I didn't really enjoy this season as much. Starting from the casting - I get that the show needs some entertainment & celebs, but I don't think that for example : Chuu or Kyuhyan had ANTYTHING going for them. When introducing the contestants in the first ep it felt like a group o celebrities or people who want to gain popularity by being on the show, not like a group of actuall intelligent people, that are specs in their respective fields. Some met those criteria (have to name Lee Se Dol and 7high here), but most of the contestants I felt like didn't have much to offer and mainly rode on the alliances. Some proved themselves, but the majority did nothing for the show other than maybe look pretty on the poster and boost views by being there.

I can totally see where a lot of people wouldn't enjoy it. I actually liked the second half better than the first.…
yea, I kind of feel like GMM dramas, regardless of the director, have an issue with pulling the story through till the 12th episode. I watched a lot and every time feel let down by the ending. May be an issue with the said need for 12 episodes, or lack of care, since the selling point is the first few eps.

did anybody else notice the SEXUAL tension between Seong Gi Hun and Hwang In Ho ? Like seriously you can't tell me that Hwang In Ho isn't madly in love with the main character. I swear he's so gay for him

hi guys can anybody please explain the ending to me? I didn't quite understand why Tian and Wang were do sad after Wang's transfer to another class. I get that they'll spend less time together but they still live in the same room and either way, we saw them spend time with each other outside of class A LOT. Why was Tian screaming and crying in the staircase then? Can they not talk when being in different classes? Not hating- just want to understand what's going on. Thanks ☺️🙏

I LOVED the visuals. One scene that especially stuck in my mind was the one in Glory Hotel where Ae Sin talked with Eugene about being like burning flame. I loved how the lighting and background actually made her look like one. You could tell that the colours and composition was thought out in every single scene of the show. The artistry 🤌
(the only thing that was a bit too much for me, which was I guess inevitable and needed to create a story like this, was just how many characters died. Even from the 5 main ones Ae Sin is the only one who survived...)

Title Captivating the King Spoiler
just a question - could someone please explain the ending to me ?
From what I've understood Mongwoo did not want to see the King and travel to somewhere she didn't yet decide. I don't understand the reason. Also I didn't get why in the last scene the King kept saying that from then on they will be together till their end. Am I dumb or was it not fully explained. Did she want him to come running after her and make her comeback to the palace ? And if yes then I have no idea for what reason. Also does she want to keep living as a man for the rest of her life ? If that's the case then everybody in the palace will notice their relation- just as they did before. Do they not care ? Also, what about her father ?
I would be really grateful if somebody cleared up what happened because I'm a bit lost. Thanks 🙏

True true! And, as a matter of fact, they did not meet each other that early in life. Sure, Yuan was a child and I don't know the exact ages but I believe , if not for the fact that Yuan was an orphan, they would grow up as friends - not brothers. They formed this type of relationship only because Qian found Yuan alone, without any family. I think he did it in order to give him a little bit of closure and make him feel not alone. And that is why they formed their brotherly relationship.

On My Love Mix-Up! Jun 21, 2024
i wish the script was just a bit more creative - not only is the series based on an already adapted series, but also the same lines are being used as in My School President which is pretty baffling (I'm talking about the narak-chemistry line). Not only this - there are many similarities to MSP, like for example the aim for selling as much as possible and pushing another mascots that are supposed to signify the characters (alas the ones in MSP, that were incidentally also used in the role swap in the "special episode") I know they need to make merch somehow but at least it would be nice if it wasn't the same format for the third time.
I do enjoy the chemistry and I'm interested in how the story is going to progress. Also I believe there is progress in terms of Fourth's and Gemini's acting, but up to the third ep the script is pretty disappointing for me

From the first episode I believed Ming truly love's joe but man isn't ming cheating on joe right now? I mean he's…
yep i agree. And it's also crazy to think that Ming acts this way to someone he doesn't know,(the new Joe) because earlier at least he knew that Joe loved him and he did invite him to his house out of his own will (which doesn't make Mings behaviour any better). It's just crazy to me that he forecefully kisses and manipulates a, basically, random person.

Joe is as obsessed with ming as much as ming to Joe, but they show their feelings differently, and I think Joe…
yeah and I think that Joe would never hit Ming, put him in cuffs, imprison and ruin his life long work and dreams. And that's just a part of it all, because what Ming kept doing to Joe during their "relationship" wasn't any less fucked up in my opinion...
On My Stand-In Jun 1, 2024
Title My Stand-In Spoiler
this is crazy, i thought we got the time skip to see the change that Ming went through after what happened to Joe 2 years earlier, but it seems like he didn't change at all. He's still agressive, selfish, manipulative, and doesn't care what's best for Joe (Joe from the past and the present one), only what he wants. I feel like they are also misjudging the range of the problem - for Joe it seems like the issue isn't the way he was treated, but the sole fact that Ming didn't love him. And in my opinion that is the least important in all of this, because all of the last tragic events happened because Ming literally used physicall violence on Joe and then imprisoned him.
I have no idea what kind of redemption arc would have to happen for me to want them to be together, but for now this is just painfull. I really hope Joe either ditches Ming, or Ming notices how fucked up his behaviour is and just steps away from Joe's life.
(and don't even get me started on way Joe decided to get money from his crazy, obsessive, manipulative and agressive ex, that wants to use him for his pleasure, instead of getting help from Sol, or the producer guy that ARE sane, wouldn't hit him and offered to help literally out of the kindness of their hearts...)

I'm sorry but Sea's acting is not giving a lot. Maybe it's because of the directing, lack of chemistry or simply a skill issue, but from my perspective it's giving mainly a constant lack of expression. I'm not talking about the scenes, where he's supposed to look like that - but for example the singing scene in ep 4... If the series itself didn't constantly tell us that he likes Moo, I wouldn't be able to notice any feelings for him from Sea's acting. But that's just my opinion.
