full of grievances against BBS. I would understand if it was genuine but damn! they know sh$t about what bad buddy fans went through during the airing of the show and start spewing nonsense...As if it was solely due to bad buddy that NM is not getting enough attention!! I even read a post in which they were namecalling bad buddy. ..Made me so bloody angry! But I neither want to stoop to that level nor do I want to argue with ignorant and mannerless ppl who do not know how to respect other shows. Even if you are biased towards one show, there is a limit you shouldn't be crossing while critiquing others. But If name-calling some other show and blaming someone else wrongly for your misfortune makes them feel superior who am I to argue? To each their own.
P. S - There were some polite posts too which put forth their arguments eloquently. I'm not talking about those. Only the derogatory ones.

I had fun reading those comments too...I have never seen a fandom so united in bashing their own show...😂 I went there to check if it is worth binge watching but those comments totally made the decision for me:)

If you have read the novel for KP you'd realize that almost all pairings in it (except maybe Kim/Porche(lead' brothers) are basically problematic and toxic...They have nonconsent and 'Stockholm syndrome' as the norm there..Practically every relationship in the book follows this theme!! Not to be judgemental but let's see how the makers execute such a problematic book on screen though...It would be nice if they tone down these aspects in the series.
It's very hard to come by a healty relationship like Pat/Pran even in straight dramas...That's why BBS is and would remain as one of the best rom-com dramas ever produced for a long time...
